JS needs to just finish races... It reminds me of a Yamaha rider (forgot his name) back when Jeff. Matasavitch (sry spellings) was racing....Was fast or crashed... no inbetween.... too bad... would like to see stewart just ride for once..

James had taken Adderall since he was a child (legal and prescribed by doctor). After he was suspended for so long and then not allowed to take the Adderall while competing, he was done for. Adderall speeds up heart rate and metabolism as well as substantially improving brain focus. Getting off the Adderall resulted in slower metabolism and less mental sharpness/focus. That's the reason for the weight gain we saw with James when he came back and the crashing out of races. He couldn't perform the same without it. Being on it so many years and then having to stop taking it was too much. Especially if he was ADHD and legitimately needed it...which he may have. I don't know. Either way, the changes in his weight, the regular crashing, and being oess enthused/driven to compete are all pretty much due to him not being allowed to take Adderall anymore. I took it many years, quit taking it, started again, etc. I know exactly what it's like and the huge difference it makes mentally and physically. In motocross it's going to make a lot more difference than in some sports due to the focus needed and the endurance. Was he ADHD and legitimatly needed it? I don't know, but whether he was ADHD or not, he took it for years and had he been able to continue taking it, he could've ridden like he always had and won races in 2015 and 2016 instead of what we saw. Perhaps he would have raced much longer or even still be racing. It's possible. After the 2014 season, James was never anywhere near as good, fit, or driven to race. I promise you a huge part of why is because he couldn't take Adderall.
