You can sorta tell when Cher doesn't particularly care for whoever is interviewing her. Her voice gets very soft, and she seems almost sullen. She was like this in the Donhue interview from the late 80s.
Actually I thought Phil Donahue was nervous and uncomfortable in his interview with Cher. Additionally, you could tell there was a social disconnect between Cher and Phil.
Micheal Aspel was a decent interviewer,but was too polite to get a gritty chat with someone as open and down to earth as the wonderful Cher!Need to see her with James Corden:)
