As painful as yondu’s death is, it’s also shows they will kill someone off when you least expect it. Plus that last scene with him is so powerful and memorable
absolutely and that’s scary 😟
@@TheOctobersReact You should do 'Serenity' if you haven't already, it's fantastic, and totally not recommending it because of the last comment.
@@mattc3581 that's a great movie
@@TheOctobersReact serenity is definitely a movie I'd also recommend I would just make sure it's the 2005 serenity movie based off the show firefly (you dont need to see the show to enjoy the movie, ive never seen the show but i love the movie) and not the 2019 one with Matthew McConaughey lol two completely different movies and the 2019 movie is boring and weird.
Shit James Gunn killed a lot of people i wasn’t expecting to die in The Suicide Squad💀
Yeah in the MCU sometimes you gotta accept that a character is gone even tho it’s difficult no spoiling but you guys aren’t done mourning good luck in the future been loving your MCU reaction since day 1
😟😟😟😟😟 say it ain’t so!
@@TheOctobersReactlook for Agents of Shield, it deals with people with no powers and is Canon with movies starting after Ironman 3
@@joshc7123 It's definitely not canon, except possibly the first season. Kevin Feige stated this officially. There are no Inhumans in MCU.
@@knighthawk3749 Mr October didn't say he was looking for inhumans, he was asking if there was any content that delt with people that didn't have powers but had to deal with people with powers
@@joshc7123 You said it was canon and it is not. Inhumans was just an example of the item that makes it non-canon in MCU.
Of all the separate franchises within the MCU, the Guardians are probably the best and most complete series of films. They’re hilarious, they’ve got plenty of action, and they’ve got tons of heart. Just so entertaining from top to bottom and each film delivers.
yes we can’t agree with this more ! so so good and great energy throughout
When a character is taken from us and we feel real grief, that's a sure sign the performance and writing worked. Gunn is famous for this. Making you laugh one moment and tearing your heart out the next.
absolutely an amazing job!
New Groot is the old Groot's son. This movie is only a few months after the first one, so it still takes place in 2014.
56:29 I'm not kidding, everytime I hear and see this scene I get goosebumps/chills across my whole body
59:50 also the 'WHERES QUILL?' shows everyone they are indeed one big family❤
It made me so happy to hear you mention Jack Kirby. I love Stan, like everybody else, but there were many other talented people who made his ideas come to life. They deserve more credit. :)
i see so many comments about how great he is, so yes we must give him his credit!
Steve Ditko needs to get props as well! He helped design Spider Man, came up with the red and yellow theme for Iron Man, came up with costumes and entire villains, and helped flesh out early ideas for several of the most popular characters. Also created DR. Strange. I could go on for a while. Kirby and Ditko need more recognition 👍
Quill's father is an old Celestial. Pratt was the first to recommend to Gunn that Russell be considered for the role; he plays an avatar of Ego who is more commonly seen in comic books in his "Living Planet" form. After viewing Pratt's performance in the first film, Russell saw why he was chosen for the role, saying, "That's my kinda guy." "I know where that sort of blunder comes from." "I bring the right things [from previous roles]," he continued."I connected the dots from some of my previous actions." Ego takes the place of Quill's original comic father, J'son. Ego the Living Planet: First appearance Cameo appearance: The Mighty Thor #132 (September 1966) Full appearance: The Mighty Thor #133 (October 1966) Created by Stan Lee and Jack Kirby.
I'm pretty sure it's not a spoiler to say any character in the MCU can die. That's how Feige wants you to feel going in to every movie. If you feel bad that one of them goes then I guess that means they did a good job developing that character.
I live for your MCU reactions!
I burst out laughing when I saw your reaction to Groot with the thumb.
It is such an amazing experience watching people who are new to the MCU become huge fans.
Keep up the great work!
thanks so much this comment was so kind 😊 we appreciate you
@@TheOctobersReactyou should pin it
Copyright was very stingy with this one! Sorry if some parts are missing or choppy... i always do my best to capture the art the best i can, sometimes not as well as I originally planned. This movie was pretty amazing, enjoy! Love you Guys!
These James Gunn movies are incredibly difficult to edit because of all the music.
Thanks for your hard work.
And remember to watch the Christmas special one first before GotG vol.3 so some info won't be confusing.
The next Guardians Special a must see before Guardians 3 when you get there is the Guardians of the Galaxy Christmas Special. Remember Starlord is from Earth after and as a child of course he would remember Christmas, Right. It is Amazing.
