heard this song randomly on Spotify about a year ago and was amazed, like this is one of the most amazing songs I've ever heard. when I heard it in Sing 2, I geeked out a bit, but then.. then my daughter turns to me and says, this is my favorite part of the show (she's seen it a few times, I haven't) I immediately had that indescribable proud parent moment. almost brought me to tears.

mercilessv nowadays they tailor acts musicians and movies on things that worked in the past. i don't know if it's shear laziness or just the assumption that as for remakes in movies , to sort of remaking a bands vibe could guarantee it's success. most of the time it fails though. you cannot capture in imitating what was great about a movie or a band.

My 13 year old son put this on in the car. Normally his taste in music disagrees with me but this is fantastic!
He's learning. You should show him more of this. Start with some more or less current glam and punk rock before introducing him to the classics. I did that with my niece when she was 14, she'll be 17 this summer and she's a real rock chick now. Me and my sister couldn't be more proud.
I never had that issue with my kids. They always loved good bands and have expanded my taste in my music :) I even enjoy Rammstein now LOL We all are huge Ghost fans too. Maybe try listening to your son's music more than once?

The Struts are brilliant! I've recently been introduced to this "glam rock" styled band. I love the modern retro video as well as I do the music. With slight similarities to that of Freddie Mercury and also Alice Cooper, Luke Spiller possesses a tremendous voice for this song and, indeed, its entire Genre. The song, as a whole, is extremely catchy, free-spirited and cool. I love it!
Watch the movie "Velvet Goldmine" the end is kinda wonky but if you like glam rock, you'll love it.
I met them. They are wonderful young men. Luke called out my shirt and I felt like a giddy school child. I was 49 years old. Saw a teen outside the venue and he saw my swag bag. Told him how you're always told to never meet your heroes. Totally opposite with The Struts! Met them. Laughed. Love them even more.

I'd never heard of this band before 10 mins ago. I took an extremely odd route to find them. I closed my eyes and clicked a random movie on Netflix. I then looked up one of the actresses in the movie and saw that she was married to the bass player of this band. I looked at the influences of the band and realised I was a big fan of nearly every band listed so thought I'd give The Struts a go.

I can't begin to tell you how much I relate to this. I've always compared myself to my sister (we aren't twins tho; she's 2 years older than me). Either way, the fact that she graduated college, has traveled a lot, a car/license, and has more money than me always made me feel like a failure in comparison. Especially with how my dad and mom praised her throughout the years. I've always felt like life was a race. That I had to be at this certain point in life or that meant I'm too lazy or not striving enough. I realize now that for one, that's super unfair to myself. And two, we're both at different points in life; different people, more imporantly. I feel like I should give myself credit more for the things I have accomplished rather than dwelling on what I haven't yet. Once I was able to have deeper talks with her and develop a better relationship, I soon discovered what she was insecure and worried about, as well as the ways she admires me and relates to me. Just remember that your sister ain't perfect. I guarantee she doesn't always have it together.
And I'm not saying this to crap on your sis I'm just saying we're all human. lol this song has definitely made me feel like I should take it day by day, take more risks, and overall focus on my own personal journey rather than comparing /worrying about not being at a certain pace. Just fucking LIVE!!! :DD That's what this song screams out; and I know it's easier said than done, but I believe if my thoughts and feelings are changing about it (even though I still struggle with my old mentality often), I think yours can too!
