You are one of only three pianists--and I have loved this piece for 65 years--who has literally with your exquisitely sensitive and knowing interpretation made me feel quietly and profoundly consoled enough to involuntarily weep deeply and long, and bit by tiny bit to gradually face a loss that I still cannot bear to face. Your playing is very "patient," and from the beginning to the end, you don't do anything to interrupt the (therapeutic) "trance" that I've always sensed Gluck intended as a gift for those in anguish. I witnessed Kantorow win the International Tchaikovsky competition in June 2019 when I worked in Moscow. He has gone from strength to strength. A unique, thoughtful and spiritual performer.
