  • In this video, we take a look at the traditional skill of hedge laying in Ireland. Hedge laying is a centuries-old practice of trimming and shaping hedgerows to create a living fence. It is a valuable skill for anyone who owns a piece of land, as it helps to protect livestock, prevent erosion, and provide habitat for wildlife.

"DNA sampling of the hedge"? Is he talking about the *falsified* hypothesis that age correlates with number of species?

he almost certainly meant dendrochronology. Which is taking a core out of some of the stumps and counting the rings or, in the case of lumber or deadwood, graphing the distance between rings and comparing that graph to a graphed average of trees of a known age to back trace how old it was and in which year when it was cut down.
