    Thanks for the break down Dave. I own a few gpx bikes after owning all the big European brands and they keep me happy for sure. I ride at ncmp myself maybe we can meet up for a good trail ride one day and talk more about these bikes.
    Also you do not need a pro circuit pipe, can be fmf as well as long as you have aftermarket ktm expansion chamber

    Nice upgrades and descriptions Dave , very informative and value in total 👍 as I have mentioned to you before I am a 55 yr old vet b rider, finding these bikes quite interesting, I did on Monday order a 2024 Beta RX 300 !!! BRAAAAAP and keep up the great work and look forward to seeing more updates 👍

    Cool bike! And nice tank! Although I like the fuel being carried as low as possible like the old tank.

      @Dirt_Bike_Dave  Před 8 měsíci

      Thanks @steveh1510...it's been a really good bike so far...the tank is for MX and weight savings but yea the stocker is bigger and not that bad.

      @rogerkelly4491 Před měsícem

      @@Dirt_Bike_Dave Better to leave the stock tank and not fill it all the way. Will carry the gas lower but be slightly heavier in total. Won't even notice it but if we drop 20lbs off our body that would be way better and very noticeable.

      @@rogerkelly4491 ...100 % fact..but I also like the look of the small tank...just personal preference. 👍

    might make a list of parts that you've put on it. Include part numbers if you can.

    These bikes look so much better as MX bikes! This is pretty much the same as what I did when I stripped my Kamax 250. One question; do you know which bike they cloned the radiator shrouds from? It doesn't appear to be from the same KTM as the rest. I'd like to order a custom decal kit but I can't find out which template to use for the shrouds. Maybe Henner knows if you don't.
    Will be interesting to follow this transformation!

    • @Dirt_Bike_Dave
      @Dirt_Bike_Dave  Před 8 měsíci +1

      Sorry I missed this...I have seen others put on KTM rad shrouds...but I have been told GPX has the template and also Decal Works.

    • @tomatdb52
      @tomatdb52 Před 8 měsíci

      @@Dirt_Bike_Dave yes, I’ve seen that they got them, but too expensive to import from the US to Thailand. I’ll probably ask the manufacturer. Or just change the shrouds to KTM ones 😎

    Nice update Dave. Just wondered as you have stripped all the electrical stuff off do you still use the ignition key or have you done away with it?
    Best regards Robbo

    • @Dirt_Bike_Dave
      @Dirt_Bike_Dave  Před 8 měsíci

      Still have key...and actually some things are still installed like the light on/off switch and the rear brake thing on the reservoir...still have some clean up to do.🤣

    • @RobboRobinson
      @RobboRobinson Před 8 měsíci

      @@Dirt_Bike_Dave I just wondered as the key can be a pain if left on as the battery drains. It's on some sort of power circuit connected to a relay. I may try change this to a push button only start. Just off on my travels again at mo. Off to New Zealand on friday back mid december. keep up the good work. PS: My 300 is awesome 👌

    it seems that you have stripped the tachometer too. What about xtng, how good is the carburetor over the stock one?

    • @Dirt_Bike_Dave
      @Dirt_Bike_Dave  Před 8 měsíci

      Yes I stripped the speedo/ tach/ instrument cluster thing...the Xtng carbs are an improvement for sure, but expensive and require that you also change the cable and throttle housing.

  • @rusty6314
    @rusty6314 Před 6 měsíci

    Did you have any problems tuning that XTNG carb? What premix oil do you use, ratio? Thanks

    • @Dirt_Bike_Dave
      @Dirt_Bike_Dave  Před 6 měsíci

      I run 40 to 1 Maxima..as for the XTNG...It ran perfect when it did, but would not always work or start...mine did not have the upgraded air screw with a choke feature..I contacted XTNG and they offer a kit to upgrade but it requires drilling holes into your brand new Carb for external venting and I just said Nope I am out...but who knows I may revisit it....I would recommend getting a Keihn PWK Airstriker ( or clone like A PWK NIBBI)..Jet it once and be done with it.

    Thanks for your info on all the Chinese dirt bikes. A few quick questions for you;
    Is GPX the only importer of the Chinese 2 stroke? I don’t need a MX bike. I gotta KTM 350 SXF and it’s too fast for where I ride. I gotta sell it. Does GPX ship the bike to me or a dealer?
    Thank you;
    Tony.

    • @Dirt_Bike_Dave
      @Dirt_Bike_Dave  Před 5 měsíci

      They are the only one's I know that have a 250( it's actually 225cc I believe) and the 300cc 2 stroke. They can ship directly to you or they do a a very small number of dealers...you can check the website. WWW.GPXMOTO.COM
      Hope that helps

    • @Exitwoundstudio
      @Exitwoundstudio Před 5 měsíci

      @@Dirt_Bike_Dave wow thanks for the fast response. I was hoping there were more 2 stroke importers. Not that I am determined to get a 2 stroke. Just more options.
      What is your opinion of the GPX skid plates? I ride in a rock quarry, lotsa roller rocks and toss up rocks, engine protection is important.
      I am an old guy, old Moto trials rider, no more crazy fast MX stuff for me. I am stuck between the 250 air cooled 4 stroke and the 300 4 stroke (hard to beat that sale price). Is that 300 an enduro power band or a MX power band?
      Thanks again.

    • @Dirt_Bike_Dave
      @Dirt_Bike_Dave  Před 5 měsíci

      @@Exitwoundstudio The 300 4 stroke is enduro type power ..the only thing with that bike is you gotta keep the EFI system clean...run race gas or non-ethenol..pump gas will work but don't let it sit because the ethenol gums stuff up....you could probably say that about all bikes these days.
