I heard that the short was written by Sallie May's voice actress which I think really helped to characterize her a lot. She started off as a background character with throw away lines but seeing how much of a fan favourite she became I'm really glad to see her have a more integral role. Her being there gave character to Sallie May and Millie, and their bond reminded me so much of my own with my sister. Definitely going to be a repeat watch for me.
A theory going on is that the three month drought is when Hazbin hotel is going to drop their second season

@@tobsonasanya4765 the hell she's not! ...ironic to word it that way... you've SEEN how horrible she was to Stolas and that happened BEFORE he started sleeping with Blitz, not to mention when she was an Owlet, rather than go attend to Via, she sent Stolas. i get you THINK that she gonna be good to her and shit, but she wont, if she was so nice to Via, then maybe Stella would've tried to leave with her, but she only cared about her possessions. so stuff your "eh no" replies, she's got no redeeming qualities.
@@UltimateGamerCC You can't claim that you know how Stella treats Octavia, we have literally never seen them interact even ONCE.
We know Stella is a terrible person but that doesn't necessarily mean that she's the same with her own daughter, and the fact that Octavia willingly spends the weekends with her gives the impression that their relationship is (at the very least) not antagonistic. Also in this new trailer we hear Octavia say "You've never loved mother and you don't love me" which implies that Via does feel sympathy for her mom which paints a somewhat possitive relationship between the 2.
This is all just speculation of course, we cannot say for sure what their relationship is, which is why we can't jump to conclusion just yet like you're doing.
The short was definitely worth the watch! Getting to see Sallie May again after all this tim was a real treat! And seeing sisterly bonding between Millie and Sallie was ever so wholesome! As for the trailer it was freaking epic, In fact 3 of my favorite parts of it were-
1. We finally got a glimpse of what will happen when Stolas ends his arrangement with Blitz.
2. A glimpse of what will happen when Blitz apologizes to Verosika.
3. The Cherubs finally return and apparently team up with those two DHORK agents.
