Thanks for posting this (and thanks for the wonderful performance!) - I was shopping this mic for precisely this use-case but before this video couldn't find a great resource to really showcase how well it worked. It sounded lovely, and the process is simple. Decision made!

Can you tell me how you set up the mic? I would like to know how you did the microphone settings in the app. It's really hard to find the right settings...For example, I'd like to know how you set things like 'mic gain', 'Stereo Width', 'compressor', and 'HPF'.

Hi Kim! You can tap Device on the navigation bar in the ShurePlus MOTIV app to access microphone settings.

@@shurecreators Thank you for answer. What I want to know is the setting value in the ShurePlus MOTIV app in the video above. For example, I'm curious about the 'mic gain' value or the 'stereo width' value in the application.

Beautiful (and very useful). A question - is it possible to record with the Shure MV88+ in Mid-Side/Raw mode with the mic attached to an iPhone 14 Pro which is recording video in HDR or Cinematic mode using the iPhone Camera app?

Thank you for the video and the beautiful performance! Could you please specify the settings you chose for the recording? I tried with the preset “acoustic” and it came out with reduced volume and dynamic. What were your settings for the gain, compress, etc? Thanks!

Hi there. For the MV88+ videos I leave it in "flat" mode. I didn't use any EQ or compression and my stereo field is 90 degrees. I don't remember my exact gain setting but I usually ask people to play a fortissimo passage and set the level so the peaks don't go higher than the -6 dB marker. Hope this helps!

Thank you for the wonderful video tutorial and the wonderful performance of the Haydn and Chopin! Could you please share the equipment brand of the Micro-B to Lightning cable extension, as well as the microphone long stand?
    Thanks very much!

You’re welcome! I used the 3m (10 ft) Micro-B to USB-C Cable that comes with the Shure MV88+ Stereo Kit. The microphone stand I used was a K&M medium-sized tripod microphone stand with a telescoping boom. I don’t remember the exact part number but there are a few different sizes to choose from. - Yuri

@@shurecreators thank you for your reply, Yuri! Could you please specify the brand of the 3m cable? Or perhaps link would be really very helpful! I don’t think my motiv 88+ comes with the long cable! Thank you very much!

Beautiful performance. May I ask if it’s directly recorded on an iphone/iPad with the help of the app? Very nice quality.

Hi! The microphone was plugged directly into one of the USB-C ports of my MacBook Pro laptop and recorded using a digital audio workstation. I did use the MOTIV app to control the gain and the stereo width on the MV88+, but you would get the same features and controls if you were using the app on the iPhone, and the sound quality would be the same! - Yuri
