So good to see you making regular content, it's so warm and comfortable in every aspect even the making. The soft color grading, the cute edits and little animations, the fact you're writing your own soundtrack. Wonderfully cozy.
Glad you are enjoying the whole package. Lots of thought going into it all, and I'm really enjoying being able to vibe on the piano again.
When I lived in the Netherlands, I learned about a word - Gezellig. Meaning cozy/warm/wholesome/enjoyable, it's an untranslatable concept. This video is definitely gezellig.
@@Elpis95 Ja inderdaad, super gezellig! :)
@@KingKogi Martina, could you do food tour around Canadian cities?
@@nntflow7058 shes now moved back in Japan so I have a feeling it might not be possible right now 🤭
Honestly after watching this I feel like my whole mood changed and I feel like I can conquer the day today(✿╹◡╹) ♡ I needed this!
Heck yes you can! The mental battle is a HUGE part of winning the day! You got this.
@@KingKogi 🥲💕 you’re the best Martina!
Seeing this type of content always makes me smile. 🥺🥺
It’s Reminiscent of what lead me to “her” channel in the first place. ❤️🙌
MARTINA WE LOVE EVERYTHING THAT YOU ARE DOING RIGHT NOW! This channel is one I think your fans have always wanted. You are a joy. Any midnight munchies coming soon? I still make your black bean brownies to this day.
I agree so hard!! I used to rewatch videos all the time, I'm so glad I've got these new videos I can comfort watch now lol.
I LOVE that black bean brownie recipe!!
It's always so comforting and confidence boosting seeing creators dealing with chronic pain and showing that it's possible to find where your limits are to adventure, without making life feel stale or claustrophobic. Thank you for showing your path to get to difficult places while keeping your body in consideration!! 💞
I would've bought the little measuring cup, too. Can't resist the tiny cuteness.
It would be a lifelong regrat to NOT buy it.
i'm team cute but i was also internally shouting "get it! some day you'll need to measure a tiny amount and regret not buying the cute thing!" so i'm also team practical. you can be both. :D
I was just thinking that "damn I wish there would be some new Martina content" and there it was. Thank you for creating, it helps us others to dream🌟
I know! I had the same thought
I love this type of content. Simple, everyday "adventures". Not every day has to be a party. It's calm and we can see a side of japan that is not very often advertised. This video greatly reminded of my trip in Japan back in 2018. It gave me the same feeling that I had those 10 days in Kyoto and Tokyo. Japan is such an unique and beautiful country with rich history and intense culture. I really want to revisit Japan.
I went in 2019 and I can second this feeling, it helps me calm down. I miss Japan so much and I hope you get to revisit sometime!
My autoimmune disease has been really hard on me lately. I had a really really tough day yesterday and spent the night crying. Today I woke up up still upset and anxiety ridden. This video helped me calm down and reminded me to never give up and continue to build my ladder. Today will be full of cozy self care and getting back on track with climbing up my ladder. Thank you Martina you have no clue how much your videos help! Sending you lots of love and support!
🍀
@@LittleMissTotoro thank you for your comment! It makes me feel less alone 🥺 it gets hard but we got this!!
Put my out of office on for Christmas and then instantly got a king kogi notification, THE STARS HAVE ALIGNED!🌠
This video is like coming home after a long day, lighting a candle, making some soup, and getting cozy. I love it.
so accurate! 💕
Martina, I just stumbled on these vlogs and I'm thrilled! Please keep making them because they're so fun to watch
Oh, well hello Joss, and welcome aboard King Kogi's Airship. We have room for all, feel free to lounge on the passenger deck. I'll be bringing round refreshments soon, both alcoholic and nonalcoholic beverages are available, Crushed Starberry Tonic and Drambleberry Sparkle Soda~
Oh, Martina. This honestly reminds me of the way your videos used to make me feel. It's a lovely, calm escape for just a few moments, and I am so happy you're back to filming again. Thank you for everything you do for us.
The sexy tsukemen shots were almost too much for me to bear. Kogi's voice near the end is sooo cute, I love it.