You didn't include any clips of the Lakeshore Drive song, Unforgivable.
@@MattPerk7 Copyright issues.
I really love this movie. This movie really focuses on the emotional bonds of family and how much everyone needs each other. Every single character here is amazing. One of my personal favorites from the MCU.
love the family theme in it !
We didn’t have Yondu for that long but his death shook the entire fanbase. One of the saddest but greatest deaths scenes every filmed. 😢
Great reaction guys!!! Part 3 is sooo good. You will love it. I think it's my favorite of the three. Looking forward to the next one!
we have heard it’s possibly the best which is so hard to believe bc how much better can it get
@@TheOctobersReact Somehow, it does it :)
I LOVE that you quote my favorite line from Guardians of the Galaxy. I've abused Yondu's line with my kid over the years every time he's gotten in trouble. "When you were first born my dog wanted to eat you. He ain't never tasted Terran before" 😂 😂 My kid still has no idea what I'm talking about when I say that line.
hahahaha yes i love that so much
Also as far as one liners go to have stuck in your head, Kraglin saying "Captain's gotta teach stuff!" For some reason is the funniest one liner for me lol
we like “i didn’t mean to do a mutiny” lol
Stalone's team were the original Guardians of the galaxy in the comics
“I’m Mary Poppins y’all!” Is one of my absolute favorite lines in the entire freaking MCU! 😂 I mean like seriously tho…I don’t think that I’ve ever laughed that hard in a movie theater in my damn life, I couldn’t even see for a solid 5 mins because I had sooo many tears in my eyes ffs! Idk why it’s so freaking hilarious to me…but it still gets me even after seeing it 5 times all the way thru + watching at least 15-20 reactions to it and still, it made me laugh here! But I’m glad to see that it’s not just me…and you guys thought it was hilarious too my dudes❣️😅😉👍
This is a super rare trilogy where each film is better than the previous: i know y'all are sad about Yondu, but don't worry, volume three is a MASTERPIECE.
If you don't know who David Hasselhoff is you didnt get the joke about him having a talking car and fighting crime. It was a tv show starring "The Hoff" called Knight Rider. A great show indeed. He also starred in the tv show Baywatch, also awesome lol.
Guardian of The Galaxy Vol 2 very Good and Third it's Masterpiece with Guardian of The Galaxy Vol 1
"I'm Mary Poppins, Y'All" there is your quote.
Guardian of The Galaxy have Heart and Soul
Yes this is a different Groot
David Hasselhoff - "WHO IS THAT??".Best commentary ever!
Hasselhoff is a famous tv-actor - especially known for "KNIGHT RIDER" and "BAYWATCH", wich had great succes in the 80s.
Oh...and he once played NICK FURY in a Marvel-tv movie!
Trivia: Groot from GotG 1 has really died and Baby Groot is actually a new one. Hope that answers the 3:36
At 1:06:15 They're the original Guardian of the Galaxy according to the comics. But in the MCU you'll know them as the Ravegers.
In the comic, Adam or Adam Warlock is supposed to be the one with the Infinity stone instead or Vision. Like i said in the previous that it was Pym who made Ultron and in turn made Vision. The were no Infinity Stone involved. So worried not. What ever I've said i not a spoiler for the MCU since they change some lore and stuff other than the core of the story.
Imagine Grood voice actor Vin Diesel keep repeating "I am Groot" again and again so many times even though he could just record just enough for the movie and call it a day. He's dedicated i give him that.
Stan Lee was hinted to be "The Watcher" just like those blue dudes. But who knows?
thanks for that info i really love those fun facts 😊
@TheOctobersReact you see more of the watcher in the what if animated series.
There aren't any Marvel shows that are based around just the human civilian perspective. Closest thing to that is Agents of Shield they view the world from a secret government agency point of view but they still deal with super heros and villains. I do highly recommend that show it's one of the few shows ever that gets better each season and sticks the finale
The actor who plays Peter's dad Is my dude Kurt Russell who's married to actress Goldie Hawn and his son Wyatt named after Wyatt Earp plays a main character in a Disney plus tv show
I really love your reactions, it really is cool and warmth me up when I see reactions that is so genuine and not just for views, like they really is watching it properly. great job guys.
we really appreciate you! your comment means a lot! thank you so much
The actress who played Peter's mom is actually British and she also did a transformer movie
Baby Groot here is confirmed to be the original Groot's son. The Groot we know from the first movie is unfortunately gone but he will live on in his son... Groot
The father/son catch sequence always gets me. FYI-Kirt Russel, after his childhood movie success, wanted to play pro baseball like his Dad. He played in the minors for several years as a second baseman. But he injured his throwing arm rotator cuff while playing for the Portland(OR) Mavericks which ended his pro career. He then went back to acting and the rest is history. He played Elvis(pretty good in the 1979 made for TV movie “Elvis”) and of course Santa Claus (who also gave off a little Elvis vibe) in the movie “The Christmas Chronicles”. Cheers
I don't think I have ever seen Mrs. October laughing so hard as when Mantis was trying to introduce herself to Drax.
