  • Back at the listed property in Kent, we begin to install the main pipe runs through the 1st floor. Carrying out the installation in copper we are aiming to keep the flow rate as best as possible by utilizing the pipe bender as much as possible.
    This was during the two hottest days on record which was horrific. How do you think we got on? #lovingplumbing #pipework #plumber #heating #plumbing #pipebending

      Thank you. It's been. Nice to put the bender to good use on this one. Luckily we can take our time with it on this one. Cheers

    Gorgeous pipework, we tend to notch slightly deeper than 30mm when using press fit though, has a habit of rubbing on the underside of floor boards when the fabric of the building expands. & yes the Part L changes for the lagging sucks, depending on the void at some point I foresee having to hole cut joists and using plastic just to get the depth of lagging they want in some areas.

      Hi. Thanks for the comment. Yeah I can see what you mean with the press fitting being close. With nail clips and lagging I think we will just about get away with it. If they start making us do plastic only I will put my tools down and stare into the abyss.

      I know we're lucky on this one. I did push for copper as it's a beautiful building and didn't want plastic ruining it.

    Wouldn't fancy piping up that lot with a small hand bender . Good job tho guys , always keep it neat and straight as possible.

    Nice pipework, but only question why not use MLCP Emmeti or Uponor? Just wondering how much you can save time and fitting with MLCP Press. But no doubt propa plumbing. 👌

      @loving-plumbing  Před 2 lety

      Hi. Thanks for the feedback. To be honest notching and copper for us is quicker then MLCP. I mainly use MLCP if I have long runs going underneath screed. MLCP at 25mm + is still really rigid and the fittings are bulky. Cheers.

    I am not sure about the future for copper with new part L ?
    22mm pipe, 9mm thick high performance lagging, total thickness 40mm plus 5mm clearance = 45mm. That cannot be taken out of a joist.
    I am not a great fan of plastic - vermin, restrictions through fittings etc.
    I guess for this job you are within the specification grace period ?
    Nice work, good to see pride and thoughtfullness in the industry.

      Thank you very much. Yes I'm not too sure either . The day they outlaw copper will be the day that I quit.

    Yh "that part L crap" is so annoying. Lagging pipes under floor boards seems pointless.......O wait I live in Wales haha
    Must say amaZing pipe bending there tho 😍

      Thank you. Hopefully zero times. I think they cheated and glued only around pipes 😂
