She is now MORISSETTE AMON LAMAR, she is now married to her co-writer and co-producer DAVE LAMAR also a Filipino singer/songwriter/producer/director, she got married on the 28th June 2021they have been together for over ten yrs after meeting on the VOICE OF THE PHILIPPINES, her father fell out with her after finding out that was having a relationship with Dave, her 1st song she wrote LOVE YOU STILL, is about her estranged relationship with her father, despite reaching to him

The answer to your question is NO!! I can’t find anyone else that is better than Morissette. There are a lot of good singers out there but there are only a handful of great singers. Morissette sits on top of that list of the greats!!
Plus once you have listened to Morissette there is NO NEED to find anyone else.

Mike, I enjoyed this reaction. Like you, Morissette is my favorite female vocalist and I think this duet with Daryl is awesome. They just slay the harmonies. On the other hand, I accept your challenge. I have followed Morissette ever since I first saw her Wish Bus performance of Secret Love Song four or so years ago. But 2-3 months ago, I watched a video of a singer who has a gorgeous voice and shares (perhaps even exceeds) Morissette's ability to communicate emotions. This is an old performance (approx. 20 years), live, and in French. But Lara Fabian, like Morissette, sings in the song. She shares her experience with you. You really need to check out Katrina Velarde if you want to see vocal technique. A fun one to start with, also featuring Daryl Ong, is One Sweet Day. They also sing with Michael Pangilinan and Bugoy Drilon, also very good singers.
Now she is writing her own music with the help of her husband Dave Lamar.
You hit it perfectly.....good singers don't have to think about hitting that up coming F5.....or switching from chest to head and down to mix.... Morissette is so comfortable and in total control, hat can harmonize with NE1.. You Sir are correct...... there is not a female vocalist on the planet today that can compare to her command of song......Daryl is amazing as well.....check out his Ordinary People cover, by John Legend......I like it better than the original.

Hi Vocal Coach Mike G.! for me the harmony of Daryl & Morissette is better than Calum & Leona Lewis.
I like the idea of having a separate, more technical video in addition to a reaction video. However, I would like more reaction in the initial video pointing out specific things that are done well. The second video would then explain how they are done well. This video lacked specifics and left me feeling like it was made my a non-musician fan. What I enjoy about your previous reaction videos is when you stop and point out where techniques (e.g. vibrato, registration shifts, vowels, etc.) are done well. In the first video, I wouldn't need a technical explanation of how to do it; but, I enjoy when you point out where in the performance of takes place. Please interpret my comments as praise for your reaction videos and a desire for more of what I love (with the added bonus of a technique video!). I appreciate you sharing your knowledge and expertise with the public. I know that I have much to learn❗ 🎶

If you love The diversity music can bring and any artists that can take what is an make it even more as much their own. You should listen to Jonathan Antoine doing John Denver Country Roads. He is classic crossover and he does the Righteous Brothers Unchained Melody and when he does the version from Thousand Oaks those last two notes drop me to my knees in heartbeat. Breakdown he's phenomenal and I have appreciation for almost all kinds of music out that some of it it's just too loud for me but Disturbed doing Simon and Garfunkel, Sound of Silence in freaking credible.

With all due respect, you're acting like singers like Morissette are a dime a dozen, when in reality singers of her caliber almost never come around, either in the Philippines or in the rest of the world. "Normal people" cannot sing like her. It takes years of legitimate dedication to the craft, plus talent that frankly most people aren't blessed with.
Omg Yuri I've been to OPM music since childhood but I do not hear any greater singer more beautiful vocal tone until Morissette developed her instruments past several years. Not even regine kyla impressed me because I already knew what real great singers are. My ears have heard worldwide great talents through web and digital chart toppers and 90s chart toppers. Non sense to say that there is a lot, I cannot even believe that she is Morissette and she is our own. Again it is non sense to say that there's a lot in the Philippines and even Charice has not impressed me as much as Morissette did. I am a pop ballad r&b sucker and Morissette with her talent I thought I was ready but I wasn't.
