watched this last night. Great work getting this out Lattice Team. Well done to Sam for putting it all together. and of course Aidan you fricking monster!! amazing to see the next generation turning their strength into consistent solid perfomances!
Dan Varian is like a Sith Lord and Aiden is his super psyched apprentice ready to wreak havoc
Get Aidan on 'Burden of Dreams', it might suit him!
I mean yeah, but the point of the documentary was on how you don’t need to travel far from home to find great climbing.
Aidan is insane, so inspiring!
Also his shoulders are ginormous :D
Thank you Sam and Ollie for this. Not only is this a showcase and heralding of a tremendous young talent, but a love letter to the Lake District and to climbing at home.
A love letter to any place any of us may call home! Great video and sentiments! Love from Vermont!!
"there is always an illusion that world class climbing lies in different countries or continents" - being an old climber who´ve chosen not to travel anymore but rather develop amazing climbs locally, I could not aggree more.
It´s not everyday we see a strong boy with such a humble and well educated vision amidst this world of hypeness and virtual social validation.
Very well done guys! 👏
One of the top climbing documentaries ever made. Super inspiring as a climber, the message couldn't resonate more, and very insightful for future filmmakers. I stumbled across this while having a peak experience on psilocybin and I my jaw was on the floor the whole time. When a line takes so much, a lifes work of training even, and it all comes together like this, its truly a work of art to witness. Aiden, Dan and Jack all seem like top blokes. 10 stars
There was a video of Louis Parkinson awhile back struggling on a crimpy problem and he said something like “Aidan would probably walk up this” and I was like who? Now everyone will know your name. Legend
Mega. Hopefully inspire generations to come.
The future of British bouldering is now ! This is it ! Keep going 💪
I met Aidan in Magic Wood once and I just regret not staying 2 days longer to watch him climb in person. amazing documentary.
imagine how it must feel to have a breakthrough season like that. god that shit must feel amazing
Amazing film and really well produced! Aidan is such a humble character and it's really inspiring to see him climbing. Always tries hard but never shouts or seems to struggle...! So amazed at his style. I wish I could see more of his future climbing on CZcams!
This gives us so much,wonderful.
This is such a great watch.
Great job!
Solid film for sure. Great story + excellent climbing. Thanks for putting this together.
Great doc and super well put together, thank you (:
Loved that, thanks guys. Aidan, what a monster, but so humble
Great video, great climber and great message. Thanks for posting!
WOW ! no words, thank you so much Aidan and the crew for the motivation !
Beautifully put together film!
wow! such a great documentary! great work Aidan, Sam and ollie !
This got me so fucking psyched to try hard, not just physically but mentally! Let's get out minds right bois. It's project season.
Amazing doc with a great message.
sick vid guys thanks really enjoyed getting inspired to this on xmas eve. cheers!
A great film, inspiring! Thanks for sharing!
Brilliant Video! Top work Aidan 💪
This is super inspiring! This is what dedication looks like to me.
Beautiful climbing! He's style is so enjoyable. Also great soundtrack.
Quality video. Great story and footage. Inspiring .
I was searching for this 8C+ send for couple days. Finally!
Amazing content and quality !
Loved every second!
Really enjoyed that, well done to everyone involved
Incredible video!
Loving this from Catalonia! Good content!
Brilliant: Climber, Routes, Production and Edit Muchos Respectos and Happy Christmas to all involved !
So, so well done. Totally inspires me to keep climbing harder and check out more local boulders!
One of the best climbing videos of 2020. Amazing climbing and video
Aidan is such an inspiring athlete!
Wow one of the best climbing movies this year! I really enjoyed it. =) Thanks for it
Fantastic film
One of the best climbing docs I've seen. Bloody fantastic all round, and full marks for shining good light on some of the UK's bouldering
Please do more of these. Our community needs them.
Such a joy to watch! Aidan is the bee's knees.
Absolutely crushing it! 🔥
Absolutely love this kind of videos, so motivational and inspiring.
One of the best climbing documentaries out there. So inspiring. Can‘t wait to see more of aidan! Greetings from germany.
This is beautiful, super inspiring
Loved every second of it.Thanks for putting this so beautifully together. Pure joy to see Aidan mastering these impossible looking lines. And what an amazing landscape. And here we go with the trade-off; i will have to travel... but sometimes you just have to ;)
Inspire and motivate me as a young climber really much.
Such a high quality Bouldering and Video editing
Excellent film, and great to see the Lakes shown off this way - I had no idea! Refreshing to hear Dan particularly adding views on long haul flights and how fulfilling a trip to be had with a small environmental impact 👍
Oh my god, this is absolutely insane stuff. I literally can not even comprehend it right now.. Aidan is just so stupid good at this game what the heck man! And this video is a masterpiece as well!! You really did a great job capturing the spirit and essence of what makes this so special I think. My jaw was on the ground so many times during this, I can't even.. The sense of pure awe I have right now can not be expressed, and yet I think you know exactly how it feels too.
