For everyone who wants to listen to the whole thing, this is Rachmaninov piano concerto 3! I was first introduced to the Rachmaninov piano concertos with my youth orchestra, when we performed the second of Rachmaninov’s piano concertos. Thank you so much for introducing me to the third!!!!
You picked the best recording, too! Although I'd give best classical coda Schumann--piano concerto in A minor. The last two minutes are soul-startling & life-defining.
As an (admittedly very bad) keyboard player, please allow me to say that the pianist's playing was awesome! It is incredibly difficult to play all those chords so accurately, especially at such a high speed! I can only express my admiration of his talent.

Hello dear music lovers. I have a problem. Is there anyone who can help? I have kawaii kdp90. I am interested in the romantic period and composition. and the beauty of the tone I get from the piano has a positive effect on my work. I only have the opportunity to practice with the grand piano a few days a week. My problem is this: When I record the sound of the piano I practice at home using the record button and listen to it from the piano, I get the same sound as the grand piano. I wanna get that sound while playing, how can I do this? This is a big problem for me, thank you in advance.
There's a lot to love in the 3rd concerto, but for me the ending is pretty cornball. I prefer the tighter and tauter ending of the 2nd concerto. I suppose I might be in the minority on that.
They are both "rousing conclusions," but for me the 2nd concerto's ending is truly effective. But I just find the 3rd concerto's closing to be a bit "cornball." I love much of the 3rd concerto, butnot so much the closing couple pages of it. I realize that's a minority feeling. Thank goodness we are all free to like, dislike, or be indifferent to this or that bit of music. Cheers!@@nicktranscriptions
For my tastes, yes, a bit corny. I love lots of Rachmaninoff, and much of the 3rd piano concerto, but I do find the ending of it a bit corny, I realize that's a minority feeling given how wildly audiences applaud every time a competition pianist finishes the 3rd concerto. It seems an almost automatic competition win if that is the concerto that is chosen. I should say that by the ending of the piece I mean the last page or two, not the entire last movement. Cheers!@@Dylonely42
ABSOLUTELY!! No one, but Yefim!!
Bronfman and Georgiev at Suntory Hall.

Great director and pianist!!
The best piano concert ever written , it's my dream to play it ❤
Wow….The first part made me want to cry and then the very end was so epic and awesome!
Me too😢
More like a romantic ending than a classical ending
It’s one of the best on the Tube. Perfect in every way, including audio.
And they said there was no such thing as magic.
Una locura Rachmaninov!!!

You probably have to manually set the sound to Grand Piano.

Fun fact: both the second and third concertos end on the same rhythm: they are quite similar.

Good performance of an audience pleasing piece. But musically it's not a favorite. Something cheap about his music.
Too rushed. Nope.
Is he a robot?
I know it's great. But so many bars with the same chords on both hands isn't a lack of originality as well?

Rachmaninoff piano concerto no. 2 is a classical masterpiece
Surely a typo, since this is the no. 3. no. 2 is beautiful also
