    ===============ANNOUNCEMENT===============
    The clips shown here was filmed before the CAS (Crime Alert Signage) by Changi NPC was put up. This video is purely for entertainment purposes only, and all the fish I caught were released (except the Bullseye).
    To my Singaporean angler kakis, apologies if you think my content has substantially contributed to wiping out this place, but I do believe it was a community responsibility. It was going to happen one way or another. The workers at that area can always bring up to their supervisors that there are too many anglers (disrupting their work, etc), and that PCG can also spot anglers congregating at those spots. I am not very frequent in this spot, but there was a time I went over and seen at least 12 people fishing the canal mouth. It was highly demotivating so I went home early after seeing the large number of anglers.
    ===========================================
    The Northeast Monsoon typically spans from November to March in Singapore, ushering in alterations in weather patterns characterized by heightened rainfall and northeast winds. These changes foster suitable conditions for various marine species, including the Large Trevallies.
    Also known as Giant Trevallies or Caranx ignobilis, Large Trevallies hold the position of apex predators within marine ecosystems. Their migratory nature often aligns with ocean currents and shifts in temperature. During the Northeast Monsoon in Singapore, escalated rainfall leads to land runoff, carrying nutrients into coastal waters. This nutrient influx stimulates marine productivity, resulting in an upsurge of prey species such as small fish, crustaceans, and squid.
    Moreover, the robust winds associated with the Northeast Monsoon prompt upwelling along coastlines, bringing nutrient-rich cold water from deeper ocean layers to the surface. This phenomenon further enriches the marine ecosystem's productivity, providing abundant food resources for Large Trevallies. Consequently, their presence in Singaporean waters intensifies during the Northeast Monsoon season.
    It's pertinent to acknowledge that while the Northeast Monsoon creates conducive environments for Large Trevallies, their presence in Singaporean waters may also be influenced by other factors such as migration patterns, reproductive behavior, and the availability of suitable habitats.

    wow. where is this spot? and is there a diff between using the small metal jig and ajing?

    • @sadfool
      @sadfool  Před 5 měsíci

      Yes, metal jig sinks faster and flutters as it fall. Ajing tend to sink slower and doesn’t flutter like a jig. If no takes on jig, can try Carolina
