@@joestfrancois There is a ton of evidence, but you have to do the research for yourself because you’ll never be able to come to that conclusion with one or two pieces of evidence. It’s like a puzzle, you need to seek out all of the pieces and put it together and then you’ll understand but you won’t ever do that. It’s available for you to do on your own. Once you see you cannot unsee it.
I’ll get you pointed in the right direction. Look up Saul of Tarsus. (St Paul) Originally a nonbeliever himself. Look up CS Lewis. Originally another non believer. Look up Randy Kay. Watch the movie a case for Christ or read the book. Numerous atheists, who have ended up doing the research themselves and coming to an inevitable conclusion. Archaeological evidence for the location of the alter of Abraham at Mambre. Look up Joel P. Kramer. Quite frankly, there’s too much evidence to try to point out to you. God bless you. I hope you find the correct path.

Dawkins states things as fact because he is either unaware of his own assumptions, or he is dishonestly trying to sneak them through and hoping nobody calls him out. At 9.50 he states science doesn't have the answers yet to the origin of life/the universe therefore we need to invoke god instead. This isn't logical, it's the god of the gaps, wherever there is a gap in science we'll just throw god in there as the cause, we've seen this throughout history, as we've discovered more and more through science people's belief in god's influence seems to have shrunk.
Dawkins uses the example of a car turning and avoiding obstacles as an example of agency. Okay, let's play with this analogy. What if you go up to that car after it has parked and you find that it is actually controlled by an AI? The car has now become a mechanism rather than an agent. Yet there is still an agent involved. The agent is the creator of the AI. In fact, because the agent is not directly in control of the car, that agent has become exponentially more sophisticated. A dog or monkey can conceivably steer a car. No animal, however, can create an AI and hook it up to control a car. It is even more ridiculous to suggest that the AI came about through natural processes and hooked itself up to the car.
Life is unfathomably more sophisticated than an AI controlled car. It requires a godlike agent to have been established. If you are going to argue that the living creatures we see today were produced through a mechanism such as evolution, that only demonstrates that the agent had to be immensely capable in order to get this result out of evolution. Thinking that evolution alone will get us complex life is like banging two sticks together and expecting that to produce a house. It has nothing capable of producing complexity. It is natural selection working on random mutations, which are both destructive forces, not creative forces. To get complex life out of evolution really would require a supreme agent such as God.

Saying Evolution requires an immensely capable agent is like saying when rivers form canyons with all kinds of complex twists and walls, that requires a stone mason.
Two rocks are rolling down a hill. One of the rocks is being guided and could turn and steer at any moment, but the other is just following the natural path based on its shape and the shape of the hill. We can watch the unguided rock following predictable physics and predict exactly where it will go… but there is no reason to assume the guided rock will follow the same predicted path. So many correct predictions have been made, we have no good reason to believe Evolution, or anything we have thoroughly investigated with Science, to be a guided process.
We simply have no need of that unnecessary assumption that has no explanatory power.
@@Tinesthia I agree. I think evolution is entirely unnecessary and only exists because it's the closest shot to getting God out of creation. Even then, it has no real explanatory power. The unguided, destructive nature of natural selection acting upon random mutation is so counter to the production of complex life that only a supreme being like God could possibly get anything out of it. And if God exists, then there's no reason to believe in evolution.

Surely Richard Dawkins knows that behind closed doors top evolutionary biologists whisper amongst themselves that Darwin's theory is ultimately untenable. Same goes for origin of life scientists. Saying "I don't know" is a lot more honest than asserting an explanation without evidence. You don't need to explain the origin. You can withhold judgement in the absence of evidence.
Lenox seems to be making deistic arguments, there's still all the work to do to get to theistic assertions, and specifically those of an abrahamic god.
The God theory doesn't add explanatory value evolution, it is extraneous to the explanation. It makes the explanation more complex, and therefore falls by occams razor

When we are born again, we are given a new Spirit. Which is The Holy Spirit. This is what makes the change in us that any truly born again believer will testify of.

My main issue with Dawkins is that he has admitted that he’d prefer that there not be a God, so he is admitting that he is biased towards atheism, which could affect his scientific research and the conclusions he reaches.

