Switched from Apple to OnePlus. I had an Android phone about 3 years and I didn't like it so I decided to try an iPhone and I went with it about 4 years but got bored of it and now I have OnePlus 6 and I feel like a kid in a candy store. I was sceptical moving from iOS to Oxygen because I loved how simple it was to use the iPhone but now this phone feels so good. It's not as simple as the iPhone but I love this. For it's price you get an amazing phone that in my opinion rivals iPhone X (of course iPhone X offers more but does it offer that much that you'd pay over $1000?) . I recommend giving a shot for OnePlus.

Until Android Lollipop was released, iPhones were still slightly better than Android phones in some areas, but since then iPhones have become more and more shit and Android has improved significantly. Apple have been ditching commonly used features, increasing prices while not increasing the quality or performance, adding pointless technology that no one will use to increase the price, and taking advantage of their dumb-ass, brainwashed customers who religiously buy only from Apple. The reason so many people still buy Apple products is because they still believe that iPhones are better than Android phones. 90% of people who currently prefer Apple will probably say they haven't used an Android phone for many years because they're awful. What those dumb asses don't realise is that Android has significantly improved, especially from 2014 onwards. Also, all the hyped-up iOS updates literally do nothing. They literally just remove old features and add some new pointless ones to slow your phone down even more. Also, they still give their phones low-resolution screens, huge bezels, and no fucking headphone jack. They also purposely make their phones unrepairable to smartphone repair companies or users themselves. Instead, you have to take your phone to Apple themselves to be suddenly be charged $500 for a cracked glass repair (Yes, they charge over $500 if you smash the rear glass on an iPhone X). Also, one of the primary excuses an Apple user will give you if you ask them to prove that Apple is better is "Because they are a trillion dollar company". Yes, they may be a trillion dollar company, but they are completely missing the point. Only Apple sell OSX devices... Only Apple sell iOS devices... But there are THOUSANDS of companies selling Android, Linux and Windows devices. If all of those Android, Linux or Windows based companies' profits were combined, Apple would look like an ant compared to them. If you have this mindset, think again, and don't try to prove others wrong.

Edit: Oh yeah, I also used to have an iPhone, but after switching to Android I'm never going back. My current phone is a Sony Xperia Z from February 2013. Yes, it's old and slow, but I'd still prefer it over an iPhone X.

I have 3t. My next mobile maybe Samsung or Apple. I'm a Samsung fan but, I'm using android phones from past 5 yrs. I love android, coz it's open. I may switch to ios coz never ever tried n really 80% of android phones r copying Apple. Even oneplus is also following the same track. They were teasing apple n google for no jack n now they r gonna do it. I may take samsung s9 after some price slash or Apple xr the 50k version.

It's better having a headphone that is not rechargeable every 3 hrs, and yeah i know it connects to the phone's battery, phones like OnePlus 6 still has very fast charging though. And i can get better audio quality connecting to the jack than having a headohone connected to a USB-C/Bluetooth.

Your warranty doesn't get void when you unlock your bootloader and install custom recoveries and ROM's (or root). I've never seen that in any smartphone company before!

I love my oneplus 6. For some of its features u normally need a different launcher, but oneplus can do without because they listen to the community. The screen's nice, the price, the useful screen capture feature, the dash charging, love it.
My only issue is the beauty effect on the back camera which I can't seem to disable even though I have disabled it. For the rest it's a great phone for its price.

Its modular and has a better battery life as well as having acer game zone, where u put more power and RAM into games while shutting off other applications including notifications unless labeled emergency or critical in settings

That flimsy case in the box actually saved me the day after I bought the phone. I dropped my phone face down on the concrete outside BUT the case that you get in the box has small levelers in each corner that prevented the screen from ever touching the ground and absolutely nothing was damaged.

Hi...you did provided the information we need about OnePlus 6 and no doubt abt it. But one thing that you could have compared OnePlus to an Android mobile I think that would have been justified more in comparison. Comparing iOS to android is not profitable. No, it’s because it’s not in your field of view, making you more susceptible to looking at your phone to find out wether you have a notification or not. Turn on your fucking ringer and stop rely a tiny unnoticeable dot. Like I said. If you’re not in the room, the only way to know you got a text is by looking at the top of your phone, to any one who has poor vision, it’s nearly useless. Of course, a sound can be easily heard by anyone who isn’t deaf.

