@@MRWINDYMETHANE I said the same thing as well as Legends of the Hidden Temple. Somehow Double Dare the worst of the 3 which allows you to skip the obstacles by answering questions made the list. While the other 2 shows are straight up all about completing obstacle courses.

WHERE THE DUCK IS GLADIATORS! Also in the UK, a number of shows that were on that could've been mentioned: Fort Boyard, Jungle Run, 50/50 and of course the GOAT of kids obstacle course shows: FUN HOUSE! It was basically our version of Double Dare
Some of My Favorite Obstacle Course Game Shows are Splatalot, Family Game Night, Wipeout, The Floor is Lava, American Ninja Warrior Junior, GUTS, American Gladiators, The Crystal Maze, Wild and Crazy Kids, Legends of the Hidden Temple, Fun House and The Double Dare Franchise!😂🤣❤️📺🎶
I loved the Titan Games, Takeshi's Castle, Ninja Warrior Franchise, and Wipeout when i was a child and i still watch the Titan Games and the Ninja Warrior Franchise till this day but i cant watch the rest anymore due to that i cant access it or it got shutdown
Dude! What about the Nickelodeon obstacle course game show, "The legends of the Hidden Temple"!? It should have been on this list instead of "Double Dare."
Or you could make a Top 10 British Obstacle Course Game Shows list consisting of both kids and adults game shows. Zak Wright from England posted this comment.
I swear Ninja Warrior felt like the best kept secret on an underrated channel (G4TV) before it got all Americanized. First time I saw it, some old Japanese comedian attempted the course but freaked out at the first obstacle, a water pit no less, and fell😆
Okay, the Titan Games is my favorite competitive obstacle course shows. Not only that Dwayne “The Rock” Johnson is the host, but THAT one episode with a woman who just carried the heavy ball with a chain like it was nothing was UNBELIEVABLE!
Super happy to see my favorite show Viking on here, it doesn't get enough love. The format is a little different than watchmojo described though - 100 competitors or up to 90 teams (they had several seasons where partners ran the course together) compete on a 3-7 stage course (not always 4) The course gets a lot weirder than Sasuke and Ninja does, but all the footage Watchmojo used was from the least interesting season.
If Ninja Warrior wasn't #1, the list would've been fraudulent. Part of my childhood and beyond Fun fact: Two WWE NXT wrestlers competed on American Ninja Warrior. Kayden Carter and Kacy Catanzaro
American Ninja Warrior is definitely the most inspirational game show I've seen, but I love Wipeout so much! The comedy, the obstacles, the people! It's an all time classic and it's just fun to watch!
The best obstacle course shows are Ultimate Beastmaster because it's the hardest and toughest and most demanding obstical course ever and it also brings international nations to compete as one. The second best obstacle course is Whipeout because it's funny to see people get pummeled over and over again. I can't wait for season 4 of Ultimate Beastmaster and Ultimate Beastmaster should've been number 1 and I can't wait for the Whipeout reboot.
I don't know if it's just me, but I think the English version of Takeshi's Castle with Craig Charles was better than Takeshi's Extreme Elimination Challenge because Craig Charles was just a brilliant commentator than the American version
So awesome to see Double Dare and MXC (Takeshi's Castle) on this list. And super awesome to see Ninja Warrior on there. That show, along with X-Play & Attack of the Show helped put G4TV on the map. 😁
I can't take serious any list that puts "The Floor is Lava" ahead of 'Double Dare." Respect your elders, Mojo. None of these other shows would exist without Double Dare.
American Ninja Warrior, hands down. I've taken a break from following the show during the Pandemic because I just didn't enjoy the setup last year and it seems to be somewhat similar this year, but as soon as the show gets back to normal, I'll be there. American Wipe Out was also amazing thanks to its budget. We had a Swedish attempt at making the show, but it had horribly bad obstacles and repetitive setups.
Hyperdrive could've been top 5 if it wasn't for just having one season. It's the only "non-person" obstacle course on this list. It takes mechanical smarts and driving skills to at least compete well.
Although I'm mostly happy with the list Takeshi's castle should have been number one. It is what inspired most of the other shows and literally was my late 2000s childhood. Come home at 2pm, and then watch Pokemon, Yu-Gi-Oh, One Piece and Naruto to finally crown the afternoon with Takeshi's castle before heading off to Taekwondo lessons. I miss it
Wipeout will always be the greatest I never liked The Floor is Lava. I remember watching one episode and immediately disliked it. The people on the show or way too overly dramatic, which I'm not sure is on purpose or not but it feels so forth that it's too ridiculous to even watch
Double Dare made the list but Guts doesn't even get an honorable mention. I mean literally the finale of the show and the symbol of it is the giant mountain you have to climb and obstacle course. Also what about Legends of the hidden temple how the heck did that not make the list? Seriously guys list is kind of bullshit. Somehow Double Dare makes the least deserving of all the nickoloden shows.
Me: "MOST EXTREME ELIMINATION CHALLENGE!!!!!!!!!!!!" Vic Romano: "I think you might be right, Kenny!!" Also, how is American Gladiators and Legends of the Hidden Temple not on this list?
I’m pretty sure we all knew that the Ninja Warrior Franchise was going to be number one. It’s so big that like Wipeout in 2010,it got a video game adaptation in 2019’s American Ninja Warrior Challenge (but, we don’t talk about that one.)
Banzuke as an honourable mention? Are you mad? Sunday night used to double with Japanese Ninja Warrior and Unbeatable Banzuke and that was the best! 2 people died.
What, Gladiators not even a HM? I remember watching a lot of Japanese obstacle course game show when it first aired on cable. What I didn't realized is the Japanese Viking came before the Korean Viking...though I had only watched the Korean Viking for the celebrities that participated hahaha.

"Floor is Lava" is quite funny! because of the 'fails'!😂

How is Gladiators not even on the list? That shit made my childhood.
