Diminutives in Spanish with Examples I How to say that a thing is small

In this new video to learn Spanish for free, we will learn the diminutives in Spanish.
Diminutives are a way of saying that something is small, for example, instead of saying it was "una plaza pequeña" you can say it was "una placita", which will help you improve your Spanish and speak like a native speaker.
This is the most common use of diminutives, but they are also used, to a lesser extent, to express affection, such as "iré a la fiesta con mi cariñito".
The most common form of the diminutive is by adding "ito" or "ita" to the end of the word (suffix), as we will see in the video.
But there are also other, less commonly used forms of diminutives, for example:
illo - illa
Another common use of the diminutive is to refer to or call small children, adding the "ito" or "ita" to the end of the name. We will also see examples of this usage in the video.

Creo que los diminutivos se usan mucho mas en America Latina que en Iberia.

Si, probablemente en America Latina se usen más, pero en España también se usan. Como "manitas de cerdo"