YES, YES, YES! I've been soaking up all the Martina content I can get, but THIS, this exploration of a beautiful, autumn day in Tokyo? It's just everything I could have wanted to start off my Friday. The warms, the fuzzies, the adventure. Can't explain how much joy it brings me.
And can't forget, THE BEAUTIFUL EDITING!
You make Japan adventures seem quite possible for those of us who have not traveled there before. Just getting around would be anxiety generating, but you make it seem a matter of common sense. I really enjoy your intimate sharing.
I just moved to a new city by myself, in the spirit of KK I've been trying to give myself little "quests" so I don't feel so lonely. Todays quest is buy a new plant for my apartment and tomorrow's is check out a local museum and a bucket list restaurant near it. Thanks for the inspiration 💕
that piece at the end was so heartbreakingly serene. I hope you publish an album at some point because your music literally turns me into a gooey blob of stress-free happiness.
It's always so wonderful to see a new video from you; thank you for all the hard work you put into your video's. They are worth every second.
Watched this to keep calm while I had my blood drawn for autoimmune testing. I have a big fear of hospitals after a bad experience of getting blood taken when I was in high school. Now I’m in my 20s in chronic pain and still awaiting my diagnosis. Thank you for making calming genuine content Martina! You really have been helping me through the health issues I’ve been dealing with!❤️🥰
I just adore you Miss Martina, your bright personality just makes my day better. 😊
the one thing I miss most after having to quit gluten due to allergies is Ramen. I'm so happy I get to still share the experiance with videos like this
@Samantha Teather If you can find Black rice ramen noodles, it has a chew close to wheat noodles. They're easy to find online in USA.
I have a friend that just discovered last year that she is also allergic to gluten, and she wants to come to Japan someday, so she asks me sometimes how is it like with gluten free stuff here. I can say that compared to Europe, there isn't that much stuff available yet in supermarkets, for example, but it is increasing for sure. Also in bigger cities you can find more gluten free stores and restaurants. ^^
I love the king kogi music... especially this soundtrack for this adventure. I'm so happy to see you making regular content.
Honestly Martina, you'd be the first person I'd think of to go on an adventure with in Japan.
Japan is the most photogenic place ever! LOVE JAPAN.
Having to live vicariously through everyone online since Japan keeps closing the borders to students and making it difficult for us to get in to actually study. Your videos definitely are the most relaxing. Thank you for what you do. Helps me look at things in a better mindset and build my own ladder.
Woah, so many cool little touches in the music, edits, little icons floating about, and your smooth transitions added to this video. You really make everything feel like a fun adventure.
I love the style that you are developing - chill, relaxing with suuuper good vibes. I also appreciate that you give accessibility tips - I recently broke my ankle and have been navigating that whole situation, and definitely am more appreciative of those details. I needed this to start the day the right way - thank you so much.
I can't even begin to describe how happy seeing your videos makes me. I've struggled with health issues since I was 11 and I'm now 30. You're an inspiration to many people, including me. Thank you for being part of our lives Martina. I can't wait to see the next chapter.
This video really made me realize that Martina was and is the extremely talented content creator. 👏 I'm so happy to see this type of content return 😃
This is such a comfort channel for me, I love Martina's energy. Thank you for brightening my day!
I used to think I like Eat Your Kimchi's video.... now I know I LOVE King Kogi's video! Keep making these.... PLEASE!
I also have EDS and having rough day since I pushed myself too hard phyiscally at work yesterday and now I am hurting in a few differenet areas. Watching your videos make me happy and so hungry, but they are very calming like I am hanging out with a friend.
Sending much Love Martina. Autoimmune sufferer here. The struggle is daily but we can never stop building a ladder.
We got this 💪🏻 rough day for me yesterday (I went to the hair salon and sitting for that long is deadly painful) but building ladders to stay positive and move forward! Let’s give ourselves the best lives we possibly can 🔨
There is a game coming out next year called Nihongo Quest that is supposed to help teach you Hiragina, Katakana, and all the way to N5 level Japanese while playing adventure style game. Kind of looks like old fashion pokemon style game to me and I love it. I am using that to help learn a tiny bit of Japanese before I go to Japan hopefully next September.
