Diy Organic, Cold-Pressed ~Unrefined Coconut Oil- Natural Hair , Skin & Cooking Oil

  • Greetings and welcome back to my kitchen.
in today's video; I'm sharing with you all my cold pressed/unrefined coconut oil recipe.
Cold-pressed coconut oil can care for your skin with more efficacy than any moisturizer that uses many artificial ingredients. Cold-pressed coconut oil, due to the preservation of all the nutritional properties, provides a therapeutic therapy for the skin, which can aid in the cure of skin diseases like atopic dermatitis. It enhances the moisture retention of chapped and dry skin and also helps in the better functioning of the skin by proving to be a shield against infectious agents, chemicals, and allergens.
Consuming cold-pressed virgin coconut oil which is pure, unrefined, and extracted from freshly harvested coconuts is an ideal choice for cooking, healthier than other refined vegetable oils. The cold pressing technology helps preserve and retain the natural goodness, vital nutrients, rich aroma and flavor of fresh coconuts.
    Unrefined coconut oil
Sometimes called virgin coconut oil, unrefined coconut oil is oil that has been pressed from coconut meat and undergone no further processing.
There are two methods of extracting unrefined coconut oil from coconuts
Dry. This method uses a machine to press coconut oil out of dried coconut flesh, or copra.
Wet. This technique involves pressing both coconut milk and coconut oil out of fresh coconuts and then separating the two.
Most unrefined coconut oil is extracted using the wet process. You may see some unrefined coconut oils labeled “cold pressed,” which means that no heat was used in its extraction.
Unrefined coconut oil is solid at room temperature and has a strong coconut flavor and scent, which it can impart to foods that include it. Its smoke point, or the temperature at which the oil begins to smoke, is 350°F

Great tip on using the bag and hanging it! I did this BUT when it separated, my water was on the TOP?? What is going on with this and how could I screw up something with no added ingredients but water? Coconut and filtered water. The 7 small drained, cleaned - simply ran under the water, and cut into chunks, not shredded before going into blender. The coconuts were good, not going bad, because I was eating them as I did each one. Lol.
Your video IS THE BEST one I have come across & I watched a lot because I had initially followed instruction from a pethelpers website to make this cold pressed coconut oil. The final product will be moisturizer for my dog. THEY had me pit it in the frig after blending it with water. It was in there for 24 hours....nothing was happening. My "milk" did not get scoopable off the top like the website so THAT is when I started watching actual videos. Now I am good in ghe kitchen, not quite a chef, but I can follow a recipe well. So after watching your video, I poured my refrigerated "blenderized" coconut & filtered water into the bag & hung it. I came back in about 4 hours and it was separated, only REVERSE of how yours and everyone elses separated!?!?
So I drained out the bottom layer of MILK and pinched the bag to stop the water from going in bowl.
Then the next step was I put it in a (glass) bowl with lid like you did (being in the US in Pennsylvania the summer temp right now is very warm & muggy) and so I put the coveted bowl outside on my porch, not in the sun. I had it out there for at least 24 hours and it never looked clumpy, "yeasty" like yours. In fact, I had some liquid on the top and thought it looked promising until I went to scoop the "milk curds" and it just swirled around and blended into ghd watery substance. Grrrrrrrrrr. I tried freezing it to see if the solids would freeze first so I could separate but the entire thing froze! At a loss now so I just put the whole thing outside again...now going on 24 hours but I am not hopeful. Something happened along the way but not sure what.
I appreciate any insight you can give me.
