Man what a great video, make me want hop a plane to Georgia right now. Seem like such wonderful people and food.
You should mate, you won't regret it.👍👍👍
I went to Georgia and only visited Tbilisi but the people when you chat to them are so warm. All the food is a delight and there are just not enough Georgian restaurants in England we need more Georgian people here.
Your epic Khachapuri journey made me crave it even more!
Hi Maruta,
Asa food lover I can honestly say that the journey was well worth it, and your comment made the video well worth it!👌
What a culinary adventure! Great idea to remove some dough. I must definitely try it at Retro next time.
Hi Arjen,
I trust you have been there before, next time order it without the dough, you wont regret it!!!
@@J.E.E I have not been at the Retro restaurant. But I will certainly check it. I was more into khinkali. There is a good restaurant north of the Pioneer park.
Justin thank You for Yr fascination with Slavic and middle east culture and cuisine
My absolute pleasure mate... it is a fascinating world we live in!

Broken pathments, just like here in England, home from home ..Remember last year having kACHAPURI in a Georgian Cafe in Warsaw last year...I think,Justin, you recommended that cafe.... happy eating and that lovely crunch.Retro seems a must
Andy, I cannot say it enough... Batumi is worth the visist even if only for the Khachapuri!!!
Another fun video as well as featuring some good food. Well done as always.
Thank you mate, so happy you are enjoying!
Another great video Justin! I will try and track down some khachapuri on my next trip to Krakow! 😋😋😋😋
There are some really good ones in Poland, and I have made a couple of videos in Warsaw about it, I have had an amazing one in Gdinya too and have seen a few places in Krakow!! But Adjara is a whole different story!
What a great idea to remove the middle dough to get a crispy crust, yummy... Enjoyed the video, gotta go to Batumi.
For sure mate. and make sure you tell Gia you came for Justin👍👌
Justin, The Khachapuri Ambassador. :D
Looks good brother. Cheers
It really is mate!!! If you get a chance you should try it!!!👍👌
I emigrated from Germany to Batumi. The four cheese Chachapuri in Retro is unbeatable. Give me a hint, when you'll be in Batumi next time. And you should try the Schawarma in the Grill House nearby Batumi Breweri. The best i've ever had. I really enjoy your videos from Batumi ❤
Another cool video Justin...!!! Greg
Thank you so much mate!
Instantly infected by the Silk Road Bug while I am watching this and sipping PG Tips tea. So inspiring. Cheers and love from Holland.

You wont regret it my friend, even if just for the Khachapuri
@@J.E.E yes for this i want to come all the way.😅
Khachapuri looks yummy 😋
It was amazing mate... Thanks for watching!! 👍
Looks VERY yummy, what was the cost, we know you got it as a PR, but us mortals must pay, thanks and keep up the great work
Hello mate,
The Khachapuri was about 5 euros but that is the small one and I think most would struggle to finish.
The large one is about 6 euros and i think too much for one person, but a good size to share
Wow looks amazing
It most certainly was, thanks for watching and commenting👌👍
Mniam mniam as always great video Justin thks

Khachapuri is also good food for hangovers
Hello Dan,
I think you are talking from experience😜
@@J.E.E 😁
These videos should be outlawed! What am I supposed to do sitting in the middle of Europe watching these mouthwatering khachapuris?!! 😂
😆😆😆 i am glad you enjoyed the video. The Khachapuri was amazing. Thank you so much for watching and commenting.
How much you paid for this delicious looking Kachapuri ???
Hello mate,
The Khachapuri was about 5 euros but that is the small one and that was a lot of food!!!
The large one is about 6 euros and i think too much for one person👌👍
I bet not many georgians can afford to pay this price for Khachapuri.
I was going to visit Gia's Khachapuri restaurant until the owner made that stupid comment regarding Armenians. Georgian toxicity and insecurity must always show everywhere lol. They get butthurt when an Armenian bakes khachapuri or khinkali...I wonder how many Italians get insecure about the whole world baking pizzas or the Japanese when they see other nationalities make sushi. No more Gia's khachapuri for this Armenian lol.
Hello Nelli,
I travel a lot and often come across some comments that could potentially offend, however I have learnt that in most cases people are not doing due to the fact that they have anything against a certain nationality or race and I have learnt to just let things slide.
Honestly I don't think he had any intention of being derogatory towards Armenians but simply takes pride in his national dish and takes it personally.
I did a video here in Latvia in an Italian restaurant owned by an Italian and he made a similar comment about pizzerias in Latvia.
I am sure the English would feel the same about their breakfast or fish an chips.
My lesson has been that people are emotional and sometimes say things, but if without bad intentions I don't let it affect me.
As for his Khachapuri, I can honestly say that it is a new level and perhaps try it!!!
All the best my friend and thank you for watching
@@J.E.Eank you for the comment. The reason why I wrote the comment is because I’ve heard similar comments from Georgians regarding other dishes of theirs, so it’s not the first time. I’m not sure what you meant by mentioning English breakfast along with fish and chips as I find both dishes yummy and the first thing I try when I land in Britain is your breakfast and your fish and chips. I find England perhaps to be #1 spot for me in my list of favorite countries and cities. London is just jaw dropping having similar feelings for your other cities although I’d love the chance to throughly visit England next time. We Armenians love your Caroline Cox….she’s been a true blessing and a friend to us in time of trouble from the Azeri attacks 30 years ago to the devastating earthquake and to the recent war with Azerbaijan. She’s been a huge support to this day and never abandoned us. ❤
Chill out it was a joke ffs 😅
people in other countries don't make pizzas and say that it Romanian national dish instead of Italian, Armenians will do that , @@J.E.E