As an 8yr iPhone user, I'm really considering getting a OnePlus6 or a Galaxy S9 as my first Android phone. The 3 main reasons are Headphone Jack, Fingerprint scanner, and Software features: like close all apps button, in-app camera settings, app lock, a full-on status bar...I have all these features on my current jailbroken iPhone 6 and therefore improving my user experience but on the newer iPhones they're all missing, so I don't see should buy the new one!
Coolest OnePlus 6 feature. Set an Alarm in the "Clock" app and then turn OFF your phone. Let's say you set the alarm for 6:00AM and you shut off your phone at 2:00AM so that it would charge faster. You fall asleep. The OnePlus 6 will TURN ITSELF ON at 6AM to run the ALARM to wake you. That's is so dang cool. This is not in SLEEP mode; this is in FULL OFF MODE. I have not tested it when not plugged into the DASH charger, but when plugged into the DASH charger while powered off, it will turn itself on to wake you up to give you even FASTER charging and you won't miss your alarm. That is freaking cool.

Tim I found out by accident. I was charging my OnePlus 6 while powered off and fell asleep. The darn thing turned on in the morning and woke me up. Could not believe it. Tested it. Confirmed.

@@maxvandijk2001 S8 gets the colors wrong in almost every photo. Purple becomes too light, yellow becomes too bright yellow, dark brown becomes weird sharp red. BTW get the GCam app (pixel's cam app ported for OP6), it produces amazing results, literally just as good as the Pixel itself, except that the app sometimes underexposes but hopefully the developers at xda will make it better.
Good video. I agree with pretty much all the points you mentioned EXCEPT for the camera. I don't think the iPhone X has a better camera. I'd say the OnePlus 6 camera is on par with the iPhone X and in some cases even better. The iPhone X camera is probably a bit more consistent in various lighting conditions, but the OP6 camera has much better performance in low light and better and more natural color reproduction. The iPhone X camera is still very good, no doubt about it, but it's NOT better than the one on the OnePlus 6.
Also, I disagree the iPhone X has a better display. That is on paper only. The OnePlus 6 has a brilliant display and a several customisation modes to suit your liking and preference. The iPhone X has a very good display and it's well calibrated but except for the so-called true tone mode you have to stick to what's been set up for you by the manufacturer.

Not a fan of their browser, at all. Having said that, their Android interface looks great! I never really looked into this but can you use themes on it like what a jailbreak does on iOS?

I went for the LG G7 over the one Plus 6. It cost $550 brand new. Sure that's $50 more than the One Plus 6, but the extra features the G7 has easily justifys the extra cost.

The iphone x would be a great phone if it costed 600-700$ but 1000$ is way to much for a phone that has 3GB OF RAM. For 1000$ you shoud get 8 witch other phones have for half the price
Mateo Penezic I prefer iOS over android. So to answer your question. Yes. The iPhone has less ram, but since the os is so well optimized the phone runs smooth and fast. I remember the iPhone 5s with only 1gb of ram ran circles around an Android phone that had 4gb of ram.

The iPhone only ever beats it in benchmarks, while in real world tests, the OP6 wins.
And as for physical hardware, both phones have front and back glass, and a metal frame.
As for software, that's always a personal preference thing. The OP6 is as close to a vanilla Android experience as you can get to the pixel series.

Tbh wireless charging at the moment is useless because most of the electricity that is passed from the mains into the charging block just gets put back into the air. So say every 50 watts that's taken out of the mains only 5 of it is put back in

Did you list software updates as a positive thing for the iPhone? Aren't there like thousands of complaints that newer software purposefully makes old iPhones slower? And on my OnePlus3T I get updates up to this very day with almost pure Android as well.

I bought one plus six red 8GB variant together with one plus V2 headphones yesterday at the cost of 41198 Indian rupees that's 600 USdollars. iphone in my country costs 1100-1200 USD.

The one major problem with the OnePlus 6 is that it may not work in the United States depending on your phone carrier. You have to be very careful when you buy any Asian smartphone, because the phone may not work with your carrier. I purchased the OnePlus 6 and loved it. However, my particular phone was faulty. OnePlus could not get it to send text messages and, at the time, the phone’s Android skin did not support group text messaging which sucked much ass. I am not an Apple sheep, but I have found few Asian phones that completely work on Cricket Wireless. You also need to keep in mind that most Asian phones run their version of Android as a skin.
But its Android, so you can just install your favorite version of android
I might consider the one plus 6 because of dual sim 6-8 gb options. That is much better than what carrier phones are giving. It also has it's own oxygen operating system and not the bloatware that comes with samsungs.
My ZTE Axon 7 has a considerable number of the same features as the One Plus 6 functions that you've mentioned (file manager, default apps, split screen, fingerprint reading, headphone jack, led bulb notifications, dual SIM, etc) even though the Axon 7 is two years old now -- isn't it just an Android vrs. Apple thing then?
I switched from iOS to Android by buying One Plus 6 and my phone using experience has completely reached a new level!
Strange that out of all the 50 reasons for both the phones combined, Blackberry 10 devices had more than half of these in 2013 but still got such bad rap
