- Royal Air Force Puma helicopter at North Weald.
Aerospatiale SA330E Puma XW224.
Look out for the Tiger stripes paint job that celebrates 230 Squadron as a Tiger Squadron plus the RAF 100 logos.
Also, don't miss the Huey making an appearance.

The memories just came flooding back.
Just see that #Swashplate !!@ wat a Boytjie !!!
Excellent! Great film unspoilt by music or poor editing. I was lucky enough to fly in a 230 Squadron Puma a few years ago. It was awesome! Really enjoyed seeing this.
Landing of this shit :))) czcams.com/video/YDdbznlcGIU/video.html
I remember the 'Flying Tigers' , they were at RAF Aldergrove, Belfast in the '70's. In fact there is a good video on here/CZcams of a 70's film of them . Brilliant taxis for we in the Army back then too.
Loved these along with the Chinook Wessex and Gazelle we lived in the flightpath between Aldergrove and Limavady. Forgot about the Puma
My late Alarm Clock at RAF Aldergrove! Still give me a headache.
@@zxgeorger Wish I had a Fiver for every time I flew in and out of Aldergrove 👍
9:33 awesome, puma helicopter take off.
Brilliant video an cracking capture there, love how you captured the whole start up and take off, 👍🇬🇧
What a beaut!!
Saw xw215 at manston 1991 ditched about 30minutes later glad crew ok
😁👍👍👍👍
What is that lead the guy on the ground is holding ? Does that allow him to talk to the pilot ?
Yes it is.
Ground crews and aircrew use it to communicate with one another.
Aren't you supposed to close the doors while it's airborne ?
Not unless it is raining hard or very cold! 👍
It's the crewman's job to be on the lookout for any hazards and it's much easier to do this with the doors open. He checks that it's 'Clear above and behind' before takeoff. He also acts as a weight, a chock and to carry the pilots' bags 😊.
puma helicopter.... lets put a tiger on the front......
these were used to throw off terrorists in chile
Lmb swsrtkoo ?!
It's a South African helicopter
No? It's a british french manufactureed helicopter
@@pelto7706 Some of the Pumas saw service in the SAAF during the Border War.
@@Brecconable yes but in this case it's a british one not a SAAF one
@@Brecconable the SAAF Pumas were different variants (initially SA330C) to the RAF aircraft.
To give the South Africans credit, they designed the sand filters in front of the engines.
Great Video , Lovely Helicopter! Any Chance of a Sub
Nice machine, I could doo with some photographs of her in case you have any?
