    Nice video! A couple tips - you assembled the bolts backwards for attaching the tongue to the front axle. The nuts and large washers are supposed to go in the back. The bolt heads may dent the axle tube and make the tongue loose over time the way you assembled it.
    Also, there should be a black plastic boot cap at the bottom of the handle tube when assembled to avoid metal-on-metal rubbing between the handle and tongue. That will also eliminate the slop in the handle.

    I just got my 1200 lb cart, today, Christmas Eve, 2022. My box looked just like yours - a couple holes in it, no straps, my first impression of the tape was, someone opened the box and resealed it. I inspected closely for missing parts! Then, I inspected for damage. All I could find were a couple tiniest of scratches, that may or may not have been caused in transit. I had no straps inside, just some extra-long twist ties, similar to bread wrapper ties but heavier. Like yourself, I had it together in about 15 minutes. Like yourself, I was initially confused how the sides latched together. I'll echo Joefoley comment below, the bolts on the tongue should point to the rear, with the head of the bolt against the heavier metal of the tongue, and the washers spread the load of the nut over the thinner metal of the cross member. Nice video, I wish I had watched it BEFORE I put my cart together.

    I can't wait to get my 14k one; it'll haul more store stuff

    I think the black plastic cover on the toungue is a bushing. Also I think the gates are on backwards they should drop and hang perpendicular to the ground.

    Bought one similar from Tractor Supply. A year or so later the tires were shot. no biggie. But! The races on the wheel bearings had done rusted themselves to the axle stubs. A 3lb sledge and a can of penetrating oil later.....I had three rims that survived. And! The really great news is that the part (wheel/tire) is discontinued! And it is some goofy hub length that NOBODY makes!
    I bit the bullet and ordered 4 new tires/wheels from Tricam Industries (GroundWork). C-H-E-A-P tires! I fully suspect a dandelion will cause puncture!

    Thanks for the video. I bought the groundwork cart from tractor supply and it is similar to the one you reviewed and it broker on day 2 and the replacement broke in the store the same way. The metal pulled apart at the weld. This appears to be better manufactured. Any gripes or complaints after owning for a few months ( like adding washers or design flaws?) Thanks

    • @ACPro
      @ACPro  Před 3 lety

      Only thing I would like better is for the powder coat to be thicker. Metal is alittle thin but for normal yard work it is ok.

      I got tired of tripping over the tongue that wouldn't stay "up". I used a piece of 1-14" angle iron to extend the tongue out 8".

    Would this thing drive well through lose gravel similar to that found by the railroad tracks? I have a yard full of gravel that size and beed something that's good at hauling about 500 pound loads through the gravel.

    • @ACPro

      Loaded with 500.00 it would be hard to pull. If yoy pull it with at it would be ok but I couldn't imagine the tongue lasting long time.

    • @ACPro

    • @jeremybenson5782
      @jeremybenson5782 Před 2 lety +1

      @@ACPro I wonder if a John Deer poly trailer could be converted. I pick seaweed for a living, and make good enough money for myself. But it's not a lot. Kind of like working in a store at minimum. I'm thinking of ways of cutting the pickup out while I'm still young. Poly trailers are like 100 lbl, but they could handle it for sure. The one in the yard feels like 2lbls.

    I do not like the yoke steering it is inherently unstable, bring back the car type steering where the wheels stay under the four corners of the wagon where they belong. Engineering wise it seems like we are moving backwards.
