      Thank you Solitude, I’ve been going through a spiritual awakening for 2 years, I reached a spiritual ‘high’ not knowing what was coming next …. DNOTs was so intense, the pain in my heart chakra made me feel like dying. Fear was so intense and my ego gripped to anything it could to resist.

      Omg,, you're video and words were like water being given to me dying of thirst in the desert,
      This journey into myself as been terrifying at times, have connected with a scary underworld of invisible entity's marked with a presence of a almighty power. Things heard and felt,
      Processing long held pain since child. Still in the process of feeling the rage nd hurt , each time feeling lighter renewd reborn,,
      Have felt very alone, have to keep reminding myself I'm in a process,,
      Thsnkyou you truly do know this path,
      Many thanks Lisa.

      I didn’t read this comment until after I had already shared it with someone who like me is struggling with the awakening process, ego death, and the dark night of the soul. I mentioned to him that this was one of the best constructed explanations of this ongoing life process that I had seen so far. Every sentence is chock full of profound truth, but is stated in incredibly simple, understandable language. Thank you, thank you, thank you! ❤❤❤❤❤❤❤

      I reject the over simplified 'don't react' part of your comment, it does not seem wise or healthy in the context of that sentence. Sounds like getting metaphorically punched in the face and not reacting or learning from it to help yourself or others, I do not buy that 'ultimate passivity' crap.

      @Vesotera  Před 10 měsíci +11

      @nathanmoranx2105 I appreciate your perspective and understand your concerns. It's true that life often requires us to respond and learn from experiences. The idea of "not reacting" might be better framed as responding consciously with awareness and compassion, rather than reacting impulsively. It's about finding a balance between taking action when needed and cultivating mindfulness in our responses. Each situation can be unique, and it's essential to approach it with discernment and wisdom. Thank you for sharing your thoughts! 🌟

    You nailed the dark night, it pulls me down into the depths where I feel no foundation, nothing to hold on to. It’s like I don’t exist, what is real and feel on the edge of insanity at times trying to hold on to my old self…

    • @Vesotera
      @Vesotera  Před 7 měsíci +7

      Your experience resonates deeply with the essence of the dark night's journey. It can indeed feel like an unsettling freefall into the unknown. Remember, this phase, as intense as it is, serves as a profound transformation. It's about releasing the old to embrace a renewed self. Stay strong; this challenging phase is often where the most significant growth and self-discovery happen. You are not alone in this journey.

    I recently discovered this concept, Dark Night of the soul. It was the first thing I'd heard in months that resonated within me, and I have scoured videos, articles, podcasts...nothing. For months.
    My dad passed away in August, and I see now I had begun my Dark Night of the soul at the beginning of 2023. But this video is the first one I've seen that offered more than validation; guidance. And right now that is in incredibly short supply, as well as difficult to embrace, with the lack of trusting and all. So, from the literal depths of my soul, thank you for some light. ❤

      I truly understand your struggles, and I'm sorry to hear them. It can seem that we are all alone in this challenging path, but know that there are many people facing similar challenges - read the comments of this video to find and connect with people on a similar journey. In my own path I've found that unconditional love and unity/oneness is the ultimate answer. Love for everything and everyone, even those who are not typically considered "good". Once I found unconditional love everywhere and for everyone (AND MOST IMPORTANTLY, LOVE AND FORGIVENESS FOR MYSELF), I found that LOVE IS the ultimate goal and purpose of life. When this epiphany happened I felt a divine energy flowing through my body, I started crying tears of joy, i felt the chills, I felt loved, I felt content, I felt divine and comforted, I realized that I'm not solely my ego, nor my body, nor my mind, nor my status, nor my money, and i was reborn. 🌟
      We are spiritual beings, we are worthy of love.
      Sending you a big hug filled with love and light! Stay strong and endure! The best is yet to come!🤞💛

    This can happen differently for everyone. I've had quite a few. I lived in a Zen monastery and have more than 12 years of Zen meditation behind me. And besides, 4-5 years of non-duality, etc. Doesn't matter after all. And my ego didn't die. Lots of pieces broke off of it, but it wasn't completely dead. So don't be surprised if the dark night of the soul doesn't tear the ego right away. There are people like me for whom this is a much longer process. I had my first when I was 18, since then I've had quite a few and now I'm 46. Patience. And don't be too hard on yourself.

