Just tested the farm after the latest update. it still works & by putting the rooted dirt on the Jungle farm & could grow all trees
Thank you for this
Oh that’s awesome, love to hear it!
Getting it to work for oak is huge! Well done!
Great job Indy. Very informative. I like how you took the time to explain each circuit and what it's doing. Well done
Thank you good sir!
Enjoyed the video. Great job in editing and being clear about the entire process. Will be making this tree farm.
Thank you! Check out my ghast blaster next for harvesting the logs :p
Just built this in my survival realm and I can confirm, it's a beast. Works super well. I found that you can grow birch, oak and spruce with the dirt and slab setup. The only change I need to do is the three extra dirt layers for jungle. Awesome job Indy!! 👏
You’ve got my subscription. I stumbled upon your tour video of this masterpiece in your world about 30 mins ago and hoped your tutorial would come out soon. Lo and behold, it was already done and ready! I will be enjoying a glass of bourbon while I’m building this tonight. Thanks my dude and cheers! 🥃🤙🏼
Welcome aboard! Glad to have you, and might I say, excellent choice in beverage! XD
@@Indyfficient Respect 👊🏼
First off i enjoyed your tutorial, thank you.
I found you through RavinMadHatter's video & Structura Lab.
I am glad you showed the game still thinks the visual log is a sapling.
Will definitely be using this farm.
my personal preferences when watching a tutorial.
I like to see the full height of the build including the under floor blocks.
I like to see the underside circuit's free of surrounding blocks.
Incredible tutoral and top notch editing. Honestly this is s phenomenal tutorial for an absolutely amazing farm. Its actually kind of mind blowing how you took something complex and explained it in such a way that the layman could actually understand. Keep upnthe awesome work chief!
Thank you my friend!!!
You're an absolute legend. I built two of silentwispers builds and although I love him and his builds are usually great, I couldn't get either of them to work after hours of frustration.
Then I tried this one, took maybe 40min and works like a charm. Cant thank you enough 🙏❤
Love to hear it!! Many more tutorials to come, just getting started :)
@@Indyfficient looking forward to it!
I do actually have one question- at the place where the pistons push it from vertical to horizontal, im finding I get a second row of logs occasionally being pushed out with it because further back a single dirt block has somehow got itself swapped with a log (and because of that, obviously, it pushes the second row out about 3 blocks then the farm breaks). It's the row of pistons in the middle and it seems to push its row of logs into the... horizontal...izer with two pulses instead of just one.
I'm just wondering if you might have come across this issue and if so, how to fix it? If not it's no big deal, I'll just go through the video again and make sure I did it all correctly 😁
@@Loctorak put the repeater on three ticks coming off of the hopper clock to 4 ticks, had that issue myself just recently on my realm extra tick of delay there solved it
@@Indyfficient OK so I went down a bit of a rabbit hole because changing the repeater ticks didn't seem to fix my problem, but then there are several reasons that might have been the case varying from me making a mistake in building to there being a chunk border somewhere that was causing issues. In any case, what I've decided to do instead (since we want to use this as a self sustainable afk generator), is I've got a little redstone setup that splits the output into 3 separate lines that each end up getting their own piston wall. It's less convenient for harvesting, but it triples the time I can potentially leave it running for. Still in the last stages of development, and fitting it together with a moss/bonemeal unit in such a way that it could be tiled in a 2x2 array is going to take some time, but for the first time I can see a light at the end of the tunnel 😅
Anyway thanks again for the tutorial and your assistance! If you want to see the finished product I end up with when my plans are all finished, let me know! :D
Same here, lmao.
Loved that intro animation, and great editing overall!
Thank you so much!!
Great farm. Have it linked up to your ghast blaster. Works a treat. Thank you!!
Love to hear it!
This is crazy!!! good job!!
Thank you good sir!
Love it!! *Juliee watched Indy do Redstone*
And Indy appreciates it! Lol
I will be building this on a video, (not tutorial, purely as part of an smp video) but will provide full credit, and a link to your channel and this video. Thanks for this beauty!
That’s awesome to hear!! Looking forward to checking it out!
There's tiers to the Redstone game, and my tier is the one that stops at comparators. Great video.
Just subscribed. Awsome Farm .. works on PS4 Bedrock 1.20.62 ... Calm Voice ... Good Tutorial ... Please Please make more :)
My new favourite farm! ❤❤❤
Im your 80th subscriber. Great video. You should have so many more subs figuring silentwisperer showed off your creation
Thank you so much!
Just completed construction and it is still functional in bedrock at the time of this comment. I also adjusted the cuber to reduce the observer cost from twenty to one. This is the absolute best thank you so much for sharing this wood farm!!!
That's great, love to hear it!!
@@Indyfficient You are the best! Thank you!
Nice work, i love the idea of fully AFK wood. it is the most important resource in minecraft.
FYI, would be a perfect thing to post on structura lab, makes the counting easier.
BTW Your editing is super clean, Nice work.
It’s funny you mention structura, I did in fact use it here for counting the materials lol but I’ve got it locally installed, haven’t tried the bot yet. Thank you so much by the way!
@@Indyfficient let me know if you post it there. I would be Happy to do a show case of some sort to try and send people your way.
@@MaddHatter that would be a literal dream! I’ll post it there tomorrow for sure! Thank you!
@@MaddHatter just uploaded to structura Lab, that tool is very cool by the way! I'm used to the local version but that's amazing, thank you for creating it my friend!!