I ❤️ the return of the food adventures! Question: have you noticed the foods in Japan are easier on your symptoms overall? My arthritis is triggered pretty aggressively by American wheat but I didn't have any issues with Japanese wheat or dairy while we were there. I think our trip was the first time I had felt fully nourished in a long time. I know Japan processes and grows their produce differently than the US and my nutritionist thinks my body just responds to their methods better.
Have you noticed anything similar? aside from everything being delicious 😋
This community makes me so happy.
I love the vibe of the King kobi videos. It's got this understanding tone, I don't know how to describe it but I appreciate it
Oh my god, hearing you talk about Lifts. I relised how most travel vlogger I watch never mention accessibility. Like wow that is such good information
I built my ladder today by finally getting a U-shaped cushion, which is currently holding my shoulderblades in place! Every little thing counts when you have EDS 🦓😊
Your videos are some of the rungs on my ladder Martina. Thank you, from the bottom of my heart.
QUEST COMPLETE! Absolutely beautiful Martina. I absolutely love how you find the beauty in the simple things. You’ve always been this way and we love it. Love Kogi and the ladder at the end. Gave me chills.
This was a huge win, girl. We love you very much. 💖
I'm super glad to see you back in Japan😊nice soothing, chill content and super zen music😌👌
Yay, the food videos are back! Can't wait to see where else we go on the King Kogi Airship!
I wish We had those tags here in the US so people knew I wasn’t being lazy - sigh. It makes invisible illness more visible. I love that!
I’ve loved your content for years, and even today I still love it! I love how you describe food, culture, languages, etc etc, it’s such a lovely way to learn and get an idea and I just love when people talk about food!
You’re def on my notifications and it’s 100% worth it!
I love the beauty of Japan. I visited on business many times. I enjoy your quests. Please don’t be depressed. We love you.
I love watching you do normal activities around Japan. It makes me take a moment to appreciate the small things in my life that make it magical. Thank you Martina!
I decided to move to Korea after watching your videos about 5 years ago. I have lived in Korea about 4 years now. Thanks for continuing to inspire!
Just got home from work and I have a pounding headache. I heated up some chicken soup dumplings and ate along with you while you enjoyed your soba - it felt like eating quietly with a friend. Thanks for sharing this adventure and providing some comfort after a loooooong week! 💖
seeing her happy makes me happy
It's so dark, and grey, and cold here, so most of the time I'd rather stay in bed, but after watching this I actually feel motivated to do something. Thank you Martina! 💕✨
It's so wonderful to hear you thriving
It makes me soooo happy to see this type of content again. Truly brings me joy to see Martina living her best life no matter what obstacles in her life. So inspiring. ❤️
I really really dug the vibe of this video. The focus on exploring in the context of someone with disabilities was really refreshing and the whole tone was chill but excited to explore. I love the new format and focus a whole lot!
Just when I think I couldn't be *MORE* obsessed with you + your content, you go and do this! 🤩 So gorgeous! Your editing inspired me to start learning video creation myself so thank you! Your work is such a gift, Martina. Now excuse me while I go smash some noods! 🍜 This video made me HONGRY. 🙏
Oh I have perfect timing! I just made myself some ramen for lunch and open CZcams to a new video! Yay!
Love the bookstores in Tokyo. Some of them also have small integrated cafés, which is one of my favourite places to have a coffee when I’m in Japan. There is just something really relaxing about sitting between shelves and shelves of books with a nice cup of coffee.
Really hope we can travel again soon. I miss Tokyo…
listing everything martina visits so i can visit them one day when everything is open again... so good to see you out and about martina! you have no idea how your content always made my day better 💕
I love hearing how you learn Japanese because of food it is easier to learn a language when it something you love even if you not good at it. It's a great inspiration that i hope I can use one day
Found this video on a day that I am not feeling the best inside and it has just filled me with so much peace. Loving this new King Kogi channel and can't wait to see more adventures from you and Kogi, Martina!
Thank you! I know filming and editing and posting is a lot of work, but we truly appreciate you!!!
