  • Cabbage with egg taste better than pizza! Health, simple and low carb. My go to diet meal.
    Ingredients and recipe:
    Cabbage (300g)
    Bacon (50g)
    Shredded carrot (1/4 of a carrot)
    Salt (1.5 tsp)
    Egg (2 beaten, 1 whole)
    Flour (2 tbsp)
    Water (20ml)
    Black pepper (to taste)
    Vegetable oil
    Seaweed & sesame seed (optional)
    Japanese mayo (optional)
    Sriracha (optional)
    Thinly slice the cabbage
    Thinly slice the bacon
    In a mixing bowl, add cabbage, shredded carrot, bacon, salt, 2 beaten eggs
    Mix together, then add the flour, continue to mix
    Add cold water and black pepper, mix until thickened
    Heat up a pan in medium heat
    Add the mixed batter
    Use a spoon, make a hole in the middle of the batter
    Let it cook for 2 minutes and flip
    Crack an egg in the middle and continue to cook for 2 minutes
    Flip again and cover with lid, cook for 2 more minutes
    Garnish with sesame seed, seaweed, Japanese mayo and siracha (all optional)
    Done, hope you enjoy!

    Yum! Next time add a 1/2 tsp of toasted sesame oil and see what happens! BTW, what do you call this recipe? In my house, my kids refer to it as Dad's Cabbage Patch! Thanks for sharing this recipe and your list of ingredients with us. Much appreciated! Happy cooking!

    Is this 12 tablespoons of flour? Just making sure I looked up how much 100 grams of flour would be and that's the answer I got. But I just saw you put about 2 tablespoons.

      You don't have to add the meat. But if you do want to place it, give sausage a try. Let me know how it goes. :)
