    The Overall QUALITY of Valaverse has significantly taken a nosedive and hopefully that changes quickly! It would be an absolute shame to have to stop collecting this very much needed line.
    URGE and IMPLORE YOU to WATCH this VIDEO in its ENTIRETY, BEFORE COMMENTING!!!
    -Otherwise it will be obvious…Looking forward to hearing the community’s thoughts on Current Valaverse Quality.

    For me the main pull of the wave was the gas mask pack as well as accessories. The urban commando surprisingly had no issues you listed. As well as the tracer. But I have no arctic so I have no clue. I wish the hands were gummy so that popping in and out is easier but overall I've had a fine time with it. Valid review. Just sucks that the comment section is full of people who either hate or love vala. I love valas stuff but if someone is having a bad time with it. It should be seen so the line improves further.

      -Didn’t count the tracer cause he’s made of a different plastic, but will take your word on the urban trooper which is good to hear. Agree with you on the hands point. They definitely need a to use a different durometer level or plastic altogether. Hope they do…

    I recommend silocone shock oil for the joints. It make the articulation smooth and keeps the joints from locking up even when the figure cools down. That way you avoid having to keep reheating unless you are swapping heads or hands.

    • @shadowtoysphotography
      @shadowtoysphotography  Před 3 měsíci

      Sounds like a great tip but does it make the figure oily afterwards?

    • @aaroneaston8899
      @aaroneaston8899 Před 3 měsíci +4

      @shadowtoysphotography No, it only takes a very small amount. Try it on a knee joint, then work the articulation. Afterwards wipe off the excess, and you're good to go.

    Have to agree with him about stiff joints, i have a duster and a roullout figures. as someone whos been collecting just NECA figures for couple of years it's perfectly normal to use hairdryer to heat up your figures before moving and posing the. The first time i didn't heat up my Duster figure his nec peg broke and it's because there isn't enough space between the head and the neck peg. I don't say just because one breakage this toys are crap, but hard plastic pegs and no room for joints to move it's not a QC issues, it jus a issues that they have to fix. If they changed plastic for the joints this toy line would be great, but until then its just mediocre. Don't get guys who are all into any toyline and they will defend it no matter what.

    Valaworse?... Addendum: Bobby Vala never did SCAR 17s. Only SCAR 16s... There is also a compact SCAR16S (compact), but it seems Bobby Vala first took the SCAR17 model, but gave it magazines for 5.56mm.
    And the suppressors are actually a good thing. Most operatives use them. a) it reduces the noise for the shooter. Especially with 7.62mm NATO, that bang is loud. And usually you don't wear earmuffs in combat. b) They are very effective flash hiders (so don't display suppressed guns with muzzle flashes), and c) newer suppressors reduce the amount of powder residue the shooter might inhale (OH&S). You can not "silence" supersonic ammunition, so the idea that these are for covert ops is false.

    • @shadowtoysphotography
      @shadowtoysphotography  Před 3 měsíci +2

      Don’t mind silencers on weapons just as long as they are removable. The difference between real life scars, as you mentioned, are barrel and ammo sizes, NOT the actual entire total mass size of the gun itself which was the point. His first released scar was too big and this new one is too small. We need one that’s juuuust righttt.

    • @sunnyssundries
      @sunnyssundries Před 3 měsíci +4

      @@shadowtoysphotography Suppressors, not silencers. They might reduce the noise of the initial bang by 30db. Further, you can not silence, what goes super sonic. You’d have to use sub-sonic ammo, but that goes with a big loss in range, penetration power, etc. Making them removable on the toys might cause problems with breaking bits/barrels, bents, because it would all be even more spindly than it is now. Or the barrels might end up being too big.
      Bobby Vala released much worse things than that. The Swarm Troopers come with a Kriss Vector Carbine. Those are meant for the civilian market. Meaning a) semi-auto only, the long barrel is to prevent concealed carrying, and they have Glock mags inserted (17/19 rounds with 9mm, 13 with .45 ACP). He can get away with that, because most customers have no idea.

    • @shadowtoysphotography
      @shadowtoysphotography  Před 3 měsíci +2

      Silencers/suppressors, clips/mags, for example is splitting terminology hairs. I see what you’re saying and not only agree but admire your passion for military accuracy but you’re comparing real world to action figures. You’re talking about Bobby didn’t add the right magazines to his flying sci-fi bug men. Again I agree and will be more mindful when using some certain terminology going forward, however you have to leave some room for occasional inaccuracies. Going back to my original point about the scar I’m simply saying it is out of scale for 1/12, closer to 5 inch, that’s all.

    • @sunnyssundries
      @sunnyssundries Před 3 měsíci +5

      @@shadowtoysphotography nah, a clip is usually what you used with bolt-action rifles. That metal strip, where the cartridges are attached to, and then you put it onto the rifle‘s breech, and slide down the bullets into the internal magazine. People sometimes call box magazines clips, but that‘s a fallacy, not hairsplitting.
      Regarding the Vector CRB, it‘s way more than just the wrong mag. Those guns are entirely useless for warfare.

