Haglers chin is made of steel, in that first round he eats numerous clean shots from Hearns, and he hit like a train hitting you. Unreal fight. It and Gatti v Ward trilogy are the fights I showed my kids to get them interested in boxing, they already loved mma, these showed them that boxing had a lot to offer.

Yes, a prime Mike Tyson had some of the most devastating hooks and uppercuts in the history of boxing but honestly, watching that footwork could make a true boxing aficionado cry. Truly a wickedly beautiful sight to behold. 225 pounds of destructive waltz - especially when transitioning from his deceptively good defense to the trademark hook-to-uppercut. I don't think we will ever see a heavyweight like that again. A true testament to boxing being "the sweet science." Honored to have witnessed it in real-time.
And Rest in perfect Peace, Marvin Hagler... you truly were "Marvelous."
Yeah, Its one thing to fear when you see a heavyweight punch so hard, but its another thing to see someone who hits so hard movet and pivot that fast.
I think the last place I'd want to get hit by Tyson is my body.....lmfao. Honestly though one of Tysons left hooks to the kidney would be the last place Id pick if I had to pick a spot and let him it me.
He was a master of that Peek-a-boo style..Speed, Power and techique in both hands and stances..
I didn't see Tyson fight real time, but from some of these videos, he was not only a deadly puncher, he had deadly accuracy, and an excellent ability to punch through the holes in a fighter's guard, from unperfect body positions.
One of the greatest knockouts ever was definitely Marciano Vs Walcott. One single right hand to the jaw, Moore was out cold, like a light switch had been flicked. He was left hanging on the ropes in a lifeless mess, and by some accounts he didn't wake up till long after the bell. Definitely one of the best.
It broke him.He was nothing in the rematch.
I loved that sneaky right hook as he walked past him as well.

That was a fight that needed no count. The Susie Q sent Walcott off to dreamland in one of the most brutal knockouts of all time. Marciano was going to knock you out. Few times did he ever have to go the distance.
Big George winning the heavyweight championship at 49 makes him the goat!

The way Foreman basically juggled Ron Lyle's head with his fists at the end was something I've never seen before.
Just put Lyle to sleep standing up. Lucky for Lyle it was the 5th round and Big George was tired. Otherwise he would have knocked his head clean off.
@@TheSteveSteele I wonder how good Ron Lyle could have been if his life had worked out differently. He learnt to box whilst in prison serving a sentence for second degree murder. He was also stabbed, almost fatally, while in prison. Although he had boxed while in prison, he didn't turn pro until he was 30. He was a huge puncher and actually beat Jimmy Ellis and was pretty competitive against Ali, as well as the in the war against Foreman.
@@Boxing4K I think he could have been very good. Well, he was at the steps of a championship, stood toe to toe with Ali, Foreman and Shavers, acquitted himself extremely well, so that speaks for itself. He’s one of the greats from one of the greatest eras, IMO.

Sometimes I think about the fact that Tommy Morrison could have been killed during that Ray Mercer fight. The ref was horrible, it should have been stopped at least 6 punches earlier.
