  • This project went through many different versions/iterations before I felt completely satisfied with it. It's definitely one of my oldest project files, dating all the way back to 2020.
Also the visuals were hand made, and the synchronization to the music had to be done manually, which is why in some spots it isn't perfect. Needless to say, I was finding it quite hard!
    VSTs:
    Arturia Pigments
    Arturia Prophet-5 V
    ARP Odyssey
    Native Instruments Reaktor

This is actually very good, the sounds, the visuals, and my beloved votrax voice!

kraftwerk is interesting to me, it seems they can communicate using a language based on numbers or algebra. during my teens years which was in the early 80's maybe late 70's, at night i could hear talking yet it was fast and not clear in its message, like multiple radio stations. the church I ran away from, would say to us young people, "Do you hear chatter at night! Those are demons!" Well, it wasn't, it was Kraftwerk. Unfortunately, I heard what a person with demons sounds like...its almost like its trying imitate something in the universe. thank you, kraftwerk

hard thing abt making kraftwerk sounds is it came out from the rarest machine item they could probably have back in the 80's and they could only make any types of sounds as futuristic as possible to them, and now in any modern equipment or any available samples from devices it's hard to create that rare pieces from the 80's. And i'm actually surprised that you'd able to make that acid bassline that anybody can't make.

@@kraftwerklover69 ig many people still have that minimoog on their displays and it still works just fine to create that robots bass pattern

It's possible with the right analog emulator VST but still it can be hard to get perfect sounding sound recreations.

      It's not that difficult

This is amazing! I gotta ask how did you extract the vocals so well? i've been dying to get my hands on accurate german votrax vocals but all my attempts have failed.

Thanks! I extracted the stems from the 5.1 Katalog surround sound mix and subsequently cleaned them up.

Or you could hang out at any Haltestelle in Germany and ask any random bloke, perhaps of a certain age, who'll be nigh on guaranteed to sing/intone the lyrics of any Kraftwerk track in a word~perfect manner.
