4.0L V8 biturbo engine
Advanced performance comes from a higher-output yet more compact 4.0L biturbo V8. With 463 hp, it's more powerful than its predecessor, matches its 516 lb-ft of peak torque, and outperforms it in both responsiveness and responsibility.
9G-TRONIC automatic transmission
With a greater range of ratios and shorter steps between gears, the 9-speed automatic changes gears more quickly but nearly imperceptibly. Along with a more seamless delivery of power, the lighter, more versatile transmission enhances quiet riding comfort and fuel-efficiency.
4MATIC all-wheel drive
In any season, on any road, 4MATIC® all-wheel drive adds to your confidence and control. Always engaged and optimizing torque to every wheel, 4MATIC integrates with ESP®, our standard Electronic Stability Program, for maximum effectiveness in corners and slippery conditions. It also incorporates our 4-wheel Electronic Traction System (4-ETS®), which monitors for the first sign of wheel slip and responds to ensure torque is sent to the wheels with the best grip, even if that's only one wheel.
Design leadership
With its ideal proportions and distinctive details, the S-Class is at once majestic and athletic. From the double chrome bars in its grille and elegant front apron, to its strong rear shoulders, it clearly conveys the power and strength within.
AMG body styling (optional)
Aggressive sculpting of its deep front air dam, flared side sills and rear valence visually hug the road, much like the AMG® wheels included with the AMG Line achieve the same goal in a more literal sense.
COMAND system with touchpad controller
The Cockpit Management and Data (COMAND®) system offers intuitive access to a world of entertainment, navigation and convenience. The central controller falls naturally to hand, teaming an intuitive touchpad with a rotary knob and one-touch keys for major functions.
All-LED exterior lighting
The first car without a single lightbulb since the advent of electric lighting in automobiles, the S-Class advances its technology with bold style. From its headlamps and triple-band LED Daytime Running Lamps to its three-segment vertical taillamps with intriguing "Stardust" technology, long-lasting and energy-efficient LEDs accomplish every exterior lighting function.
Heated 16-way power front seats with memory
Intuitive, and artfully sculpted, seat-shaped controls help you and your front passenger find your ideal seating positions with 16-way power adjustment, including cushion length and 4-way power lumbar support. A memory system for each front seat recalls three stored seat positions with the touch of a button.
Optional
Active multicontour front seats with massage

An excellent design of elegance in a machine. Quite on point and beautiful car.
Detailed review ever well done 👍
This is absolutely THE Mercedes I would have if I had an extra 110k laying around. The only thing I would change is the exterior color; I would choose either Ruby Black Metallic or Emerald Green Metallic. This is all the Mercedes-Benz I'd ever need! Very solid review.
Sweet ride! test drove one yesterday,OMG! the only cars that could match the luxury, and the performance is Rolls, ur bentley.
You did an impeccable job with the review!! 🌟🌟🌟🌟🌟 this car is absolutely mind blowing!!!! 🙌🏾💖

Excellent review Mr.Benjamin! Mercedes, take my money...
This car is just stunning. Inside and out and this isn't even the s63 AMG s class. Id love to have it in this exact spec. ❤

I appreciate that!

Great review!! Thanks. Mine doesn't say 4Matic. Do you know why. Exact same car 2020
that is a very beautiful car
Thank you Eisen! In person, it looks spectacular.
Very nice and thorough video demonstration. I just purchased the exact same car.
Congratulations! I hope you enjoy the drives.
@@BenjaminMutuku thanks so much!! my wife and I are looking forward to many wonderful drives with this amazing vehicle
Let me borrow it to pick up my girl bro hahaha nicee
At least this S Class doesn't have fake exhausts !☺️
There will always be a gap between the actual exhaust pipes and the holes at the bottom of the bumper because the bumper is attached directly to the body. The exhaust pipes have to hang to allow movement and vibration with the suspension. If they were connected to the bumper they would break off after one speed bump.
Excellent review- I have always wanted a Mercedes, but haven't bought one because I'm concerned about reliability. Thinking about buying a 2-year old S-Class 4-MATIC.
Yes, the S class will always have horrendous reliability problems... whether it's brand new or 2 years old, it's still going to drain your wallet.... you best just LEASE it first to see how you like the reliability problems... if you can live with all the annoying problems then you can decide to buy when your lease is over... if you hate the reliability problems, then you best get the current Lexus LS500 or the previous generation LS460...
@@argentumboyle249 Thanks for the input- I think you just dissuaded me from purchasing. I currently have an RX 450H- it's my third RX, and first hybrid. I've had zero problem with any of them. A used LS 500 is an excellent idea. Thanks again for the input sir.