    Very helpful video, thank you. The last few years and especially the last few months, I lost my financial stability and everything related to status and material success, which was one of my biggest fears. Since a very young age I was raised to become "someone", in a family where everyone has managed to become successful, rich, famous or gifted with something. But, as a spiritual seeker, something inside myself keeps telling me that I should embrace these losses as an opportunity to release attachments, and to appear "poor and naked" (therefore pure) in front of myself, others, and God if that exists (I'm still a skeptic :)). It's a challenge, not a punishment. This perspective also encourages me to view life as a game, and not something serious. I think viewing life as a game is key on the Path, or else we're completely subjected to attachment because * everything is so important 😱 *. The gods are laughing, so does the awakened man. Again, thanks a lot for this video !

      I feel like I am walking alone in a valley between my old life and my new life. None of my old friends are believers in Jesus Christ. That goes for my family too. I have lived the life of a prodigal son for most of my life and I have caused myself health issues and it shows. People look at me differently now. It is not a good feeling. I am trying to find new friends that are believers, but I feel that my appearance is making me hesitant.

    • @Vesotera
      @Vesotera  Před 9 měsíci +2

      Your commitment to your spiritual path is evident and inspiring. It's often our inner journey of faith that transforms us, not the approval of others. Stay true to yourself and your spiritual convictions even if they change over time, as they are the heart of your transformation, beyond appearances or societal expectations. Your authentic self will attract genuine souls who resonate with your journey.
      I truly empathize with the solitude and challenges you're experiencing, especially when undergoing such a profound transformation. Remember, every spiritual journey is deeply personal and unique, and it's entirely valid to seek connections with those who share your beliefs. Your dedication to finding your spiritual tribe in the face of challenges is commendable.
      While shared beliefs and finding a faith-based community are valuable and provide a comforting sense of belonging, it's also enriching to recognize the essence of unconditional love that truly binds and uplifts our collective consciousness. Reflecting upon Christ's consciousness reminds us that the core of our spiritual journey is anchored in unconditional love, transcending beliefs, and uniting us all in a shared, divine essence.
      Belief systems can vary, but genuine connections are built on mutual respect, understanding, and unconditional love. Sometimes, the most profound relationships come from embracing and learning from our differences.
      In our society, it's not uncommon for individuals to grapple with ego superiority and rigidity, believing their perspective or belief system is the only valid one. This isn't a challenge unique to any one person, but a broader societal observation as this is probably the main cause of war and destruction. The goal isn't to diminish the importance of finding fellow believers but to emphasize the beauty of connecting with souls who radiate unconditional love and authenticity, transcending rigid viewpoints.
      Embrace your path, knowing that love is the true universal language. 🌟

    But the worst enemy you can meet will always be yourself; you lie in wait for yourself in caverns and forests. Lonely one, you are going the way to yourself. And your way goes past yourself, and past your seven devils. You will be a heretic to yourself and witch and soothsayer and fool and doubter and unholy one and villain. You must be ready to burn yourself in your own flame: how could you become new, if you had not first become ashes?

      Indeed, Nietzsche captures the essence of the journey inward with profound clarity. The path to self-discovery often means confronting and embracing the many facets of ourselves, some of which we may find challenging. Mine was a pure hell.I was talking to the lights in my house,as if I were talking directly to God Himself.For some reason, I HAD to memorize "The Apostles Creed" and when talking to the lights,I had to say it before the " Light Tunnel" closed.I can remember my husband listening to me recite The Creed and saying," Wow,I wish I could talk that fast" ,which at that time brought me out of the " Light Tunnel".The one time " The Light Tunnel" actually closed, and I found myself in this abyss,total darkness,with scary fish from the very depths of the ocean.I don't know how long I was down on the floor in the kitchen thinking,this is it,it's over,when I heard my husband say" What are you doing down there?".It was like hearing an angel.I looked up, and he had his hand extended to help me up.After that,I don't remember much,except the FACT that now,I can't live without Christ and my Bible.I have no friends anymore,as they think I'm weird because of the change and my immediate family of seven have all passed and my children and grandchildren don't have anything to with me.Not sure of my purpose,but the hurting can be hell sometimes.I'm ready to go HOME to be with my Lord and Savior❤❤❤❤❤

    There are man "Dark Nights" throughout life. However, there is also the Dark Night of the Soul and the Dark Night of the Spirit that occur during an authentic spiritual awakening process. The Dark Nights in awakening can last 20 or more years. When one completes purging and integration the personal shadow, one will experience "ego death" but this is not permanent. The Ego becomes integrated with the Soul. The Soul then experiences the much more difficult Dark Night of the Spirit. If one can survive this, one will become Self Realized and will no longer have to incarnate on Earth.

