- This one is a little bit extra special for us.
Freddo the Rottweiler is 7 years old and had been surrendered several times, living a lot of his life in pounds.
He’d shut down and wasn’t letting anyone in.
And his behaviour wasn’t helping him find or stay in a home.
Even at the end of his training, no one was coming forward for Freddo.
But the universe had a special plan for Freddo.
This video is just that little bit extra special for thousands everywhere. Freddo the protector & love for life & family. You are indeed the mascot of The Farm. Thank you Ben for a beautiful compilation & my uncontrollable tears of joy. 🐶💜🐾

Freddo is the one who captured my heart. All through his training, I kept saying to myself, "They just can't give him away...they just CAN'T! It will break his heart for good!" I was heartbroken and cried buckets when Luke said he'd been adopted, then cried more buckets when the "new family" was revealed. And ever since, I have loved him and shared in his joy at his unbelievable luck. His heart is bigger than all outdoors, and he's finally found the home of his dreams, after all these years of sadness. He has a purpose now, not just as protector and head of cuddles, but as a shining ambassador for your life-saving program of rehabilitation through hard work, dedication, and lots of LOVE!🥰🥰🎀🎀❤

From a wild unwanted dog, Freddo became the mascot of the farm. He always wears a badge of honor on his collar, and he gained the honor to be on the center fold of the farm. Freddo ROCKS! ♥

I love that protectiveness too! I would not want to cross him or any belonging to his pack (humans and dogs). He has never loved and trusted like this before and he'll keeps an eye out constantly watching over others. Such a wonderful guy that opened my eyes to how fantastic his breed can be. He is a big fuzzy teddy bear and grateful to The Farm for welcoming him. 💖

Freddo such a star that boy is after all his trauma. Being a Rottie he's always going to protect thos kids and little Wolfie. One thing Abt Rottie s you have to start from beginning who's the boss, caus if you don't they'll definitely run all over you. Beautiful Freddo and by his example of how to behave he will b so good with training the shelter dogs.
I had completely forgotten that Freddo was dominant and aggressive at the beginning. I remember Luke wanting to hold back just a little so that Freddo didn't feel abandoned when he left the farm, but he is so sweet and gentle now that any thought of him aggressive seems ridiculous.
The adoption Day video remains one of my favorites. I was excited, but so nervous that Freddo would be returned again. Then not understanding at first when i saw the girls; thinking they were just there to see him off. Hearing Evie call out "This is your home!" and realizing he HAD found his home, his family, his pack and then pure joy knowing he would never, ever be abandoned again!

I love the beautiful ritual of celebrating and honoring the dogs forever homes and especially how this particular ritual took many of us by surprise, but shows how important the subtle energy of acknowledgment is, a bit like the the mycorrhizal communities within the soil being such an essential part of the whole of life!
Freddos adoption day - the build up, the hope that he was going to a great home still brings tears. I was blindsided by the amazing Evans family but so happy that I was.

I remember when Freddo came to the Farm. He was aloof and would not let anyone into his trust circle. He ran the fence line. I shed sad tears when Luke said he will have to come to him and maybe he won't get past basic training. But look at Freddo today. He's full of love and cuddles and has become a fish. A part of a pack. A part of a family full of love. Another example of what loving a dog can do.
I can watch the part when Freddo gets his forever home over and over again. It brings me to tears of joy. Freddo worked so hard to show what was truly inside him. Both the Evans family and Freddo are lucky to have each other!
I have watched his adoption video several times. It just makes me happy.

I always remembered Luke's words about trying not to grow the friendship to fast so that he would feel abandoned when he found his forever home. But Freddo made the decision for Luke. Freddo chose Luke and then it was over and done with as far as Freddo was concerned. Love when Luke says do you want to live with us. Freddo's like I already do, duh. Let's play. Freddo went from aggressive to the family protector and nanny for the kids. He does love swimming and toys but the best is when you combine the toys in the pool. I love that he is the face of The Farm with a toy in his mouth. So Freddo. That boy deserved the best family possible and that is what he got and he will be a huge help in letting other shelter dogs know its okay to trust the pack leader and be the doggos they were meant to be. Another great job Ben and Sam on the film work.

I loved how you almost immediately put him in that totally square bowtie in a cheerful little pattern to minimize the scary Rottweiler in him. He’s been a stellar addition to the pack. He’s a totally transformed boy!

