how drummers imagine themselves playing trumpet
lol
Trombone*
@@theduker5926 I think they mean trumpet. Could be wrong.
The amount of concentration needed must be immense
A decent amount of core steength, at least above the average couch potato
@@boat02 maybe you try playing 5+ instruments at one time goofy
@@boat02 Pando is referring to the mental effort of coordinating two legs and six fingers
@@Beefstick003 what
i stg man just tripped over bro's trigger man this mf so angry he used goofy 💀
did you see him blink?
I love how seriously this dude takes it
Edit: neato
You have to bro. No half assing that.
Pretty sure that's a trance of pure concentration.
definitely lost a bet
@@damianlooksfunny Lmao.
There is no way to not take it seriously lol. This is INSANE
My band teacher showed me the original video a couple of weeks ago, what impresses me the most is how the guy can keep in that position while moving the slides for so long even without the chair.
Band Director: "I guess you guys have free time so practice or talk or whatever"
Woodwinds: "yay that means we get to talk"
The Brass players:
Yup, seems legit.
@@nicholasneyhart396 Trust me it is. If the brass section was like the woodwind section, excluding saxaphones (they are just trumpets with a clarinet mouthpeice) I wouldnt be in band.
As a person who plays woodwinds most of the time, I feel this so hard
I'm a woodwind player but I have brass energy
Such a brilliant bit. Once the trumpets come in, the trombone parts get a lot simpler, only changing pitches every two bars so the "Lonely Boy" himself can focus mostly on his hands.
I had the pleasure of seeing Mnozil in concert a few years ago and this was their encore.
Afterwards they waited outside for anyone that wanted to meet them. Very nice, polite group of gents you'll ever meet.
Same here! Somehow the version of Lonely Boy in the encore was even better than in this recording, the trombone parts were a bit more complex.
Wish I could see them. Been a consistent fan for upwards to 4 years but I’m American and I don’t make a lot of money and Mnozil, to my knowledge, broke up, as Thomas has his own band now
The deadpan look on his face every time the camera focuses on him kills me
the face of pure focus
I think that the most difficult thing about this composition is keeping a straight face.
His face be like:
This is only the 1st of my 72 forms, you mere mortal.
I actually did this exact for my Senior year high school talent show. Lonely Boy is such a simple song but the execution is the funniest thing I've ever seen 😂
For any woodwinds, this IS what happens in the low brass closet before football games
POV: No one else wants to do the group project
I just saw this performance yesterday on another stage xD
Mnozil Brass is really legendary.
me too, for the second time! In Deggendorf?
@@coolguy4644, jep, auch zum zweiten Mal xD
Everything about this is immaculate
Mnozil! I've been fortunate enough to see them live twice. So much skill and insanity
This is exactly how I feel as an organist.
He looks like a very musical spider
Me in group projects: the guy who moves the chair
So this is what they mean when they say it’s a *one man* band
Question. Do you transcribe the videos that don’t have any reference saying somebody else has transcribed it for you? Bc they definitely make the video more enjoyable. Thank-you.
if there’s no ‘transcribed by’ in the transcription it’s transcribed by myself :) transcribed by X = commissioned from another transcriber
@Riskrunner ong you were my childhood omg
@@GeorgeCollier you’re my hero 😌
@@GeorgeCollier hijacking this comment section but can ya do some Stacey Ryan transcriptions, like American Boy or Fall in Love Alone
P.s. as always, you’re a legend
@@GeorgeCollier Is it expensive to comission these transcripts?
I can't imagine how much fun that was during rehearsals 😅
your computer cpu when you have 200 chrome tabs open at once
my violinist friend did this as an encore at her graduate violin recital performance with her brass player friends. it was epic. our violin professor was horrified
Oh you knows this guy can text and drive a standard like a beast.
You can even play 4 wind instruments at once! Badly, gotta admit, but trumpet+nose flute+accordion+organ (legs only) or whatever else you can do with legs should be doable for anyone!
Presumably only the base side of the accordion, otherwise you start to be limited by hands.
i hope this video has no note version bc the show was mostly covered by the notes 😂 so curious about the chair removal part
Original vid in the description!
The trombone players are holding his legs under the knees with their free arms. And the trumpet players are doing the same under his shoulders.
