Any problems with the reliability of the second batch.? Holding Back until it's as good as it's going to get, nice video and yes a lovely model... I have the Huina 580 V4 and love it, if this as good I will certainly get this s one...are the tracks proportional control ?...
No problems have risen their head yet, I have not been able to use it as much as i would have liked due to Life interrupting :-D but the only issue is the auto cut off if you over stress it... but as stated in my other comments wait a few seconds and it all works again.
hello mate how you doing i first time watch your video its Amazing and beautiful rc volvo excavator i have one like her electric version she good and strongest than huina But she have problem from the servo boom sometimes stuck with more work and digging that happen with me be4 5 days ago when i test her after 2 week she was unboxing actually i forget her l😂l But when the ram stuck i do restart from on off switch and the ram back to work normal look like DOUBLE HOBBY needs fix this problem immediatly some people turn it into Hydraulic Or there is one way put servo for huina excavator instead DOUBLL EE servo ram well thx for sharing this beautiful vid with us have a good day .. cheers yo 🍺
Hello EW, Thank you so much for your comments :-D , this version I have is second edition, I had to wait for the factory to address the problem with servo arm problems, they have apparently fixed it on the new versions, I have not experienced any issues yet, the only thing it does have is an overload protection system if the electronics see a servo motor pulling more power than they should they will shut down that motor for approximately 6 seconds, if you just wait it will start operating again after the cool down, this is a very clever way of protecting the arm from overload by a bad operator. Also it is good practice to get into the habit of not running the actuators to the very end of their travel as this will also overstress them. Apart from that i am very impressed with this beautiful machine, I have a Huina 580 2 edition that has been repaired electronics wise 3 times now but has finally died beyond repair by me, I am actually thinking of converting that to hydraulic as my outdoor machine, always worry about an oil leak on a hydraulic so these simulated electric servo versions are great for indoors during the winter months when it is too cold/wet/snowy to be outside having fun with a real hydraulic one! Hello Tom12146, I purchased this from FURYRC.com, yes it is completely made of metal apart from the glass and the fold out mirror, it is very heavy and since this video i have done about 8 battery recharges, so i can say this is working fine and the more you use it the better you get at operating the controls with finesse. I will do some more videos when time allows . All the best for the holiday everyone!
I'm looking to purchase one of these, and since you own both the huina 580, as well as this volvo ec160e.... Which one, in your opinion is the better machine? Any pros or cons would be greatly appreciated. Thank you again for a great video!
Hello G-Man, Thanks for watching, as a long term user of the Huina 580 I have a place in my heart for that little excavator but that been said the DE E160 (electric) is a fabulous machine, The more i use the Eagle the more I fall in love with it, It has a little looseness in the rotation of the cab but no where near as much as the 580 had, it does not have smoke which i loved on the huina and does not have a sound module. I have not missed that as the details on the Eagle are so much better than the 580. The Eagle is 1:14 whereas the 580 was 1:16 (in my opinion) so there is a size difference, I find the size and weight of the Eagle so much better and as to digging with it I feel that it is much better than the 580. So.... The Eagle has Landed in first place as the better machine :-D it is noisier than the 580 mechanical wise but it is bigger.
