I just love getting to witness your journey! I remember you both sitting at a patio table. I remember Bookshelf Dave. I was instantly drawn in. If I'm being completely honest, I didn't watch The Bachelor before I started watching your channel. One of your early videos landed on my feed and I laughed my head off! At that point, I figured I needed to watch the show so I knew who the people were. 🤷♀️🤣 Here we are, however many years later, and this amazing community has come together. It's just cool! Absolutely insane I found this video today! I had the courage to tell my husband my idea’s for 2024 and beyond vision I had for us, a CZcams channel idea, and he was all for it. After a year of being unemployed and unsure. I sat here needing a pep talk after he left for work, turned to CZcams to distract myself and somehow by fate found this video. This was what I needed to watch and hear to alleviate some of the anxiety of what next? And should I even? Thank you, wow! 2024, it’s time! Cheers!
I belong to one of the largest English speaking amateur musical companies in Western Europe. I’ve always worked backstage. I’ve toyed with the idea of directing a show. Well this spring I am directing Rent. It’s been scary but exciting. I’ve suffered from imposter syndrome and what if’s, but I keep pushing forward. So my goal is to successfully direct this production and to see my vision of this story come to fruition. ❤

Two weeks before our first son was born, we moved…just to a 2-bedroom apartment from a 2-bedroom house in the same city. I realized that he didn’t care if everything was “ready”. He just needed us to be happy he was there and to take care of him. He is now 46 years old and still a delight to the old mother’s heart. His younger brothers, 43 and 39 respectively, are pretty amazing, too.
Enjoy the process and don’t be afraid of the unknown. All the best to your sweet family. ❤

I just made the cross country move from Northern California to KY myself. We are still living with family and looking for a rental or to buy our first home too! Loving it in the south so far.
We are the family that just had our baby girl in August (I was 7 months pregnant during the road trip) but we lost her at 10 days old and you graciously shared the gogund me to help me bury our precious angel. Couldn't thank you enough for doing so.... you two have a huge space in my heart as I've been following and a patreon member for 3 years now and feel like you are friends!
Would love to someday meet up for dinner or come see a show to officially meet y'all bc we are 2 hours out of Nashville and just inside the KY border.

Dawn...this made me tear up. I too lost a child; however, my son Cameron was 25 when he got his wings. A friend shared this info. It gives me such peace to think that a part of Cameron is still inside me. Hopefully, it will give you peace too...to know your sweet baby girl is still inside you. PS What is your daughter's name?
When pregnant, the cells of the baby migrate into the mothers bloodstream and then circle back into the baby, it’s called “fetal-maternal microchimerism”.
For 41 weeks, the cells circulate and merge backwards and forwards, and after the baby is born, many of these cells stay in the mother’s body, leaving a permanent imprint in the mother’s tissues, bones, brain, and skin, and often stay there for decades. Every single child a mother has afterwards will leave a similar imprint on her body, too.

You remind me of myself early on. I was 8 mo. pregnant with my first (and only Son), and his father and I moved from Arizona to Colorado. I had two weeks to unpack, clean the house, put down contact paper, get the baby's room ready, and I made bathroom curtains too! I was two weeks late, so I had a month. I still don't know how we got it all done, but we were young.
You both have so much energy, enthusiasm, and drive, that you'll be moved in and ready for your baby in no time. Good luck with everything 💙

I really admire your philosophy on life and working for yourself! I grew up thinking the only way to be successful was to go to college and work for the man. So that’s what I did. Then I met my husband and he was the exact opposite and was so driven to build wealth for himself. I really admired that about him as it was unheard of to me. It’s a part of the reason I fell in love with him! He also started a CZcams channel and saw lots of growth and success with the pandemic! Cheers to you Dave and Tasha!

Dave don't underestimate what that baby will change in your wife. If all she does is feed her baby and love on your baby for the rest of 2024 that is a blessing beyond what you can even understand at this moment. Don't put any pressure on her to create or do anything else this year. She will be so sleep deprived and her body will take months and months to go back to a balance. Unless you all have help. Then I'm sure she can feel creative too. I'm a professional with two degrees and once I had my baby I only wanted to be a stay-at-home mom. I know I have a boy's name but don't bother me about that. So sometimes people go from being complete professionals to only wanting to nest, especially that first year

I found your channel because of the Katie Thurston/Greg Grippo drama. I subscribed and became a big fan because of your authenticity and how funny and entertaining you are. I loved Vlogmas and seeing more of Tasha and Boone too! You guys are so funny and adorable together. Tasha is such a gorgeous person - she seems to be radiating extra light right now somehow too! I recommend finding a local pregnancy yoga class - great for mother and baby - and great for meeting other expecting families nearby!
So happy for you, it has been extra cold. The Chiefs fans here in Kansas braved the cold last weekend at -4 with a wind chill of -25 so we honestly feel your pain. Awww, this was so great!! Thank you, Dave and Tasha! Truly a wonderful and encouraging conversation. Inspiring things I needed to hear. I've been working for myself the past few years in the bookish world: freelance copy editor and proofreader, and Bookstagrammer. It gets discouraging when I feel people don't see my posts or the algorithm doesn't choose to show it. I miss the days of when Instagram was about photography, because it fees like unless you're making reels all the time, things aren't gonna happen. I've been toying with the idea of starting a bookish CZcams channel with "Read with Me" videos, but have definitely been scared to start. In this regard, fear sort of just paralyzes me or makes me procrastinate at the very least-some kind of avoidance. Anyways, thanks for this talk! It was like talking to friends for me and I've saved this to my "favorites" to watch again and again when I need the encouragement. Good luck with the move!
