I might be wrong but there is chance that she might felt uncomfortable with your dress. A dress ki unna work guchukunte or may if you have used a perfume that can make her really uncomfortable. Happened with my baby when i used perfume she used to cry a lot and especially with newborns as they identify moms with their body scent.

Some events with in home or closed family gives you little boost to dare .... But not with outside or external family members .... You can plan slowly once the baby crosses 6 months...
