  • Head’s signature Ibanez KOMRAD was his go-to axe before switching to ESP in 2017. Head’s guitar approach is “melodic,” while he describes his guitar cohort Munky as a “mad scientist.”
    #thoNAMM20 audio quality is made possible with the support from Izotope and Sennheiser USA.

Korn was THE band to bring 7strings to the conversation. Sure, Vai, Neil Schon, Don Ross, etc were the first guys to really put it on record, but it was Korn that made everyone go out and get one!

      joshford60 was wondering the same thing! I’ve been going to Sweetwater‘s website & Ibanez’s website almost everyday to find out. I preordered the Apex 30 from Sweetwater; I didn’t think it was going to be $1499.00. I was thinking it would be in the $899.00 like the previous Apex 20. Makes me wonder how higher the K-7 Model will be now!

      Yes, Indonesian made guitars are actually well made. When the company that wants a guitar made and cares about the manufacturing process, craftsmanship, parts and so on, you can bet its gonna be a quality product!! Check out Ola Englund and his guitar company Solar, he has an array of models and with the low end (price wise) being around $700.00, it's pretty impressive the quality of his guitars! He manufactures his out of Indonesia as well!!

      Which one, he has a few. If it's the one which was covered in duck tape, it was retired back in 2013/14 because of it's value and had a few beatings over the years from touring - he used it at Woodstock '99, then dropped it on the stage at the end of the show - it had it's neck replaced a few times too.

    Beautiful guitars here, and the first with Evertune is so cool, *BUT*, part of the essence of KoRn is the weird sounds that they made with their Ibanezes, so they earn a truly stable tunning on their guitars, but at the same time they losses part of the coolness of Korn sound.

    • @Davier9999
      @Davier9999 Před 4 lety +1

      It's the U-bar, it is a whammy bar variation. It has been in all Munky's guitar until the apex30 (the main ones, not the cheapest ones).

      They were Red pups, he got the idea from a car (Ferrari) he'd seen and it had red brake calipers on it and the last APEX (200) was the third of his own signature models after the APEX1 and APEX100, so the APEX30 and K7 anniversary will be no four and five.

      First thing It's not drop A but A Standard, second I own a seven string and 010 would be just fine for a Drop A tuning. If you want to tune to A standard on a 25.5 scale then I'd go with 011