Check out the 2014 S550 for like $30,000...
@@chuckkerber4735 my grandma still has her 1992 LS400... she bought it brand new back in her glorious days and it's still running... it has over 300,000 miles now but it starts every time.... never had any problems... all she has ever done for it is regular maintenance... I think she replaced the gasket once, and that is it... still running like brand new... leather seats still look great, especially the rear bench seat since no one hardly sits there... the driver seat has wrinkles but not torn.... everything electrical or mechanical works fine.... grandma might be gone to see her creator long before her Lexus LS400 go see the junkyard....
Great Review, but serious question can that yellow on the speedometer be changed or is that just standard? I’ve seen it on many Merc vehicles and it’s not a compliment to the interior
Once you drive it you won't even notice it...
Sir what is ground clearance??
Great car. But I will take the house instead. Lol! 🤙🏾🤙🏾
I Very Wish One Car Mercedes Benz Is So Mouch Better and Beautiful...!!
Just get a 2014 for $30,000...

The last good looking s-class
The dashboard here is far better than the one in the current S Class.
Much better to watch this on 2x
Why tho
Good review but the lights in the back are mirrors not reading lamps. The top material in the interior is not cashmere the pillows i beleive strap on the rear head rests.
After owning Merceds for over 15 years (Last one an ML) and watching the depreciation and high cost of repairs, I've switched to Toyota. Reliable, great resale and a lot more fun to drive. P.S.... my last repair bill was over $7000.00. And, in order to repair the sun roof, which I didn't do, would have cost me....$12,000.00. And, that's not a misprint.
I can totally understand your frustration. Thank you for the support Lewis.
You should have bought an extended warranty
@@sholaesq Faulty engineering. No more German cars for me........
Don’t blame you D. Lewis. I switched from BMW to Lexus and my only regret is i waited until over $5k in repairs before I switched.
That’s why u never buy a certain car if u don’t know a technician that works there 🥂
Better than the 2021 S-class
Beautiful car but the design is beginning to show its age. Expect the new model in a years time to be next level.
Ummm NOT!!!! This is the best model ever and looks a lot better than the W223 by far.
I am gripping one of these in blue
I will be purchasing my Benz in Miami in November 2021, and here I am manifesting it in the comments. I will blow minds.
If you have plenty of money get this baby, if you live paycheck to paycheck get a Toyota Corolla.
Or if you really want one just get a 2014 S550 for $30,000....
Skyhawks245 Facts.
No view of the sticker...I wanna those options...
Does it have a AC & Heater in the foot space?
yes. It's an S-class. This S-class has been sold.
@@BenjaminMutuku thanks for letting me know. Btw GREAT video!
"If you have a small garage it's not gonna fit". That's my only problem with an S-class but luxury demands that length.
Compared to my 1979 lincoln this car is tiny.
@@chonasimpson6487 wow. I would like to own am S-class before l quit this earth. That beast fascinates me.
#wishlist
I love this vehicle but a black on black interior is very boring
why when talking about the different cars no Price tags are not
mentioned?
Duly noted Derrick. Thank you for the feedback. I started adding pricing info to the reviews.
I’d rather have this over the c63 sedan
I tend to agree! I'd still like to buy the flagship pre-2021 model.
compared to tha maybach shiiiii
If you think you will buy this car, DO IT. the next gen S class is ugly and not worth the money. 2020 S class is worth every cent of money.
She’s perfect just add one inch to the wheels and it will be Bentley killer
Big wheels rough ride i never understood the big wheel thing. To me it is stupid to have rubber bands for tires is it not the whole idea of a S class to ride smooth 18 inch wheels are more than big enough with some side depth to provide a nice ride. Just imagine how nice it would ride with 16 inch rims it would float even more. The rims getting bigger and bigger is just another stupid fad just like another fad for motorcycles to have everything flat black murdered out is what they call it. Good taste has fallen off a cliff
@@chonasimpson6487 yeah I know smaller ones ride even better but to between spot of ride/aesthetics is prolly 21 on s class
I got w213 on 19 it’s so good 18s would look off proportion
How much is it worth in 2022???? Anyone