And yeah, the unexpected death of Yondu just killed me. Then the song at his funeral. So sad! I had to listen to that about a dozen times on YT after I saw this movie.
Perfect upload on my Bday❣️❣️❣️ #LibraLove⚖️💜
My husband and I are both October babies… both Libras!!
We enjoy your channel!! ✌🏾💜
👏Hey, "Happy Birthday!"
@@tomhoffman4330 Preciate it!! ✌🏾💜
Yeah, This Groot is an entirely new being
David Hasselhoff played Michael Knight on, "Knight Rider". He rode around in a computerized car that talked named, Kit. David later was on the show, "Bay Watch".
Jack Kirby was the Marvel illustrator and Stan Lee was the writer.
Stan Lee was on that rock with a race known as the Watchers. They watch over the universe with a vow to never interfere.
Wait until you see volume 3, it's the best of the series. ✌️
That's "K.I.T.T."👌
@@tomhoffman4330 my bad. ✌️
I always wondered why Knight Rider was called Knight Rider. The cars' name was KITT, and no one rode Michael Knight...
@@quintorro K.I.T.T. = Knight Industries Two Thousand, Also Michael Knight was his alias he adopted after the pilot episode. The characters real name was Michael Long.
The song that Quill played for Yondu, Father and Son, by Kat Steven's
I played for my grandfather at his funeral
Guardians 3 is absolutely the best of the Guardians movies!
I'm Mary Poppins y'all.
The best line ever.
Ya'll, I cried like a BABY at the end.
Rocket is the best.
Michael Rooker, Yondu,is from Alabama. Roll Tide.
Up next:Spiderman.
The MCU web grows bigger.
Good to see Mushu.
Later ya'll.
"I hope this one has a quote as good as that"
Me: *Hell yeah he's cool*
yessss the mary poppins quote was the best
@TheOctobersReact " I'm mary poppins ,yall,"😂😅😅😂
3:17 Groot won't dance in front of Drax because he knows that Drax isn't a dancer. He's a highly empathetic being and wants the people he loves to always feel seen.
3:52 you're bang on, friend. This is a completely new Groot. The one we got to know in the first Guardians films did in fact give his life to save the rest of the team.
Yondu does use the red thing on his head to control the arrow, its like a Bluetooth.
Just for story purpose he says he uses his heart.... but practically speaking he does use his mind and the red thing on this head.
it’s so funny when he tells groot you know that little thing i wear on my head lol
Kurt Russell(Ego) actually was a used car salesman in the movie "Used Cars". React to that please...it's hilarious.
Yes! But also, "Overboard" with Goldie Hawn. Both movies will have you Rolling! 🤣🤣🤣
Note: Kurt Russell and Goldie Hawn are probably the only "Happily" married couple in Hollywood. Making Overboard an absolute "Must React."
@@texasgunslinger8060love that movie 😂😅overboard
It's spooky season, it's Kurt Russel; it's "The Thing".
@@johnniequinn3215I'm not watching that again
Atlanta has a lot of film studios and that's where Marvel does a lot of their filming. I don't think it was out and about in Atlanta, just in studio.
lol we are gonna have to take a trip next time and try and be an extra
Michael Rooker (Yondu) is a veteran actor with many roles before and since GotG2. He is also 68 and sometimes a storyline can be built to allow them to move on from a recurring role. You saw the early actor changes in Rhodey and Bruce Banner too for professional reasons.
“We’re the October’s and also I’M MARY POPPINS YA’ll!” Is what I’m expecting next after that intro. 👀
“I’m Mary Poppins y’all !” That’s your new quote to start staying all the time 😂
hahaha 😝 yes it is
As far as my research can tell, In the comics the only Marvel character from Georgia is "Mocking Bird".
But they put her in the show "Agents of Shield" without her accent, and i don't remember them ever mentioning Georgia.
