My son is going to Japan for a holiday & I'm making a journal for him to take to record his experience... I'm painting a picture on each page leaving space for his writings... will definitely try this on one of them. Thanks Harriet.

I've only heard it pronounced how you did it, but then I've only heard it on CZcams from North Americans artists. I assume the pronunciation is different in the UK like aluminum and aluminium (which is also spelled differently in the UK).

Use indigo or charcoal black instead of paynes grey -I am a very senior hobby painter from Mumbai . You are indeed very talented!!
This is lovely, but probably too difficult for a first try Could you try all the landscape and a pretty bench where one might meditate. That is often seen in Japan.
