    Great video just one thing sometimes it's a good idea to shut all doors when tension is applied as shutting them afterwards when there distorted is a nightmare and can break zips ☺

    Just bought this tent from eBay and have done a test pitch, used tips from this video and it's worked a treat thanks loads saved an argument had it up in 20/30 minutes and down and packed away in the same time. Love the oasis 6 can't wait for try it out 👍👍👍👍

    You simply must watch this!! Until I viewed this video, pitching our Higear Frontea 8 tent was a nightmare! We pitched it twice following the manufacturers instructions and struggled greatly. The second time there were 3 of us, still following the manufacturers instructions, which resulted in one of the poles being bent (which I had to replace).
    Then I watched this video.......I single handed pitched the tent in 20mins!! Before I saw this, there is no way I would've considered taking my tent away for less than a week as it would've been too much aggro, now I'd consider a weekend with it as it's no trouble. Can't thank you guys enough for this video, many many thanks.

    Great video, I just purchased an old Vango Artemis 500 for a festival I'm going to, no instructions with it & I'm a complete novice. I tried pitching it yesterday as a trial run and really struggled. I will follow the tips in this video next time

    After a deflating experience with a blow up tent it looks like I'm digging the old oasis 8 out next weekend... this is a great video and really helped me last time I tackled such a large tent ... (I guess you can't come camping with us next weekend to help?)

    hi, really great videi and has been so heloful but I wish you had put more time in the pegging! do I peg the skirt then the poles or should I peg skirt and poles together with one peg!? The first time I pegged my tent I must have used 50 pegs hahaha. I pegged the ground sheet, then the tent skirt, then the tent poles, then the guy lines!!! I was shattered and it took me ages. looking at your video....I have been truly over pegging lmao. please help if you can.

  • @paulwebster8211
    @paulwebster8211 Před 9 lety

    Great video, one question you peg out the corners and later the peg out the guylines at what point would you peg out the rest of the tent?

    • @GOOutdoorsTV
      @GOOutdoorsTV  Před 9 lety +1

      Paul Webster Hi Paul. You actually need surprisingly few pegs to actually peg the tent out. Once you have all the poles in, re-jiggle the tent to make sure it's all parallel and the peg down the groundsheet and the skirt around the tent. After that you need to do all the guy lines. Hope that helps - Ian Mac

    Any chance you could show how to attach the canopy?!! It's not the easiest thing to do and the instructions inside the canopy bag aren't clear! Made a disaster of it today on or practise pitch 😂😂

  • @respectedtherightway6695

    is this the same as the oasis elite 6 canopy as that is what i am looking for?

  • @rr19710
    @rr19710 Před 9 lety +1

    Why do you put the middle pole in first I was told to start from the back????

    • @GOOutdoorsTV
      @GOOutdoorsTV  Před 9 lety +2

      rr19710 Hi - If you put the middle pole up first - the tension between the pegged out corners makes the tent stand up un assisted. If you do the end pole first it can fall over. It is also easier to get the air in to the tent halfway as that is where the side door is situated. Thanks Ian

    • @andrewlilley9070
      @andrewlilley9070 Před 6 lety

      Middle deffo goes first. Everything else is easy to get done after that. Air rushes in through the half open doors and the tension follows to the back/front. Add a glass of whisky and relax lol

      There is another handy video from Go outdoors about putting a large tent away, should help you

    • @andrewlilley9070
      @andrewlilley9070 Před 6 lety +1

      Basically in reverse but make sure that the door is open/unzipped. So that the air gets out. Then fold up to the size of the folded poles. Do not put the pegs in. Leave them out in case of puncher. And I wash mine when home for easy to use next time.

    What is the best way to pack down air go nimbus 8 tent

    • @GOOutdoorsTV
      @GOOutdoorsTV  Před 9 lety

      Roy Bullock Hi - the best way I have found is to deflate the tent the roll it like a sausage towards the release values (with them open) squeezing out the remaining air. Then close the valves, un-roll the tent and fold the same way I do it in this video. The bags fairly generous so shouldn't be too tricky - thanks Ian
