The CTO (chief technology officer) role can be considered a good mixture of working with tech and with people. Some may refer to the CTO role as a technology officer or project manager with the goal of using technology and the tech team to reach business goals.
The CTO role includes lots of planning, product architecture, spotting tech trends, quality checks, mentorship, development, and much more.
Sometimes part of what a CTO does is also hands-on work if the team doesn't know how to solve a specific issue - so what a CTO does on a daily basis can differ.