In the comics, there were 2 main versions of the guardians of the Galaxy, the one with Peter quill and rocket are the second generation, the first 1 included yondu, and all of the characters that you saw in the after credit scene. In the MCU, they must have split up after their time as the guardians and led different factions of the ravagers
Yondu was so underrated, absolutely love his character. My fav line of any marvel movie, I’m Merry Poppins y’all! That shit was crazy in the movie theater when he said that. R.I.p. to a real one!
Nope you're absolutely right about Groot, it's a different character, the first one is completely dead
Someone needs to prep you when to have tissues on hand :) What's important is that Yondu's death was not meaningless. It is a strong moment for both Peter and Yondu. Although his character is fun, i cannot say i would be good to reverse it. Doesn't always have to be a happy ending. And don't forget about them tissues, you'll need them ;D
Especially going forward 😢
okay will bring tissues forever ! thanks you guys 😊
Yondus death always gets me. I've watched it 1,000 times and it still gets me.
I'm only 20 seconds in and I really hope the new line you take away is "I'm Mary Poppins y'all!"
hahaha we love it too! it’s pretty good!
The 2nd post credit scene is a callback to the original Guardians of The Galaxy team in the comic books
ahh this was amazing only three movies away until avengers infinity war next up spider man homecoming
They gonna be crying when they see avengers infinity war
3:51 Pretty much. You could say that baby Groot is the son of Groot.
I bawl every time Yondu's boy beats his chest at the funeral ❤ I just can't keep it together when that happens
Used Cars was a 1980 movie starring Kurt Russell (Ego). Kurt started as a Dinsey actor in the 60's.
Michael Rooker is a repeat offender in James Gunn movies. He's quite the character in real life. Yondu had such great growth in the movies. He is the perfect rogue. His arrow is called Yaka Arrow. At this point the most powerful moment in the MCU is Yondu's death.
Great thing about the actors in this movie is how even the bit part actors and those just in the background have a purpose. They are all acting and not standing around. That is a credit to the actors and to James Gunn as a director.
Nebula's growth in this movie is really strong. Considering she seemed like an after though from the first movie, she really grew in this one.
Stallone is proves he still has it when he confronts Yondu. Powerful delivery.
I promise you the 3rd movie is the best one. Make sure you have your tissues ready when you get to it.
Agents of shield tv series you get a point of view of regular and it's a great show.
Stooppp, I’m crying with you now
Love your reactions
🥲✌
thanks you guys 😊 we appreciate you
October second , the Octobers posting in October
33:15 that was hilarious 🤣🤣.. Don't let Peter Quill here you say that. Yondu's weapon is called a Yaka arrow. And yeah, that fin is for controlling the arrow.
Be patient my friend and wait till the third Guardian
Loved the reaction. Can't wait to see your reaction for the 3rd volume. If you felt emotional during Volume 2, the final one will rip your hearts out!
Kraglen the one with the arrow at the end is james gunns brother
Thank you for another great video reaction! You’re doing great with the editing! I glad you’re enjoying your Marvel journey.. peace.. ✌️😉👍💕
First his mom, then both of his dads in the same day. Peter hides how much he's still that sensetive little boy with alot of "fake it till you make it " bravado And these losses add up and hurt him. It's a theme in his life story.
Groot messing with Drax is so funny 😅
Your reactions are great, I just subscribed.
Greetings from Sweden!
I am the oddball. This is my favorite Guardians movie. All are great, but I love everything about this one. Drax KILLS me. We get Mantas here. Yondu brought tears. Ravenger funeral...makes me bawl.
The end of this film is hard. I've seen this film countless times and I still cry at the end.
WHOOOO HOOOOOO!!! Loving the Continuation on this journey!
BTW I'm gonna keep commenting positive vibes on these reacts y'all do
I’m a VFX artist and I worked on this one! I created a lot of the large environments on Ego and worked on a bunch of Rocket and Groot stuff in the tunnels.
I can’t wait for you guys to watch the next one! IMHO, it’s one of the best Marvel movies, period.
you’re so awesome ! and honestly you did an incredible job. that’s so cool that you watched this 😊
Yeah losing Yondu hurts a lot, but the Guardians just keep getting better! Hang in there.
Love coming on CZcams and seeing you uploaded “2 minutes ago”😂😂😂 getting so close to the main event💪🏼
At the end you didn't realize that Peter understood what teenage Groot was saying, not everyone can do that.
we did notice lol
You guys are the best!
Looking forward to the next one. Have a great day! 🙂
Guardian of Galaxy Vol 3 very well Conclusion !!!!
