- DIY Mini Cactus Gardens for indoors or outdoors. Cactus and succulents are slow growing and great for adding a splash of greenery to small spaces, windowsills, coffee tables, on a desk or bookshelf. Light requirements can vary depending on the species you choose and the climate you live in, but most will thrive in bright indirect light, filtered sun or morning sun. Other species may require full sun. Cactus and succulents thrive in dry conditions, the fastest way to kill a cactus or any other succulent is by over-watering. So better to error on the dry side... When in doubt, skip watering. Going on a trip? Or forgetful when it comes to caring for plants? No worries... Cactus and succulents do just fine with neglect too.

Don't bash on other people. Just because they aren't her 'original' ideas doesn't mean that these individual videos weren't her ideas. It's not like she's stealing videos from other people. She's doing her own thing. You're ruining the karma of this video by being so negative. Please stop.
Both little gardens are so beautiful!
These will be great Christmas gifts. 😃❤️
i'm in love with the white one ... so going to reproduce that one ... thanks for that great idea Christine 🤗
Christine, I'm a new subscriber and lately I've been wanting to bring more plants into my home. You have given me so much inspiration. Thank you so much! Your videos are awesome.
I've been living under the rock! How could I take so long to find you?! But thank God I found you! And now I'll stick around forever!!! 😍
this is so awesome, cute little tiny cactus garden..
I really love how much care and effort you put into all of your videos, especially your plant related ones. There's so much love for what you do. So many people just churn out videos for views so it's really nice to see someone with a real passion for what they're doing.
Ahhhhh!!!! Love these Christine!!!!
I love your little cactus garden and succulent how-to's! I'm moving to southern LA next month and these are the perfect plants for the drought. Thanks for such cute ideas!
I love making cacti gardens!🌵🌵
Looks nice, good tip on using mesh or a coffee filter at the bottom. I use gravel at the bottom for drainage. If you plan on drilling more pots, you can get a drill bit that is made just for drilling ceramic.
Wow this is so inspiring and beautiful! Thank you for sharing Christine :)
You make a wonderful teacher! Love, Lisa
Love your plant videos !! Also the Star Wars shirt is everything haha!!!
Why do I love little cactus's all of a sudden? 🌵

I've just become interested in a succulent garden and this is a great tutorial. I love the aquarium pebbles which really complement the container. Thanks so much.
I have old succulents but I really hated them! Now I am so inspired to make them over in new pots with new soil, thank you so much! I really love seeing you gardening, you seem so relaxed it calms me just by watching!
I love both looks. thx for such clear detailed instructions 😀
Really beautiful Christine! I also love that you _always_ have some kind of a finishing touch with what ever you create! It's like you never just make something and leave it there; you always take an extra step :) Have a nice day! And as always, greetings to Michael!
Just a suggestion, maybe you can use a 2-liter soda bottles to plant your cacti. In that way, people & pets would not ACCIDENTALLY be pricked by cacti.
There are some ways to do it.
#1) Cut the bottle in half (horizontally) and put a hole in the bottom (like a pot) and plant it the normal way. Then put the upper half of the bottle on the plant (like a dome). Put some holes so air would flow in/out the domed plant. Just removed the dome when watering the plant.
#2) Cut the bottle horizontally (near the top), invert and insert the bottle's top part into the bottle's bottom part, just like the usual self-watering soda bottle and put the cactus in (the usual transplanting method). Only the top is open, and you don't need to water it often since it is self-watering.
I love it !! Please make more of this type ..
Love this so much, I have watched over and over ..... I nailed using a drill for the first time today thanks to your guidance. Thanks Christine

You are the goddess of mini cactus and gardening. I remember when I was little up to 8yrs old, my family and I were living on the first floor and my mom had so many mini cactus. Once the upper floor was constructed, we moved up there and I don't know what my mom had done with those mini cactus because I never saw them again. It makes me quite sad after watching all your mini cactus & succulents videos. But I have a cactus (it forms part of the cactus family , don't know which one) on my rooftop actually and has a flower which will bloom in some time, but for one night only.
