Dear God, I wish I could’ve seen Emilie perform live. So unfortunate she doesn’t do live shows anymore. Wish I could’ve been cheering in the audience in this video
I remember buying tickets to go see her first Asylum concert tour in London in '07, before she had the bigger budget of this tour. I had no clue who she even was or what to expect, I just thought "This chick looks like my kind of artist", and I really only knew one song off a goth compilation CD I'd gotten a year earlier (Shalott). I became enchanted with her entire oeuvre from that point on, to include her instrumental albums & movies. I loved the theatricality of her shows and always hoped that with Fight Like A Girl she'd get a movie musical of her own creation or at least a long form music video. Sadly it just seems she's faded into obscurity aside from the occasional posts on social media. She's truly an artist that I always felt had the potential to break through to mainstream, but perhaps her music is more of an acquired taste for those the appreciate true artistry and talent.

She’s in the process of writing the asylum musical now
She was working on turning her stage show into a full blown stage musical to debut in the West End in Londan, hence why she moved to New York, then she had surgery on her jaw where she had to have it wired shut for quite some time, then the pandemic hit. Plus working on the Devil's Carnival movies, her audio book, oracle cards, new merch. She's still out there.

I can't put into words how much I adore Emilie & her music. Also, I feel like 99.9% of people are at least a little gay for Veronica & I will never blame them for that because me, too.

Her vocals are so rough but she makes up for it in every other aspect; her visual aesthetic, her writing, her talent with instruments, she herself is truly an amazing person! 🌹💀🌹💖 shes a powerful and strong woman. Makes me look past her rough, raspy vocals. 👌 they are growing on me though.
personally i love her vocals they fit the tone her songs have. which is to say dark and gritty

+Lautaro Boasso I did. My source tracks from the line in where very overmodulated. I worked in this quite a lot when we filmed it, but not everything got uploaded then. So there might indeed be some smaller issues with audio, sorry for that.

I'm not quite sure what to make of this. Emilie is talented and quite good looking, no question. The show seems like a bonding ritual for females, I don't think this is made for me. And that is 100% OK. That was a strong teen fan base in the front row, lol.

Nah, four or five of my male friends are down with this. I'm male too and have been a fan on and off for over ten years. Nobody with an up to date understanding of social norms should give you trouble about enjoying this. Maybe folks in their late 30s and older but even then it's a stretch.

Why is the crowd screaming too loud? I can hardly hear her voice, it must have been much harder for the attendees. Poor folk, please do not do such noise in concerts/plays like this. It ruins the athmosphere.
Wanted to check this because it looked interesting, but it turned out to be rather underwhelming :/ Lots of missed opportunities here, I think. The performance has no direction, they're just aimlessly moving around for the most part. She's going for theatrics, but, paradoxically, there's not enough "theatre", it all goes nowhere and falls apart. The music is not my cup of tea either, but that's beside the point.
