Even though the film was released in 2013, it still carries a relevant concept that resonates with today's society. It effectively portrays different aspects of our society through concise dialogues. The film emphasizes the importance of women finding their voices and speaking up against problems instead of remaining silent. It's a powerful message!!!

This is probably a mellower version of the society today.
I am scared for my sister, my best friend, even my mother at times. And THIS is an absolute shame.
    And the blame goes to:
    1. Part Bollywood.
    2. Part our women oppressive culture.
    3. Part me.
    4. And part you.
    I’m so sorry.

Wow this is a very relatable movie. Having lived in India, like almost every Indian girl I have gone through eve teasing and molestation. When you are a child you dont understand these things but once they start happening to you there is more understanding of this issue. First time when I was molested on the street near my home I was almost frozen and could not run although I wanted to run away. My legs were shivering and I could hardly walk. As time passed by, these things became more common. But one day I just had enough and did not want to take it anymore and the day came when I took things in my hand. I joined a self defence course like these girls in the movie and always carried a pepper spray along. My self esteem increased and after some months when some boys in the market made some disgusting comments about me and tried to snatch away my dupatta, I implemented what I learnt and used the spray too. Last but not least I screamed so loudly that it was like a thunder. They ran away like cowards but no passer-by came to help which is just shameful in India. So girls what I want to say is that you have to protect yourself.

The film sheds light on the disturbing reality of eve-teasing in our society, delivering a jolt that leaves you shaken to the core. The performances are raw and intense, drawing you into the harrowing experiences of the characters. Kudos to Kashyap for tackling such a sensitive issue with unflinching honesty. No, there can be other ways to look at this situation too. If the men from the start have been the kind to defend the females in such situations, this short film wouldn’t have had this impact first of all, because in reality men get scared of goons just as women do but the sad part is “scared men” teaching the women and girls to be restricted. And as for this situation it’s good that they let the girls fight, it’s like an incident set on stone for that mohalla, it was a much needed lesson those men needed to learn and for that it’s good that they chose to stay put even this time as they had every other time.

That bus part was so relatable..has happened with me and my friend many a times.
We go to Delhi janakpuri for neet coaching..we are in 11th class ..just 16yrs old.
Everyday we get into the bus after a careful examination..we never enter the crowded ones and never go to those last seats idk why but it's like they are reserved for men.
Once we were in a crowded bus and a young boy with his 2 other fellows who all were around our age ..or perhaps he was 18 ...
That boy came in front of us and since the bus was crowded (when I say crowded it means everybody was just STUFFED in the bus..u know what DTC buses are like)..he pressed my friends breast and she screamed so hard....while the other 2 were behind us and kept pinching and slamming our butts ....
It was really hurting..they were pinching so hard...we both started crying..many aunties around us knew what was going on and still they didn't do anything....
Meanwhile me and my friend were crying and we tried hard to control our tears...my friend was more hurt than me becuz of that boy...
No-one did anything...later on when the bus got a little spaced..one aunty came and asked us 'beta what happened??'
We shouted at her and said was she dead that time and now coming here thinking of her to be some angel...my friend was even more loud
Aunty said "these Delhi girls are so uncultured ..they arouse men and then shout...if I had a daughter like u girls I would have killed her with my own hands " and she called us 'bigdi hui ladkiya'..
Everyone was quit this time too..just like before..even the conductor bhaiya didn't spoke a word
We are very simple normal girls and were decently dressed with our akash institute's shirt and jeans ..god knows why she called us that
But we were really hurt..we cried so much ..that whole day I felt so strange and I didn't study anything (while preparing for neet every single day is important)..
I didn't tell my parents or they would sent my brother to pick me (I like traveling with my friend and this is first time I stepped out of my house alone for an entire new city and that too with a friend so I just didn't wanted my brother with me)
After that incident..it happend with us again..this time it was an old age man..and once an uncle kept his hand on my back..
I don't think this will ever change..
Some people do make a face expressing they are sorry for us or angry about the situation but never move an inch or utter a single word.....

At starting when they are teasing radhika, at that time her two frnds were left her in that situation and am like wtf 'how can they do this to her frnd 'if she couldn't resist thst situation or she may die???? If a woman herself leave another woman in critical rape situations then how come we expect men to come and help??
I request all girls to to carry a knife in their bags and if anything happens wrong ( just cut off the bloody guys cooks) yes!!! And am nt shameful to use this kind of words! Woman maa hoti hai aur maa se badkar koi nhi hai iss duniya, if u can't respect atleast don't insult!!! And by indian Constitution in the sense if I cut off then it is taken as the self defense case and u won't get to be punished!
Edit: omg how long I commented! 😇
Just to clarify! There are some indian guys still who respect women!

I say pehle Bete ko padhao!! Ki logo (especially females) se kaise pesh aate hai!
And i am happy that my parents brought me up in the right way!
Edit: well, ab iska bhi koi galat matlab naa nikaldena (like "how dare you say beti bachao beti padhao bakwas hai"), mere hisaab se ye gender waala masla hi khatam krna chahiye aur sabko insaan ki tarah treat karo; after all every gender wants respect at the end of the day!

"THAT DAY AFTER EVERYDAY", PORTRAYS THE TRAUMA THAT WOMEN HAS TO FACE ALMOST EVERYDAY NICELY.
To boys: Being "cool" is not when u insult others but when u start to respect them. This film made me remember my experiences in the past.
Every girl faces such situations in her life, thats a general statement.
My experience has taught me that the memories of such experiences never fades with time,it remains sharp and haunting u at times. Eve teasings and harassments while travelling is an insult, the trauma that we face aftr that is terrible,it changes u ,ur perceptions ,ur attitudes ,ur confidence....all shatters.Makes us wish that we were not born as women.

Me n my 3 friends stuck in this kinda situation they were 6 n tried to misbehave with us but when my friend slap one guy they all started kicking us badly, luckily I ran from there n was trying to find someone for help bcoz I lost my mobile there, I found one house n start ringing the door bell again n again same time the boys started running to me n same time that family opened the gate without asking anything they have understood the matter n that time that family beat them badly n in last we all went to police for FIR but police said they r drunk so they can't take action!!!! What rubbish!! What's wrong with this government no one knows....... But in last we all understood that if something gonna happen wrong we have to face it n deal it by self bcoz no one will help...
So girls don't ask or wait for help just be brave n finish the basterds!!!

Somehow, i have been very critical of women safety and had always seen so much of violence happened as i grow old and grey. I always have felt, in my growing up years, that they should be strengthen well enough so that when the time comes, they don't have to see or to look up to anyone, their one move will make all the difference. An impact lasting forever. I truly applause ANURAG KASHYAP for this film. As a writer and a film maker, I strongly believe that a story should have a loud message and an impact on the society. Believe me when i say this, WOMEN ARE MUCH STRONGER THAN MEN. I mean it. Watch this spectacular presentation. Make your women, like them. STRONG & FEARLESS.

A beautiful message which is conveyed by this short film is way ahead than other bogus movies which r financed and made for commercial purpose, and the thing which i liked the most about human is that their way of changing colour, the last part in which pankaj says " they deserve thrashing for what they did which will bring them back on track". Deserve it 👏👏