Wow, just... wow
This documentary was amazing. It highlighted the climber crushing and picked his humble yet hungry mind. Can't wait to see what Aidan does next!
Insane!! Keep it up.
dan talking about being content with climbing is so incredibly important. the community is just as, if not more important than sending hard and traveling to "world class destinations". climbing is such a social sport and even tho wherever you go the people are almost always warm and supportive, it can be so difficult to make real connections if you're just running around trying problems you feel like you need to try bc they're classics. i mean im not good enough to even know exactly what this feels like but spending time away from my climbing community makes me appreciate it that much more!!!!
Absolutely love the little rant around 31:23 about climbing in your own back yard in places that mean something to you without burning tonnes of CO2. Well said.
One of the best climbing films I've seen. So good. And what a beast Aidan is O_O
Absolutely brutal on small grips. good job on the film
amazing film, story and boulders 👍
Been looking forward to this for months! Cheers Lattice (and Aidan)
@@LatticeTraining My decision to move to the Lakes feels all the more justified now. Wow.
Such a good story and very well told. I like how the video mirrors his modesty by putting his person in perspective of the people around him. I mean it was not a video about Aiden per se but about him as part of the British climbing scene. Dan's thoughts on climbing in your home area made me understand what 'home' means, generally.
Good film Sam and Aidan. I enjoyed it.
Increible trabajo. Aidan está a otro nivel, da placer verlo escalar.
Really enjoyed the film and way to go Aiden!
Great video Aidan & crew!
Thank you lattice for this great documentary. It’s awesome to see displayed how climbing is always embedded in a philosophy.
Very insightful to think on how the best climbing in the world may well be the one we have locally, more so if taken into account the value of our local community, of our friends and history, of the place that for the moment we consider home.
The British bouldering film of 2020. Very inspiring. Really want to be up in Cumbria right now :)
Wholesome psyche! Great stuff!
Really good video.Thanks
So amazing. I relate to never putting massive amounts of time into a project. I tend to work on things that are doable within a shortish period of time which is good bc I get tons of "hard" climbing volume but I also don't really know my limits
railway is one of the best boulder problems i’ve ever seen. so pure and simple
His shoulder mobility is wild! I’m getting an impingement just looking at some of those moves
Indeed, for me as well, it’s all about the experience of the sport itself, truly amazing and honest vision here. Why go traveling if you can enjoy your life at home, it’s all relative in the end. The environment and future generations will only benefit from it!
I really enjoyed this one!
Excellent film 👍 and climbing 🤘
Epic documentary
Really really good film. Love how they go in depth into different climbs and into his weaknesses/strengths and experiences.
With that said, I welcome y'all to try and boulder in Israel and not want to run away to some world class areas half way around the globe... :D
Just wow...the quality of this video was also world class! Thank you for sharing this with us for free!
Fav climbing film of the year. It is such a palate cleanser to everything else (especially social media drama with pros traveling) and just such a lovely time to remember the inspiration around home climbing
very nice. thanks!!
Great film
I haven’t watched the video but this seems SICK. Love the work Tom, Ollie, and the rest of the crew that made this possible. If Lattice keeps up with the banger lock up content and starts producing heaters like this, I think we’ll have a new climbing media production empire on our hands. What’s next? You’re going to start making crack climbing holds or something 🤣
Hey, we’ll keep trying to make the stuff that keeps us all fuelled 🔥🔥. Thanks for the positive feedback. Will pass on to the team 😊
Great video. Greg has produced a brill guide book.
It gets better on the second watch. The filmmaking is in itself world class. How the music builds and softens towards the end is perfect accompaniment to the story of a practitioner meeting the resonance with their practice. Amazing! Gives me so much psyche.
Great video, and damn bro you are mad strong!
Interesting discussion about Mind and Body perspective
This video reminded me of how lucky I am to live where I live. Yorkshire ❤️
Such an amazing production guys, thank you! I would describe energy of this movie and Aidan as a "calm power" 💪
YES! It's so relaxing and completely mind blowing simultaneously. Simply serene hard as fuck climbing
legend
Nice film! Aidan's progression is really great. Overall travelling and trying boulders on your limits to compare with your local problems is a good thing and will improve your climbing and rating skills. Otherwise I really didn't enjoyed struggling on buttermilk V2s compared to harder FJ problems...
Can't wait for season 2 with Alphane in it
11:30 the casual right arm lock off is quite something
Seems like Aidan just cares about climbing first, and that helps him focus on climbing and getting stronger more than your average grade chaser. Super sick and motivating.
I love that watching this makes me think "Oh wow he's so humble" about aggressive sandbagging instead of... Well, I'm sure you know what.
Amazing content gents. Well documented, personable and inspiring. The only bad part is it finishing. I know the effort that goes into making just 40 minutes of output and we're all very grateful!
Even having witnessed a fraction of what he did this summer it was hard to comprehend. But actually watching it all in one go is mind blowing. Another level.
