You know a good respirator with replaceable filters only costs about $20. It’s cheaper then breathing in all that ash and getting sick for a day or potentially for a lifetime. Also since you don’t wear prescription glasses you could just get a full face respirator and protect your eyes to.

Hey Chris, you might want to install seatbelts in your older equipment. I was running a 977 like yours with a cab on it. I fell off in a hole I didn't see and busted my head open on the bar between the windshields. If it wasn't for that I would have been hugging the muffler out there on the hood trying to stop the machine. From that day forward I put the seatbelt on loosely and can feel it catching me a little every now and then. You are working out there by yourself man.. I am not the safety man, but I have learned the hard way and I am sure you have had many close calls yourself. ( I just saw one ) Nice work. Be safe.

When you had to pull yourself up a steep embankment and throw mats up above to get out, that was a sketchy situation but you were calm and cool brother! That’s why I know you’re the best operator I’ve ever seen! This job is going great from the first day I saw all those, looked like millions of stumps brother! Lol 😂 I figured it was going to take forever but the Big Boy D-6 is a “Hoss” , dang awesome buy brother! Thanks for sharing Chris, praying for you and your health throughout the winter months my friend! Stay safe 👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻👌🏻👌🏻🤙🏻🤙🏻🇺🇸🇺🇸🇺🇸

That was some smooth operating I think I would have opted for the makeshift t-shirt ninja mask for all the Smokey Dusty work there

Does betty push better than the d6? Betty is slow but not much will stop her..the d6 doesn’t seem to push tree down as easily as betty..love all of your videos..thank you sir..

For what I can remember Betty is on a d8 chassis so it’s got more weight and power.

Might be bigger... it also might have something to do with the loader and being able to lift as well to help get under the trees. 🤷‍♂️

you got up a 3 a.m.! Man when do you sleep? But the days are shorter now.
There seems to be a lot of forest in NC where the trees are very tightly growing. Why don't people thin them in NC?
    Good job!
I hope you are wearing a mask when it is dusty.