@@Indyfficient thanks you put together a nice tutorial and i definitely remember my first few videos, the were definitely not this good
I don't even know how this video came up in my feed I was looking for a completely different farm. And now I'm hooked. I've watched this video probably three or four times now because each time I watch it I'm learning something new. Hopper circuits? Wtf? Lol But I love it. You're not assuming that we're all Minecraft experts You're not talking down to us like we're simpletons but you're explaining everything in a way that we can follow. I literally got out a notebook and pen to take notes because I was learning from this 😂
That’s amazing to hear! Thank you! Hope you enjoy all the content to come!
Found you from Maddhatter!
Amazing farm indy
Hello. That's a nice tutorial. I enjoyed seeing your redstone circuitry in a few different areas of the farm. And, I'm glad that you explained at the end the mechanic (or glitch in the game) that you were taking advantage of. I've been out of Minecraft for over a year and didn't know about the sapling/log block confusion the game currently has. Question : why do you think rooted dirt makes a difference to tree growth compared to regular dirt? At least as far as the oaks are concerned?
Keep up the good work. 👍
Only thing that makes sense to me is that the game code related to azaleas. Oak trees can replace dirt (branches of the large trees will replace dirt) however azalea trees cannot. My guess is that the game is checking the block under the sapling to see if it’s allowed to replace blocks or not. Purely speculation but yeah. Also, check out the other comments, removing the slab and just doing the 8 tall dirt apparently works better than I’ve shown here
Another banger...... Im here for your rise.
Appreciate that!!
I love this concept. Would this dirt suppression of leaves also be possible with the large variant of jungle tree?
That’s a very interesting thought, I’ll give it a test tomorrow if you already haven’t lol
A question for the difference in dirt heights depending on the sapling - I'm planning on building one module and switching out the sapling depending what wood I need at that time.. if I were to build the dirt enclosure to the max height (jungle wood - 8 tall) will it not work for any other sapling or could I in theory make it universal? Thank you for you time
Just go the full 8 tall and put rooted dirt, I've since found out the slab isn't needed for the oak, just the rooted dirt, so the full size with the rooted dirt preps you to use the one farm for all 4 saplings :)
@Indyfficient I ended up building it yesterday to find out and you're right - works a treat on all 4 with the 8 high version!! Now to hook it up to your Ghast Blaster 😎 thank you for the great tutorial! Subscribed
Just built this in my survival world. It still works, and amazingly at that! I did end up with one extra observer and one less dust than i needed for the tree part of it. Im living in a snowey biome. Does snow buildup affect it? Would i need to cover the top or anything?
snow shouldn't effect anything, but let me know if it does for sure! lol
@Indyfficient no problem whatsoever! Thank you! 10/10 farm! Would build again! (As long as it stays working of course!)
After a bit of running the pistons that push the logs towards the vube maker, only the top one pushes and the bottom two do not despite the observers observing the other pistons
That may be a chunk border issue

Thank you so much for the support!!
Can't seem to get it to work for oak with your setup. I've built farms with this mechanic a few times. I ended up building to the 8 high and it worked for oak. The slab was blocking it for some reason
It’s funny, I had the slab there early on and after finding the rooted dirt was the solution I never thought to check it without the slab but you’re the second person to say this now, thank you for testing and commenting! I wonder if/how much that improves the bonemeal rates/growth chances, I’ll have to test that out.
@@Indyfficient I got 1150 per hour of oak from my tests
@@Acadewolf dude!! That’s amazing! And pretty much in line with azalea farms but so much easier, thank you for updating!
@@IndyfficientI've got a much faster oak farm that I designed, but it requires an autoclicker. Playerless is so much better. Thanks for figuring it out!
Great job. Fee questions though is this a bedrock farm?
What makes it think that the log is a saplin?
Can you use it with all trees?
yes this is for Bedrock only so far as I know. As to what makes the game do that I am unsure, all I know is that it has to be dirt that suppresses the leaves from growing, if all leaves are suppressed then the bottom log turns back into a sapling, almost like the game thinks it failed to grow the tree perhaps.
@Indyfficient strange I use the dirt mechanic on my Rooted dirt farm so I only have one log with each dirt. But have to keep waiting for new saplins to appear. Will have to try and work out the trick to it
I tried it did some testing and found a major problem when it comes to turning the farm on and off, because it will actually mess up the sequence of the farm and grab the wood instead of the dirt and it would accidentally grab the dirt in the wood section
I’d be interested to see how you came to that conclusion. I’ve run this design for a total of 20 hours between my survival world and testing in creative without a single issue.
Do you mean spamming it on and off? Even that wouldn’t cause any issues, hopper clocks will finish their cycles and all will be well. Open to the idea it’s possible but I don’t see how
Finnaly I manage to find a tree farm that's not like silent whisperer insane tree farm💀 but I did manage to find this on one of his video
You also deserve 1m subscriber👍
Glad you like it! And thank you for the support, you’re officially my 100th subscriber!
Could you upload a tutorial on a concrete wetting machine please?🙏🙏
Absolutely, I’ve got a neat little design I use for mud and concrete, I shall prioritize :)
does this work in java?
Sadly I do not believe so, one of those rare bugrock ftw moments lol
Surely this can't work in surival because of the command blocks? Still want trophies ya see
Lol I didn’t wanna scare people with the ghast blaster just yet 😏gotta real em in first 😆
whaaa the game thinks logs r sapplings?
Yup... its an odd one lol but its an old one too, been around since 1.16 or earlier, and hopefully they never see my little channel and fix it XD lol
Bro is doesn't work 1.20.4
It sure does, I’m afk at this farm on my realm at this very moment and all is working fine. I’d be happy to help you troubleshoot, what seems to be happening?