      I'm truly touched by your openness in sharing your experience. The path of the "dark night of the soul" and "ego death" is undeniably challenging, and it's brave of you to voice your journey. Your experience reminds me of the difficult moments in my own spiritual journey when everything felt devoid of meaning, pushing me into my own dark night. The weight of these emotions and realizations was immense.
      One lesson that stood out to me was the importance of surrender and enduring. Rather than resisting or battling the overwhelming feelings, I learned the value of letting go, observing my emotions and thoughts without judgment, and allowing the process to unfold while embracing the present moment in its entirety. This act of surrender and being compassionate with myself was pivotal in navigating those challenging times.
      I genuinely hope you find solace and strength in the midst of your journey. Remember, sometimes the most profound growth comes from our deepest challenges and, as mentioned in the video, even in the darkest nights, dawn is just a horizon away. Please continue to reach out, share, and connect with those who can support you during this time. You are not alone in this journey. Sending you warmth, light, and healing energy. 🌟

      I'm 44 & been dealing with similar situation to what you're experiencing esp after growing up in an empathy-void family of narcissists who still to this day seem to want to see me fail! 1 thing thats helped me survive moments of extreme emotional pain is asking God to take it from me. I've also started praying & gone to a local non-denominational church 3 times so far which has def helped me feel a bit more hopeful esp when you realize there's LOTS of us feeling outa control right now!!! If you dont have faith try asking your Spirit Guide to help & take things 1 day at a time. 2 quotes I like to remind myself: "If you're going thru Hell keep going" & "If you change the way you look at things, the things you look at will change"! Hang in there!!!🤍

      The only thing that helped me with my anxiety was the uncomfortable realization that it's the dark side of egoism. In short, people with anxiety care so much about someone or something hurting them that they end up hurting themselves. Your mind is supposed to help you, not hurt you, you're using it wrong. What you're describing is not ego death, but just a breakdown. Anxiety is just fear - it really helps to think about what exactly you're afraid of, why, what you're doing to protect yourself and whether is it helping. Most of the time, it's not. Paradoxically, once you stop focusing so much on avoiding pain and your own wellbeing, your pain decreases and your wellbeing is improved. You're trying to protect yourself because you think something can break you, but the truth is that it will only break you if you let it. Life is hard, but take adversity gracefully and don't cling to anything, especially yourself. There are many things we think we need to care about or feel, but just stop and see that most of it is a choice. No one can stop you from being cheerful inside even in adverse situations. Why do you have to be miserable, does it help in any way? No, it only makes you miserable. Severe mental illness is terrible, but in my experience the truth is it's not your responsibility and there is little you can do but save yourself. I hope you feel better soon!

    I find it strange that people are so dramatic about ego "death"... Something that never existed cannot die and can't be mourned. Don't you think that's just your ego being sad you're abandoning it? Chill out, your ego was never that important in the first place, it's playing tricks on you. If you're feeling "profound", that there is ego

    • @Vesotera
      @Vesotera  Před 10 měsíci +3

      Thank you for sharing your perspective. I understand where you're coming from. The term "ego-death" is indeed metaphorical. It doesn't imply that the ego literally dies, but rather that our attachment to it diminishes, allowing for a broader understanding of self. The ego, in many spiritual teachings, refers to our constructed identity and sense of self-importance. While it may not be a tangible entity, its influence on our perceptions and actions is very real. Recognizing and transcending this influence is a profound experience for many. I value all viewpoints on this journey of exploration and appreciate your contribution to the conversation.

    This video fails to recognize the objective truth that we were created. Period. Created by an Intelligent Source. Many call this Source God. Our union with our Creator has been severed and the deep desire we feel is a desire for union again. Pretending this is just a “universal” metaphor is pointless. You will NEVER fulfill this desire by aiming at something else. This is NOT just a psychological issue. Again, we have a very real Creator. There was a very real fracture. Your desire for union again with God is REAL. Not a metaphor.
