The big bag Max is carrying is an inside joke about the huge inventory that characters have in the game. The target does not have a gun because THAT is what cx-404 is for, the dog was trained to be a protector. (CX-404 was not running on the treadmill to provide power it was for getting strong) the lab has fusion power. Filly is not Philadelphia, it is a landfill site that was used by the military. No way Lucy walked from Santa Monica to Philadelphia. The Ghoul stabbed CX-404 because they attacked him and yes The Ghoul revived her to track Wilzig. The most important line in the whole series "this was the most humane product that vault-tec ever made"
I'd have said the Vault-Suit or the Bobbleheads, but this IS Vault-Tec we're talking about so "deadly poison" is probably in the top 10. The big bag could also be a wink at how many players make their companion carry all their extra stuff (still an inventory joke though). "Filly" could also be a reference to Fillmore, CA, a town just northwest of LA. On the scale of a Fallout game map it'd be like a 10-15 minute walk.