Is refreshing to see Mads Mikelsen on his new career
Love how the tuba just stands there in the corner :D
Mnozil brass man... Love those guys
Oh my gosh I freaking love this band! Been listening to them for years. Haven't been listening to them in the last several years, but still really like them. Glad they're being featured on your channel!
This is possibly one of the goofiest Mnozil Brass acts, and that's saying something
It's the dead eyed expressions out of everyone other than chair guy for me.
Saw them live once. They're are wildly talented, which clashes remarkably with their goofiness
The maxed out bard that KMF'd everything and is just bored of it all now.
that expression at 1:29 is gloriously serene.
I really love this group I can’t get enough of them
He was going to add this as one of his core competencies on his resume, but it was too many words.
This reminds me of a bit the dubliners used to do called the octopus jig
title: you can't do this thing. video: consists of person doing said thing.
I remember watching this for the first time in HS band on one of those "free" days where we just watched videos after our semester concert.
Can you even begin to imagine how awkward the pitch for this was folliwed by the practise?
I love those guys! I saw them live and they were amazing!
After the show, they met the audience, took some photos, and joked with us. Lovely
Mnozil Brass getting that recognition
This is amazing!! 😂😂😂 Nice transcription as always
Kudos to the tuba man
Mnozil blowing me away again! The sheer talent and practice needed to pull this off!
That’s what I call becoming one instrument
This is art
Great vid, (and super happy for your sponsoring!)
questo è come intrattenere il. pubblico non solo da un punto di vista musicale ma anche emotivo, spettacolare.
As a musician the only complaint about this is the audience applauding in the middle of the performance. But amazing performance that was surprisingly in tune.
LOL !!! I just imagine those guys practising this piece!!
I watched them play this live a few weeks before covid hit and wow it was incredible
Mnozil Brass, these guys are excellent
The ungodly level of brain power here...
:o its Mnozil brass! They're my fav brass.. band? The do the most amazing skits.
yes i love to listen to music over the sound of the audience clapping at the loudest they can
like cmon just let it finish at least
Seen them live in Scunthorpe and Leeds, would 1000% recommend it to anyone. I laughed a lot as well as enjoyed the music, they are insane!
I bet this guy knows how to play drumsset lol
I was once at their concert, and I didn't think they would play this, but they did!
Dude I’ve been wanting this video my while life¡!,,,!!!!,
Liszt got reincarnated as a brass player and the polyphony could not be contained
How every percussionist sees themself if they know how to play brass too
Lo andaba buscando no lo encontré
Y de la nada apareció gracias por compartir. Saludos desde Oaxaca México
New level of multi instrumentalist
Woodwinds next
Mnozil is the best.
The guy with the chair tho 😂
now add a harmonica
I love the idea of Play! Next time you should include more instruments (like horn...) ;)
Yeah!
Mnozil brass are awesome
foot trombone... duet??
Respect to this mad geniuses
I wonder how this conversation went down in the brainstorming session
the dogs are out
this is my new favorite thing
Some people pay good money to live this fantasy, and they have an auditorium that paid for them. Bravo.
This is what you call a Gang-band
Makes sense.
if its dumb but it works, its not dumb
That's amazing!!!!
Guys, it's a stupid question, but the Key Signature is distracting me. It's written in B Flat, but the Bass Player does Always do harmony of an F-major-Scale. Also they play E Natural all the time.in my Opinion Just changing the Key Signature to F Major would be correct.
Well, if you want something done right...
OK. Enough internet for me today. Thanks
i didnt know trevor lawrence was a musical prodigy
The Tuba in the back be looking so left out
Beautifully strange 👏🏾
yes i can play 4 instruments at once
Lonely boy 😂
I don't see what's so impressive about that chair.
GIGACHAD
didn't know putin the spy had to do this during training
I was so transfixed on the facial 'expression' I almost missed the hands
HOW IS TROMBONE TWO PLAYING A C IN FIRTS POSITION AND AN A IN THIRD
That's about half as complicated as playing a simple song on the organ
Why is the key signature in Bb when it’s clearly in F?
Same difference
@@microcolonel tell that to the person who would be handwriting all those natural signs back in the day

If Quentin Tarantino was a composer lmao
Would be nice if the sheet wasn’t over most of the performance like in the other vids.
So... I might wanna join but not too sure.
