    I'm loving this tutorial so much! You've been the most helpful one out there, but I am confused on something with the decreasing, you are 2tog then 4 trying to match with your row 5, but your row 5 is inc 1 sc3 and I'm confused as to where the 4 is coming from, please help thank you!

    • @CrochetWithTiffany
      @CrochetWithTiffany  Před 3 lety +2

      Hi Phoebe! I’m so glad you like my video! Let me see if I can help. When you are ready to decrease you basically just reverse your increase rows. If you INC single crochet , then 3 sc repeat in the last increase row then when you are ready to decrease you will do the reverse and dec single crochet, 3 single crochet repeat and work your way down town after row.
      My apologies if I said something different in the video. It should be symmetrical in both sides. 😊❤️🧶. Thanks for asking!

    If I got up to 20sc between each 2sc in one. How many rounds of sc should I do before I start to decrease?

    • @CrochetWithTiffany
      @CrochetWithTiffany  Před 7 měsíci

      I guess that all depends on what you are trying to make. If you are wanting to make a plain ball I would take the side of increases you just made and trace it on a piece of paper. If you were to instantly go from increases to decreases it would take on an almond shape, in a way. By stenciling on a piece of paper the one side 2 times, cut out the shape of the paper and lay them on the table. Move the paper closer together and further apart until you see the shape you are wanting to make. Now measure that distance. Work however many rounds of single crochet stitches you need to make to reach this measured length and then start decreasing.
      It can be so hard to answer this question not knowing what size yarn or crochet hook you are using. But by utilizing this method you will get the correct answer no matter what. Hope this helps! 😊❤️🧶

    So, I can use this ball method to make a dome for my cat bed, and make it as large as I want? Do I do the 4 rows of sc to make it curve, regardless how large or small?

    • @CrochetWithTiffany
      @CrochetWithTiffany  Před 2 lety +1

      You can use this method to make a dome absolutely. Just adding rows of on stitch per stitch space between Increase rows to pull the shape into more of a cone shape. You can also make as many increase rows as you want to enlarge the size to what you want. I made a more recent video that might help you a lot.

    Is it hard to convert to a football shape?

    • @CrochetWithTiffany
      @CrochetWithTiffany  Před 2 lety

      Hi Melinda! Actually it’s pretty easy. When you are increasing rows or decreasing rows you will add one row of one sc in each stitch across between you increase rows or decrease rows and that will stretch it out making it more oval like. 😊🧶❤️

  • @betht2187
    @betht2187 Před 2 lety

    I need to make one bigger but how do I know how many sc rounds to make between the increase & starting to decrease?

    • @CrochetWithTiffany
      @CrochetWithTiffany  Před 2 lety +1

      Hi Beth! Think of the single crochet rounds as an elongation. The more sc rows you make the longer that increase or decrease section will be before you increase or decrease again. Also take into consideration how long you want this increase section or decrease section to be. Then measure how long just one row is. Divide how long you want it to be by how long one row is and that can tell you how many rows will fit in this section. Then take the number of rows, how many of those rows will need to be either increases or decreases and then see how many rows you would have left over to divide up for sc only rows. Gosh I hope all this makes sense.