I am absolutely loving these food adventure videos, it feels like going out with a friend to try new amazing eats. The peaceful scenery is so lovely, it has been a stressful week and this was exactly what I needed. Thank you for making a happy place for all of us Martina, you make it so much easier to build our ladders on hard days.
Martina finally living the dream the way she wants. I love it 🥺🥺🥺😍😍
Okay I just realized the vibe of your videos now is like I'm playing an indie game for leisure. The music, sound effects, videography - it's all just so 😙🤌💖✨ Thanks Martina for continuing to share your adventures with us💖
Thank you so much for this Martina. Even though travelling still isn't an option for me, it's exciting to see videos and plan my future trip to Japan.
I love tiny adventures like this! So easy to watch and it feels like we are there and you showing us around.
You have such a recognizable chanel style! The KAWAII is something I really enjoy!
Martina , you are one amazing woman. As a fellow painperson I know how hard it is to build that ladder and you are banging it. I wish I could build it like you do. Sadly I am very sensitive to histamine and gluten, so food is not the way for me to build my ladder. For me it is mostly my dog and crafting. Still it helps me to see how others cope with the tiredness, pain and moodswings/ depression. You are a great inspiration. Thanx girl you rock. Oh and edit: that music iss awesome
Martina I love your current content, it feels more grown up and real. I’ve been looking for good vibes calming content and I think this is it!
Dearest Martina, I adore your content! Thanks to you I feel like I'm having a friend during the days when I actually have noone. Can't wait for the next video! Also I have a humble request - if you feel like making a livestream with us while eating, drinking, talking about everything in the world, that would be so wonderful for those like me who will probably spend all holidays alone. All the best to you and lots of love!
I’m a simple girl. I see our royal highness king kogi having new content, I board the ship and enjoy it.
So glad to see you are settling in well back in Japan Martina :)
Ah, I finally finished work so I can enjoy this properly. 👑🐷
Just wanted to pop in here to say thank you so much for your videos and all that you do! I started watching years ago because I also love food and exploring/traveling and learning about different languages and cultures and I'm happy that I can continue to support even today! I'm also unbelievably grateful that you share about having EDS and things to help-- because of that awareness I was eventually able to find out that my struggles were because I have EDS too (and POTS etc.) but I wasn't immediately discouraged because I knew that now that I have identified the cause I can take steps give myself a break mentally and physically when I'm not doing 100%. I definitely went back and watched all the videos on mobility aids etc. for advice haha, but I love that you incorporate the ways you're taking care of yourself and your health into your videos because it's important for you. It's also been a huge help to convince myself to do the same (things as simple as finding a seat when waiting or on the train or taking a less taxing route instead of toughing it like I did before lol). So ya! Thanks so much and hope you have a good rest of your weekend!!
Love seeing you build ladders and enjoy the positive moments in life! 😌
The vibe you created with the visuals and music together is so highly appreciated 😊 I love your style so much. It makes me smile.
Your videos make me very happy Martina, thank you.
I'm always so amazed about how clean Japan streets look, I live un London(UK) and when I go on a walk everything is so dirty, I would love to live in a clean city with more self-aware and respectful citizens, also you see so many drug addicts and drugs on the floor in my neighborhood, and it's not even consider a bad one.
I really love and appreciate these sorts of videos. I recently had knee surgery, so it’s been a struggle to build my ladder. So, through these videos it truly feels as though I’m there with you and experiencing these sites. I wish you all the best and hope you know that you have a lot of people rooting for you.
Thank you for posting another vlog. Im having a bad pain day and bad brain day and watching this just has made me feel better and peaceful. So thank you for this. I appreciate the effort that you put into all of your content.
Thank you for another King Kogi Quest! Hope you are doing well in Tokyo, Martina!!
I'm loving the vibe and feeling of this video. It feels curious and comforting.
Keep keeping it cool in The King Kogi kingdom!