About blending evolution and what God created. 2 Christians and myself (a Christian) were discussing this. No matter how I tried to explain that they were in error to believe in a cooperative of evolution/creationism, I could not with my own understanding. I prayed, "God there must be something in Your word to help me here", I turned to Geneses and low, it was written there the whole time.
After God created each day, He said that He saw that what He created was Good, and at the end of it all He Saw that it was very good. I than thanked God and stated, if something created, by man or God is Good, or even very good why would it need changed or an evolution to occur. In unison they said "well that's good enough for me" ; meaning they no longer believe in a cooperative evolution/creation theory.

That's cute and all, but we know evolution occurs. The definition of evolution is "a change in allele frequency over subsequent generations." The pepper moth you learned about in 9th grade is a perfect and simple example of this.
We now know that a day is one revolution of the earth as it orbits the sun. Explain exactly how your god had day one, day two, and day three, when he didn't create the sun until day four? Explain how he planted all the trees and grasses and the trees bore fruit all on day three but there wasn't a sun until day four. I guess he failed photosynthesis at god school...
@@mirandahotspring4019 That's a great question and I'm excited for your desire to know more; Its important to realize that the "Days" that God created, are literal 24 hour period as you mentioned. As you mentioned also, the plants could not wait around thousands of years for God to create the Sun, which He created on day 1.
One unique thing about how God created seeds is as long as they are without water, they can be frozen. In order for the seeds planted on the 3rd day to produce, as you explained they needed the heat of the sun which He created on the 1st day.
"Then God said, “Let there be light”; and there was light. And God saw the light, that it was good; and God divided the light from the darkness. God called the light Day, and the darkness He called Night. So the evening and the morning were the first day.
The seasons were designed and set into motion by Him on the 4th day.
He promises that if you seek Him you will find, which eventually leads to your relationship with Him through Jesus Christ.
His Way, is that He becomes intermit with you as a Good Father. Nevertheless its His way and not mans way or mans religion. He is my God and your God because He created you and I, among everything else. He did not make it difficult for you or I and we should be VERY thankful of that.
"For God did not send His Son into the world to condemn the world, but that the world through Him might be saved."
Through Him, and Him alone are we saved. Just pray to God to save you and He will. He paid a high price for you, His life.

Please don't bring up there were smart apes as most evolutionist explain. Evolution is a theory that has been proven wrong on all counts. Example: God created the Sun on the first day, on the 3rd day He planted the seeds, and on the forth day He set the seasons into motion. The seeds could not have waited 1000s of years for God to create the seasons Hence He being God is able to Create out of nothingness in 1 day, in all 6 days, each day reling on Gods previous creation of the day before. Sun, Earth, Water... ect. literally each day.

Yeah, like when you see a digital representation of a ball drop in, say a game for instance, the programmer is not pushing the ball down 😅 but it is the command he put in the code that prompts the action. But I think it's clear to me, that no matter how much sense you make to certain people, they don't wish to see your valid point, but to play out delusions that make them feel fulfilled like scratching an itch, instead of treating the issue.
People running from God will run to anything else and say 'this is my god now, you cannot speak here', and yet will exhibit an observational restlessness if untrained, and if trained work their entire image to hide it. Deities created by man will easily be explained and sold, but will never exercise the Fruits of the Spirit that they will readily expect of those who follow Christ.

Jesus is not talking about Baptism. Jesus makes it clear that the water is referring to being born of the flesh, rather than baptism. Jesus requires your faith. Believe on the Lord Jesus Christ and thou shalt be saved.

Some use so speech that is so difficult for the layperson to even follow along with that 90% goes over their heads. They sometimes forget that all of us do not have a masters in religious studies or seminary education etc. or that we aren’t extensively educated in scientific matters. They end up having a debate that only they understand. I know I’m not the only one lol. The biblical arguments need to be where the average person can understand and this is exactly how he debates! The origin of life is distinct from the diversity of adaptability of life. Evolution only deals with the latter two.
We have never found computer code in the wild. We have no reason to think that computer code could exist without human involvement. On the other hand, we find life everywhere. It clearly came from somewhere, but we don't know how. "God did it" presupposes god exists. Science cannot rule out this possibility, but there's no evidence for it being more likely than other explanations.
Could you name another explanation? I’ve never heard one I considered convincing for how you move from primordial soup to a cell. As a biologist myself I would genuinely like to know.