Mercedes do a little to much with there design so of it should be for the future
Thats actually the design from 2014

Why pick this over a Chrysler 300?
Or a Cadillac CT6
Just give me a 2014 S63 AMG for $40,000....
Good luck

A couple of friendly suggestions sir. I am a follower. I appreciate and value your efforts. However, two elements of your videography distract from the overall quality of your service. Your hand. Too often it becomes the dominant element without adding value while ping ponging viewers eyes. It is unnecessary to point out everything the camera is focused on. I suggest you intrude your hand - the vehicle, your commentary and video are the stars. Less is more for nonessentials. Point only for emphasis or to call out something unique. Second your camera movement is sometimes jerky and its movement too fast. Linger on highlights, innovations, unique value propositions, important feature / benefits. Your reviews are above average and informative. Let the vehicle sell itself - or not: review it objectively. My intent is to be helpful with this feedback. Checkout Thomas on Autogefühl
for examples of what I mean. A high-quality camera will solve some of the lighting quality challenges - light, focus, and overall video quality is a differentiator. I've revisited your review several times. It is extremely helpful.
Thank you 🙏🏾 for this detailed feedback. It’s highly appreciated. Definitely to be incorporated in future upcoming reviews.
Mercedes is good for luxury but not reliability
I’ve had a C class for 10 years and it’s the most reliable car I’ve ever had. I typically spend $500 annually on services, and that’s it. Unless, am replacing brakes or a set of tires.
Where are your facts and proof?
I disagree. I own an E class. Never had a problem except self induced.
Benjamin Sila Mercedes Benz is like concept cars in tech, and yes it's edgy. There is failing, if there is any car brand that has gained reliability it learned from Mercedes concept and accented on it. So follow the leader....Mercedes Benz. I've been a proud owner of different models for 18 years now.
@@BenjaminMutuku which model and year please?
Nice car - You should Study English more - and know what type of part on this car ? I couldn’t understand you ..
Interesting you should say that. This doesn't make sense either - "what type of part on this car". For someone who has 2 degrees, I don't need to study more English.

I still think the Lexus ls 500 is better and better looking
Yupp bro Lexus has beauty and reliability I own a 2006 Lexus LS430 best looking LS they ever made to me has that European S-Class W-140 Look with great reliability and never getting rid of mines 😎👊🏾✊🏾👍🏾

@@theodoreyoung8777 Definitely keep that LEXUS fam, great, great car....I'm getting me one soon, should've had one years ago,smh....
2015-2020 Mercedes Benz has NOT changed anything exterior or interior. But every one keeps singing praises - even though literally it stayed the same car for last 6 years. Leather/ Materials after all what is that other companies can not reproduce? Mercedes is more expensive by 20-30 k for the same features which even European rivals like BMW and Audi could offer. Asian competition offers more features for less. But , people justify, German engineering, pedigree, you could drive a BMW till the wheels can come off... All emotional statements with little substance. IF you are a tech guy, you could easily see that Mercedes Benz is over engineered, some times technology that is redundant. They do not back their own cars for more than 4 years, or 40000 miles, and this is not just a ploy to extract more money for the willing customers This is about what could possibly go wrong will go wrong. Anyone with some automotive knowledge could easily recognize that reliability is the not the strong suit of Mercedes Benz. Too many repairs and too expensive to repair In the end it becomes an expensive ornamental car to buy which satisfies the ego and puts a hole in the packet. As it is with most things in life, we all want the forbidden fruits, and thus the Benz.
Granted but Benz owners are loyal nd the grill and taillights are different
