I think morty should be excited for being in an anime, and Rick like "come on morty, all the animes are the same. You want to see some cartoon pantys? Why dont you get laid morty?"
It has all the things I hate about anime and none of the things I love about Rick and Morty. The whole script must’ve been “uhh ehh ergh ungh oofn eerg yuunh ainh uh ouh woh owh eehn uhhnnh eeehahch erngh eweo” couldn’t watch past first episode. All characters said stuff that none of the actual characters would say. Like summer being excited to rescue Morty. And the one thing about anime that anyone can appreciate is the art styles. That wasn’t good here either. Whose idea was it to take on such a beloved show?

As far as US shows with animedaptations, there's already been TMNT, X-Men, Blade, Power Puffs and more... and yes, some have been good and some bad. The best thing about this is the realization that we are going to get twice as much Rick and Morty for a few years

@@DarrisPope They air certain things subbed on occasion, like anime that never got dubbed. Or new premieres during April Fools. I remember they aired FLCL Progressive subbed during April Fools, and they aired Mind Games subbed as well.
This on the other hand is gonna air dubbed on Thursday, subbed on Saturdays during Toonami.

I’m unsure if this is just me but I like Rick’s voice for this anime! It has its own unique spin while having that Justin Roiland vibe we all know and love, rather than trying to copy the original voice.

The first episode of this was boring.
I am not an anime fan, I've never been interested in anime or it's style of animation and story telling so i know that I, as an individual won't that much appeal to rick and morty in this style but I think my question still stands, why make this??? Why make an adjacent show to a show that's still running for one, and secondly, who asked for this???
