The boot was worn by my father Captain Dan J. Romero. Not Jeff senior. I see where the mistake was easy to make however. Jeff is my half-brother who played safety for Colorado State. He was commissioned at a halftime celebration for the 25th anniversary of the boot. Captain Dan J. Romero was able to pin Lieutenant bars on his son Jeff Romeros chest on the 50. Jeff was attending ROTC at UNC at that time. My father instructed at Colorado State University ROTC program when he returned from Vietnam where he was assigned to MAC-V Any questions, just ask.