    Surprised to find a video criticizing Valaverse. Just doesn't happen in my wanderings.
    I like the Valaverse builders and I like supporting new and niche lines. I've given Valaverse a few hundred bucks across a few dozen figures.
    I had three Eclipses. All broke in the hips. Moved her head to the female steel brigade and I find those bodies are better. Has to be something with that plastic.
    Pandora is the figure that felt the most quality and still does.
    All my other male builders are super stiff and feel fragile to the touch. Again, it's mostly the legs and hips, even with heating.

    I find the plastic quality to be way better then hasbro and to compare it to Japanese toy companies that can cost 1to 1/2 to double the cost of a action force hardly seems fair.
    As to the scar weapon sizes. There are 2 versions of the scar the heavy and the light. Perhaps that's wat valaverse is going for there. But he also chged the designer he uses for his accessories so that might account for the size differences. A lot of the weapons that used to feel too big have been slightly scaled down in the new series. If that's the case so what? Hes improving his line. You cant say the same for hasbro and that gummy crap Ive been getting this past year. Also Ive purchased little armory line. The weapons are too small. Japan goes for a true 1/12 scale in their stuff. The US goes 6" which in fact is slightly bigger then 1/12 scale. Why I don't know but that is the case.
    As to the winter figure. I love them. I wanted and posed them in the snow under a pine tree and they look fantastic. My only grip is that the all white back pack is a little bland. I fixed that with a black wash.
    Lastly you are right about the buck. They are a small company so their production costs are much higher from china then hasbro's is. So when valaverse wants to repaint and ruse as much as they can I'm fine with it. But it is time for something new or a whole new series of accessories to frshen things up. Like medic and heavy weapons load outs.
    But lets also be fair Hasbro reuses old bucks allot more then most people think. Far too many female classified figs have scarlets shity one elbow joint arms and then theres shitty shin guard boots that come on far too many male figs in the classified line. Also don't get me started on the number of snake eyes and batts repaints we've gotten. 😂😂
    In future lines Id like to see a more stocky and maybe a little more busty female fig and the male line could use a bugger male and thinner male buck. As to their durability Ive only worried about that when putting other lines heads on valverses figs. Ive never broken anything when taking on and off valaverse parts. and I can hardly hold valverse responsible for hasbro parts not fitting properly on valverse parts. I can hold Hasbro responsible for how often theve changed the ball joints for heads or the inconsistency of their hands. And don't get me started on how variable the bloody foot peg holes can vary on classified toys never mind their 6 inch line. take for instance the snow shows on snow job and the snow serpent. Other the color they look EXACTLY the same. I cant swap the shoes between the different figures. The pegs on the snow shoes ARE NOT THE SAME SIZE!😂😂😂😂😂😂

      To be fair you can buy a Japanese import toy at a target or Walmart for $35 which is around the same as a vala, hasbro, or neca fig. And let’s be honest, technically they’re ALL imports. Not a one of them is made here. Also, Idk why everyone is comparing vala to hasbro when the point of this video was comparing vala to past valas. Only brought out 2 joes to demonstrate plastic quality, that’s it. Company sizes, budgets, past releases from other companies are completely irrelevant to the point of this video folks.

      Wow this is basically a hit piece on Action Force figures, trying to get his durometer and other trade info so hasbro can improve their gummy figures. What do you get some extra free Helix figures for your trouble😂 ? I have had my $5 Ollie's Dusty snd Zarana lose their arms pretty often at the mid bicep bend. I have bought both lines since the end of 2022 and I haven't broke a valaverse figure but I have gotten joes with stress marks on the hips and had to heat and use silicone oil on my joes pretty often because I like and take care of my figures regardless of the maker. I also heat my Mcfarlane figs if they feel tight to loosen them. If you have Asian market figures with their delicate joints and don't work them they will break. If you were trying to be fair you'd dig out the joes and show their issues. You just call valaverse garbage repeatedly with your mincy tone and are obviously a hit piece tool. Btw you heat the figures and work the joints to unstick any paint on the joints and smooth the new joint friction, they won't bind back up then when they cool. I've never heard of you before and you coming out of nowhere with this and the durometer questions is laughable. I'm nobody and don't give a shit about your opinion but you should be intellectually honest at least. 😂😂

      For someone who doesn’t give a shit you sure did write a mighty lengthy opinion about it. If hasbro wants to know his duro then they can just ask their manufacturing manager. Both companies use the same crappy factory. Sorry if these facts bother you.

      I don't think that's a fair criticism. These aren't from a multibillion dollar corporation, they're from an independent creator with a small team. Those licensed figure can keep prices down to due the large amount of stuff they can sell to make up some of that lost cost. A smaller manufacturer can't do that. If they were heaper, they'd literally be burning money and go out of business...

    • @shadowtoysphotography
      @shadowtoysphotography  Před měsícem +1

      To be fair the only multibillion dollar toy corporation out there is hasbro. Everyone else is in the multimillions. Even smaller ones like 4horse, vala, and mezco ,for example, all managed to stay in business 10 plus years (minus Vala) without only relying on licensed IPs and without raising their prices as much. 3rd party companies don’t pay any fees, have tiny runs, their figures have clothed goods, and still grow and make money so your logic doesn’t really apply.

    I have the same figures you're showing here minus the complaints. Yes, the plastic is tough to move but I either heat them or add shock oil and then go about my business. But I do that for all lines.
