fun fact: all missions, dungeons, void and void reactors you clear for the first time, gives you 200 mastery rank exp per mission cleared. you can see it in the tooltip of each mission, dungeon etc. also counts for normal difficulty but will give you less mastery exp! and since you clear (i think all) missions on normal storywise, you should've got them already :) correct me if i am wrong. I'm just a human xD
Very true ever since I’ve gotten all the ultimate descendants my mastery rank has gone up quite a bit I was stuck at 19 then farmed the rest of the ultimate descendants and my mastery rank has been sky rocketing, same with the weapons as well
Awesome video, didnt know ranking up weapons increased mastery. Guess I'm going to stop discarding all those purple weapons. Researching a new descendant so will give him all new guns as I grind a few defence missions later. Thanks for the info!

@@russellmcgibbon6187you don’t need any materials. Just bring all Descendants and weapons 1x to its max level. After using Catalysts you don’t get any Rank Exp anymore.

I found that out a bit later lol used a bunch of catalysts on descendants and weapons thinking it would level up mastery. You can only max them all out just once to gain mastery xp.
Level up all weapons and descendants. There is a fixed amount of mastery xp in the game. If you max out proficiency on something, it will no longer gain mastery xp. Crafting also give mastery rank.
there is also for whatever reason a hidden reward for ranking up ur mastery u get extra descendant preset slots but its not each rank up so i dont really know the increments
same honestly, you could have perfect builds but learning the bosses is an integral part of playing, I am gonna have a video showing all bosses and explaining them in depth soon:)

You don’t need a new descendant to do this. Carry a low rank weapon on you at all times.

that will not work, the game remembers which descendants you have and have not crafted you have to craft the normal and the ultimate one separately
It sucks that the way mastery works is mostly locked behind levelling descendants!
I don't think it's sucks, BUT I disagree with how it can start off not having enough inventory space it just gets easier the longer you go on
People sitll dont know that after you reset the level on a weapon or a descendant, doesnt give you exp anymore

i'm juggling 6 builds in progress at the same time currently, its slow because there's no way to instantly get catalysts without spending money
