That laughter in between the answers; its the generosity of a man who knows the answers cannot be found by way of discursive thought but humors the student all the same. "The truth my son, is what you may* find doing zazen until your pate shines like mine! . . . that and what you become"

One common occurnace with all the videos I watch of enlightened people is how they all find the questions people ask them funny. I think once you see beyond all the questions in your head and it "clicks" you find how most people think amusing lol I've had times where I've had an "ahhh" moment and just laughed out loud, weird!

I think they also may chuckle as a pause while trying to find the right words to describe some ideas that aren't easily expressed in everyday English. Like if someone talks about being and non-being or no-self, it sounds funny or even nonsensical to a person who hasn't been exposed to the true meaning of ideas like this, so you have to take care how you explain these ideas.

I’ll try to explain what he means, something I understood suddenly.
The separation he is talking about is our necessary “putting in the box” stuff we do to analyze and to explain things. Life, what is life, we separate it from the environment and we describe it as an external being observing in “in a box”. That’s ok, everything is based on that. We do science in that way, we transfer informations to others in that way. The problem is that you end up analyzing “something” out of context. You can’t describe something when there is no separation. For example, your body, emits infrared rays but we don’t think about them when we described ourselves or thinking to others, we kinda separate informations between useful informations to useless informations for the purpose we decided. But wait, we decided the purpose then, that means that we can describe things deciding the “wall of the box” but if that is true, there is no ultimate truth until you remove those walls, because (as he says) everything is just one thing, all connected and all one.
The truth in concept is some statement or concept we created observing the object in the box
The truth without concept is just that, you can’t explain it, you can’t describe it, you can only face it, with your limited perception ofc and limited senses, then you realize that if everything is all interconnected, you and the thing you are watching are the same thing, you change it and it changes you. The atoms are all close together, some loose some tight but it’s all big chunk of matter. The universe is all one.
That’s why zen is unexplainable, that’s why is not meditation, because meditation is already a concept for some activity that have already been “boxed”, you can’t say zen is the observation of reality because “observing”, “reality” are all concepts that are already been boxed, even the word “zen” is a boxed concept.
You must face it with no concepts, and you have to be careful because also this statement is a “boxed” concept itself.
Then you realize the meaning of “wu”
Just pure mental silence (see how those words giving you some sort of emotions? Those are boxed concepts)
Wash all away, observe the observer, shorten the way, let your mind see itself. (Concepts, concepts concepts again)
(I don’t know if gave you the idea, it’s hard to explain with concepts the inexplicable “out of concepts” concept)

What I am saying, and I can be nicer, is that I wish there was a way he could deliver what he knows in a form that we could digest better. What he has said in this video was really incomprehension. I used to be a buddhist (zen) and today i'm a christian , and there is some parallels between the two in its view of human nature .
I'd like to shortly share with you what the core message of the bible is and its natural to start with a verse that is called John 3,16 which says :
"For so did God love the world that He gave His only begotten Son so that whosoever believe in Him shall not perish but have everlasting life . "
So why did God have to "give His Son" ??
It's because God created humans to be a reflection of himself and His nature which is perfect love and compassion but instead in our free will we fell from God in disobediance and our nature actually altered into what we are today and as you buddhists know we do not do all of our actions with a intention out of perfect uncoditional love , which is Gods nature , no instead we often have a egocentric intention and in the beginning of the bible were it describes mans fall into sin it says :
"And God saw that mans INTENTION were evil all day long and it grieved God that He had created man"
So because God is a holy and just/good God He could not be around man anymore once we became inpure and because of that He withdrew Himself from us , but even if God hates sin He loves all humans unconditionally so that is why He sent Jesus , to do what we couldn't do and that is to live our lives fully according to Gods will from cradle to grave in unconditional love compassion and kindness , Jesus did this and this is actually visible when Jesus dies on the cross when he prays for His murderers He says : Father forgive them for they do not know what they are doing .
Bible says that God laid all the worlds sin on Jesus, so by faith in Jesus we can receive forgiveness for our sin and be saved , saved from what ? The consequences of our sin which is that we are enemies of God because of our sinful actions and ultimatly it a day will come were God will judge all sinners in the afterlife , just like society judges criminals because they do things that is deemed unacceptable / evil .
Last quote from the Bible is :
Very truly I tell you, whoever hears my word and believes him who sent me has eternal life and will not be judged but has crossed over from death to life

And what really troubles me is the question how shall one do this, stop thinking. Is there a method which teaches you how to stop thinking? But if there would be a method, than there would be a concept and the whole trouble starts again. So, what do I have to do to learn to sit without thinking? And please, don't answere "just sit" because than, I fear, the trouble never ends.

Zazen is something that just happens not something you try and do. Like wise with anything else in life.

The problem is not what you "get" - as 69torus has pointed out - but that we are unaware that we have reduced our reality to mere thought, and self-centered thought, at that. We simply are not aware of it until, by simply sitting and abandoning those otherwise useful tools of coneptualization, we realize what we have not been aware of.

we should even make a corection that life is out of concept or living life; if is conceptual, is it not a living, is it..?

The last thing I'd ask to a Zen Master is, what is the truth. Poor master.