Freddo is THE perfect face of The Farm. He has shown what can happen with the right training, patience and above all love. He was meant to be rescued by Luke and Sam. He is gorgeous, has a gentle soul and is a fierce protector of the family, especially the littles. God works in mysterious ways. He sure got this right! Love you Freddo♥️🐕🦺♥️🐕🦺👧🏻👧👦♥️

Freddo knows he's special. He's the only Rottweiler on the farm. You really fooled me when that adoption video aired. I could hear the children and then was so happy you kept him. I don't think he could handle another rejection.

I remember when you revealed who adopted him and I was crying happy tears for him. He loves his children.
I have so many happy memories of Freddo but none better than his days in the pool and the dam. I'll never forget his first dock dive. I don't know who was prouder, Freddo or me. I just wish everyone would judge dogs on a one by one basis. It hurts me so much when people believe and say that some breeds are just too darn dangerous especially, they feel, around children. Well "Nanny" Freddo dispels all those malicious thoughts. A gentler soul has rarely existed.

I would never have believed that Freddo started his Farm life like he was….. I missed his starting story…. What a transformation, look how far Freddo has come…He’s living his very best life, so happy he now has the best family ever! The before and after videos are just lovely….. 🐾❤️🐾
I think there may have been a few who were interested in Freddo -he’s quite gorgeous, after all; but hesitated at taking on a full grown Rottweiler. We can see how gentle and loving he is but there’s a lot of power in that breed. Good thing he found a dad who can handle him just fine, a mom he can adore, and little siblings he can protect. All things that bring out the very, very good boy in Freddo. 😊

Fantastic Fabulous Freddo and how small Wolfie was. Watching Freddo become the beautiful dog he is now shows that there is hope for Chance Nevaeh Roscoe and Molly. Back on the day of the adoption we all should have known what was happening because Sam and Luke weren’t crying 😘😘 but fun it was the Signature Bow Tie Freddo romping like everyone else. 🐾❤️🐾❤️🙏🏻🙏🏻
I'm so glad you filmed so much of Freddo's training so that we can see it now. It's like reading a biography of someone you thought you knew. It makes me appreciate him, and Luke and Jason, that much more. I love that you talked to the girls about adopting Freddo. And, I was hoping to see Freddo pull Elle out of the pool!

When Freddo “saved” the children in the pool, I just forgot about who he had been before. Thanks to all Luke’s leadership and affection, Freddo was allowed to show his unique personality. He’s such a love!!

I'm a 63-year-old softie...I can't remember when I cried as much as I did when I watched Freddo's adoption video...first because I thought he was going to someone else, then again when I saw who adopted him!
I am older than everyone and I cried too.
71 years old and I still get teary every time I watch that gate open and the girls saying Freddo is home.

Every story of every shelter/rescue dog leaves me feeling so much love for whichever doggie it might be, even in the beginning when their behavior is usually the worst. Sam and Luke, you have proven in spades what many of us believe: there is no such thing as a bad dog. Your understanding, patience, and love freed Freddo from a life of rejection and look at him now. The EYES of that luvvie! He's got just THE biggest heart & Love for his pawrents & their wee ones, & his bond with Uncle Luke & fam is a miracle to behold after all he'd undergone. One of THE Originals, I myself can't *even* imagine The Farm without him! When I thought he'd been adopted? I cried pressing the play button BUT SURPRISE!🎉 Freddo Head of Cuddles got pride of place & it was at Uncle Luke's knee ~ & every other knee, too! Oh how loyal! Ohh how he serves! Ohhh how he keeps vigilance over his fam! & ohhhhhMY when he's smiling & I see it? All's right with the world.. as long as he's good? :D I am, too. Freddo, the beloved canine patriarch of the Farm. Once Freddo realised you weren't giving up on him there was a big change in him and he wanted to please you and get hugs, kisses and told he's a good boy. I just can't imagine him anywhere else. I will always remember when Freddo had let down his barriers and got, "happy tail?" I think Luke called it...where his tail was temporarily paralysed from too much use, wagging!!!🤗🥰

Oh dear another tear jerker! I was going to say that Freddo has been transformed into a beautiful, loving, big softie; but, I think he always has been. He just needed his Uncle Luke/Dad to convince him that he could be himself, let down his guard and be the beautiful boy that he is. It took time but he has also become a world class dock diver and swimmer. I think he realized that if he couldn't keep the girls out of the pool that he had to learn to swim so he could protect them. I do believe there are a lot of viewers out there that now wish they had their own Freddo.

Absolute rush of tears as Luke was talking and we saw the fierce side of Freddo - knowing what was coming I still weep buckets when the door is opened and "the" family is waiting. So happy for Freddo - so deeply happy.

Freddo is best advertisement for the work you do, taking difficult dogs and giving them the greatest chance at being the best, most loving pets they can be. Total validation for the work you do bring hope to many other lost souls in the shelters.
