Speaking as a victim of something traumatic (definitely not a school shooting), I agree to a point. They need a counsellor, they need to be able to get help so that they can move forward through their trauma. However, toys help as well. I had a stuffed animal given to me by a police detective when I couldn't speak about what happened to me- and playing with this stuffed animal inside the detective's office actually helped me speak about that trauma. He allowed me to keep the toy and to this day, I still have it. So, toys can definitely help victims because they do bring relief. However, they do need help with their trauma and they need counsellors.
Why can’t anyone let a good act just be that? That may be a way to help some of the children cope. I 100% agree they need everything you said, and so much more. But a lot of people, like me, aren’t in a position to be able to do anything except donate and hope it goes towards something that helps them. But it really just makes everything more disheartening to see all the comments on videos of people trying to do something to help and people crapping on it. Just let something good be good.

I don't understand why you want to tear it down. Clean it up. Make it a safe place for the children and put up a marmoreal for them. Have the school board make a special day to remember them. If we tear down every place there's a horrible shooting than there will be no place left that looks like it did and this world will have no special place that have been left behind from other generation.

So many unnecessary things being done at the moment. Toys. Flowers. A cowboy standing on the corner of you want to "talk". Kids are dead. Families are mourning and here we have people trying to get some recognition one way or another.
They are not unnecessary. During times of mourning it's usually family and friends that step up and send money,cards, flowers and food. They have a whole nation coming together and this is exactly what is needed; an outpouring of support and love.