COO COO~ Keeping it COOL~
I always come back to rewatch your videos when I have the days where I need to build a ladder. Thanks for being a safe space for me and I’m sure many others
I’ve never been this early!! So excited for this video!! Been loving your new content Martina it’s amazing to see you so happy in Japan and I’m obsessed with your music!! It’s so calming and nice ☺️💕
I love wandering around vlogs. They are so refreshing to watch and its great to see you enjoying yourself.
I’m so glad you’re back in Japan and making content. Nostalgia with a mix of your own creative growth over the years! Educational and fun!~
I have missed these videos. Day = brightened.
I’m having a rough week in work, and lately feeling super tired, but just watching your content makes me happy and feel relaxed! I’m so happy you are working everyday harder and doing stuff you love!
Thank you Martina!
That Kogi building a ladder nearly killed me! Soooo cute! Id LOVE thaton a tshirt or a mug!
Thank you for all the helpful hints on accessibility at Daikanyama! So helpful. I visited Tokyo in 2018 and although I can walk okay, stairs are extremely difficult for me and going down stairs even worse. What I learned though is, it may take time to figure it out, but there is almost always an elevator option. In more commercial areas they may even be inside buildings. But if you need them, don’t take the first set of stairs you see when you get off a train. Keep going and you will find the elevator or maybe escalator.
Im going to try and add some accessibility hints in each quest, glad it was helpful. I’m the opposite, going up stairs is KILLER for me, and I’m better at going down at a slow pace. Yes you’re totally right, in Tokyo there tends to be an elevator SOMEWHERE but sometimes it’s quite far on one side of the station. But on a bad day I’d rather hunt it down then struggle crawl up the stairs 😂
I am just absolutely in love with every aspect of your videos, Martina. They feel so warm, cozy, and comforting. No matter the mood I'm in, even if it's not the best, or if I've had an awful day, seeing you enjoying even the simple things in life is so inspiring and brings me peace of mind and confidence to just take a breather and build a ladder with you. I hope you know just how much happiness radiates within your viewers, stemmed from your being. 🤍
KozyKogi 🐷 I love watching your vlogs Martina. Just so pretty and calming. I’m laid in my bed with an electric wax warmer on and omg so cozy. Glad your therapy went well 🥰
Thank you for making my lunch so much better! The relaxing vibes were just what I need right now, I have a job interview in one hour.
I'm so happy to see you enjoying life in Japan!
Anyone else gave this a like as soon as King Kogi Radio started? Good vibes got all the way to Spain!
I started this video with not enough coffee and definitely thought the soba advice was a continuation of learning your limits on what you can carry...I was like "This is an interesting metaphor but I'm kind of confused???" 😅Amazing editing as always though :) I love watching these. They give me good vibes for my own difficult, dark days. Happy questing, Martina!
Snowy SW Ontario and Martina? Yes, please and thank you!
Loving all the info especially as someone with small mobility issues who wants to go to Japan
Yes I'm loving that too! that's one of my major worries when I'm traveling
I greatly appreciate your energy and sense of humor ❤️ Thank you Martina, take care
Another pin on my google maps hahaha I know the soba yu. mixed with the broth it's fine but some places serve it as a drink and I don't like that.
Thanks for another great adventure (and king kogi radio). Bit homesick for Tokyo even though I've never been to Daikanyama but still enjoyed watching it so much. Looking forward to the next quest 💖🌟
I have that tine measuring cup and next time I'm getting some spares. I use it more often then I imagined. So if you love cooking it is a great thing to have in your kitchen, way easier to measure multiple spoonfuls of ingredients.
I have the same with Japanese; even though I studied Japanese culture and history in university (and took Japanese language as a extra class) and i can have small conversations my reading is teh best in recipes and such. Especially since my EDS got worse I translate and make Japanese cooking recipes in English. But I have always like the dual language books. They have some novels that way and that helps in learning other kanji and language. Now I'm trying (and miserably failing) to read tonari no totoro in Japanese.
After a long day of building a ladder, went grocery shopping , cleaning my room ect this is exactly what I needed! Stuck a cozy vibe. I think I might take a nap and just enjoy the cozy vibe and enjoy the rain that's falling outside.
What a lovely vibe to start the weekend and go on our own quests!