Now we know why Peter was always getting into fights as a child, I mean he carried around a picture of David Hasselhoff for crying out loud😅
@3:41 You are correct. James Gunn confirmed it.
20:40, 20:45, 20:54, 27:02-27:17, 33:56, 48:50, 59:22 lol hahahahahahaha!!!!!!
The first movie was about forming this family. This movie is about keeping that family together. That’s why The Chain by Fleetwood Mac is so significant for this group.
What I loved the most about this movie was the character development. We got to know a whole different side of Nebula, and it allowed her and Gamora to heal and bond.
I also liked how Gamora developed a motherly instinct towards Baby Groot.
Yondu had a reality check with Rocket. The two of them had more in common than they wanted to admit. Also, Yondu was a total badass. He impacted Peter’s life for the better by telling him to use his heart.
Kraglin also got some development. He felt jealous that Yondu had favoritism towards Peter, but when the two of them bonded during Yondu’s funeral that jealousy dissipated.
A ton of Marvel movies have been filmed outside of Atlanta at Pinewood Studios, now known as Trilith Studios.
Great reaction vid! GotG is my favorite trilogy in the MCU. I can't wait for you to see the 3rd installment.
Yandu's death its necesary for the development of Peter.
Peter was the guy who always was looking to be a legend like the legends that he knew in the TV, a legend like David Hasselfof and dream about having a father like David Hasselfof. He didnt realize that a real father figure is someone who protect him and cares about him like Yondu.
With Yondu's lost Peter finally could grown up
Sylvester Stalone's Ravegers group is actually the 'original' Guardian's of the Galaxy in the comic books.. the original team. :)
Another great reaction. I can tell yall really enjoyed this one. This movie was very good. You are going to be amazed at the way it connects.
@6:12 You say that Ego sounds like a used car salesman. As a bit of trivia, the actor Kurt Russell starred in a movie called Used Cars (1980) which is an absurd black comedy about used cars salesman in a sales war.
There is no shows about "normal" people, but there are a few shows on Netflix about low street level heroes like Daredevil. They are not canon to the movies though, but they still take place in exact similar universe.
Title sequence:
Trees generally do not reproduce asexually. There are male and female parts. But in the case of Baby Groot, he would be closer to what is called growing a new plant from a cutting. A number of plants can be propagated by cutting a piece off, planting it in appropriate soil and seeing to its needs, as long as the plant is alive at the time.
56:40-56:45 It's not quite from the point of view of "normal people" entirely, but there is Agents of SHIELD. It starts within weeks of the Battle of New York (Avengers) and most of the time it is based more on "human level" with some tie-ins to the MCU.
There are plenty of tv series’ like Marvels Agents of Shield, Luke Cage, Jessica Jones, Iron Fist, The Defenders, Daredevil, and others that mention moments through the movies and how the effect the regular folks. It’s a lot to watch mind you! Keep it up guys you’re both great, love the chemistry ❤
1:10:04 Zune was not pre-iPod. It was Microsoft's failed attempt at an iPod competitor, and was released around 5 years after the first iPod.
dang i always thought it came before
There's a show called Agents of Shield, where it's a team from shield, so it's not quite civilians or anything but it kinda shows the smaller scale stuff in Marvel.
DC Comics had a TV show called Powerless, about that, civilians who lived in the DC universe, I think they worked at Wayne Industries (Batmans company) and they just basically lived as normal people with super-powered people in the background.
It ran for maybe 2 seasons? It had Vanessa Hugens and Adam West who previously played Batman in the 60's
I like how he answered the question that many people thought about for many years before they found out the answer later in the next movie
Before you watch the next guardians 3 movie you have to watch their christmas special but when the time comes
40:33 indeed.. showcases how strong Gamora really is.. 😊🎉
I can't wait to watch your reaction to The Guardian of the galaxy Vol.3 but Ik it's still long journey for you guys. Love your reaction as always❤
i’m sure we will be there before you know it 😊 thanks for watching 😊
David Hasselhoff you know KITT!!
Y'all have officially just became my favorite movie reaction channel. Love the emotions you two share with us,
we appreciate you so much! thank you for the kind words
In the comics Yondu was an original Guardian of the Galaxy. Those Ravagers you saw at the end were a take on his old team. I'm not sure any of them are actual characters from the comic team though. The reboot of the team in the comics had the Guardians from the movies, Star Lord, Groot, etc.
Yes I love you guys keep it up🔥
I love your MCU Mondays! I have watched everyone of them. I love reaction channels and you two easily have the best one. Keep up the great work.
thanks michael 😬 we appreciate that so much
